You did great and got the best out of one of our home beat em up expert in @Bearcat-Doug. These are the only players that broke the TMNT III bank and made our custom tie breaker rule useful! Let's note that Doug, while taking second, also did his run on only 1-life, which should be duly applauded. Again this week, competition was very tough for the ranking spots, and 3rd to 6th players, respectfully @skinnygrinny, @arnpoly, @NESfiend and @TWarwick07 were taken by score of 800k+, with skinny being a few thousands shy of 900k and 4 life bars of beating the game within the rules, which is hard to swallow in a sense, but also the kind of situation that builds up a player's overall experience to deal with the competition! Next in line were regular rank holders @Gaia Gensouki with a 700k+ score and @0xDEAFC0DE with a 600k+ one. To finish this up, I'll tip my hat to the 400k club for their great work, including our 9th place prince @ninjistar, @Jeevan, @8bitdontquit and @Scrobins! Since Kid Dracula's score didn't have a second picture with maxed score, per the rules: "If you reach Shredder with a score of 900,000 or more, take a picture before beating Shredder. If you beat him, take another picture with your score maxed. Your final score will be your score before the Shredder fight + the 100k bonus for beating him." I recorded this as it was posted, knowing that the mods would review. But also, there were so many posts by some folks that I may have missed one as well! Kid Dracula | 126 Posted May 4, 2020 Share Posted May 4, 2020 I didn’t want to give too much away because clearly Bearcat Doug is the best at this game. But I figured out after a few hours of playing this game that certain attacks on certain enemies award significant points. Of course you want to use your regular weapon attack on most foot soldiers for 600 points instead of 400 with the throw attack or jump kick or 200 points with the special attack. However, there are probably 5 or 6 enemies throughout the game you want to use your throw attack on to finish them off. With this you get 1000 points instead of the usual 600. These enemies are- (A) the things that electrocute you in level 2. Try to pick off as many as you can as the screen scrolls by using the throw move. (B) the ray gun shooting mechanical 4 legged creatures in the technodrome (C) the 4 mechanical insects that fly out of the screen in the technodrome (twice) (D) The mousers in level 5 and 7 (E) the ball like enemies that fire shots at you in stage 8 as the light blue foot soldiers attack you.
