Oof poor Ristar. I love that game to death but Bloodlines is also very good. I take it not enough people played Ristar though. It probably my favorite Genesis game.

The funny part is, that was my first Genesis game at home age 6. If it wasn't up against SoR2 - arguably my favorite Genesis title - it would almost surely have gotten my vote. Great game!

I seem to remember it being popular, but never top tier.  It's a good game but platformers were like a dime a dozen in that era.  Castlevania was already genre royalty, and the genesis outing didn't phone anything in.

I'm in the minority with Aladdin. Granted I prefer platformers to beat em ups. Though SoR2 may well be the goat of beat em ups, I'm still going with the iconic Aladdin.
