A game delayed in the mail in Missouri (SFC game) for 9 days lost until people complained(seller) it amazingly moved next day to here, Ranma 1/2 Chougi Ranbu Hen which is the SF2 clone style fighter the series had. And then due to my friend I found Joe and Mac for 10 off the usual price for Genesis that came in the mail early as I saw Monday but it appeared. Then locally I dug up for like (combined value) for 1/2 the rate Test Drive 2 Genesis and Biker Mice and Firepower for SNES and all the stuff other than the cheap Gen title are in excellent shape. Nice what you can find in your own county if you dig enough, and I may have a potential package deal on some SNES games too if the guy writes me back. RuneFactory 2/ Intellivision Lives/ Image: Boutique (sealed upgrade) MarioKart DS FR/US NFR this case has 2 instructions one for English and one for French. MarioKart DS (Sleeve) Complete originally came with Mariokart DS and DS bundle. Guitar Hero On Tour (Display Case) This was used for store displays not sure what store.. Next we have: a few upgrades from Cart only to CIB. The Sweet 16 Case it an Excursive to Target. inside is a gift card for 5 dollars off for a Petz/ Imagine/ Style Lab/ game. next we have the a few more Atelier Annie: Alchemists of Sera Island was a cart only to CB now need the instructions to make a cib Moto Racer DS was a Frankenstein cib (i'm ok with that) have to find out if this a excluaive to Toy's R US or if there was an other release. another few cart only to cib. just missing a instructions for Starfox. lastly a NFR from a trade with @RH Kickstarter Thumby arrived this week very cool to somewhat play. This is also one of the games on the console re-released as a Player's Choice game in Europe only (Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow is another). Like many PAL releases of games, Splinter Cell has a language selection not in the American release. It lacks Progressive Scan support, however, which the American version does have. On the back of the cover for the American release, it mentions some bonus features. The European release doesn't mention these on the cover. Despite this it still has bonus features, though there are some changes. The random facts and Michael Ironside interview video were removed, apparently. I guess they ran out of disc space after including the different languages. However a making of documentary was added, which talks about the opening video. First off I am continuing with my Japanese Mega Drive set: Super happy with my MUSHA there, I've been playing it and I am really loving it, definitely gonna try and complete that one! Also, there is a SFC Theme Park snuck in there, don't worry about that! Next I picked up another 64DD game: I actually already have this one, but I really wanted this because the game inside is still sealed! I now have 7 out of ten of the 64DD titles sealed. I have an open Doshin the giant as well, but I still need to try and find a sealed one. Next up, we have some OG XBOX love, @drxandy REPRESENT! Couple Taiwan version games I need in good shape, plus a lovely boxed Green Taiwan version XBOX! I had been watching this online for a while and the seller recently cut the price by like a quarter so I snapped it up ASAP! Finally, we save the best for last... The box that my XBOX was mailed in... Legit Koei Tecmo box, lol! And yeah thanks dude, I only wish I could find the final two 64DD games I need for the full set, it's basically impossible to find the Golf game and Doshin expansion for that set. Such a gem with all the key players in that sequel. It's been a little bit so time for some updates. I had a trade going with my friend as I had small pile of stuff he wanted and in return I ended up with the Batman, Stunt Race, Aladdin and Star Wars game in the mail a few days ago and later that day got that TinStar for $10. Then on Thursday got my favorite version of flight sim there dos cd 5.1 and it was sealed for just $6 and it's not sealed now. Later in the day got good, went into a local shop, came out blowing a bit more than expected but got the 3 Genesis games for $100, they're spotless other than sun wear on the lion king spine, but whatever don't often see that poster and the game itself is excellent they're usually worn. Outrunners I'm digging but I can't seem to win, the AI loves to slam but it's so wel ldone, and 2019 isn't bad either just different. Today heading back from dropping my kid off, found those 2 toys in the other shot for $20ea. Voltron there is actually kids(as always barely working) binoculars and intact. Batman(Forever) mini play set there is 100% complete which is impressive given the tiny size, also had a couple extra figures from a partner set. The toy is kind of cool, trap doors, moving platform, even ejects the car on a spring. That's TwoFace there with Batman and a couple spare bats. The CD in the background came in the mail yesterday, one of those collated 'the best' setups from 21 years ago, has highlight tunes from Dragon Quest 1-7. 8 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I got the chance to test the system out this weekend, and check the system version. This is an important thing to do with OG XBOX because the earlier board revisions (1.1 to 1.5) have cheap leaky clock capacitors that must be removed to avoid ruining the motherboard. I was surprised that this actually IS one of the earlier revisions, as my other two "special" XBOXES are both the later revision 1.6. I also noticed during testing that the image was a little shaky, which is a sign of bad caps, although fortunately the disc drive functions normally, as that is the most common point of failure for an XBOX. Anyway, I opened the fucker up and removed the leaky clock cap, and cleaned up the residue, but I then noticed these three big caps leaking: Now I know why I was getting a shaky image! Fortunately, I have experience with replacing these particular caps, as I had to perform the exact same procedure on another XBOX. I don't actually have any spare caps of this kind at the moment, so I will have to order some online and wait before I fix it, but IMO it is worth the hassle for this particular unit because it is otherwise in good shape. Anyway, my advice to ANYONE purchasing or using an OG XBOX in 2022 is to find some time to open it up and examine the board for leaky caps and ESPECIALLY to remove the leaky clock cap. At this point I have opened up and serviced like SIX OG XBOXES, and it is VERY important to keep on top of maintenance with these machines in general, IMO. 2 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sega seemingly was a bit better than Nintendo on localization. I know some of them are grossly expensive, and I'm fine using other means to get stuff like that, but anything obtainable for american like values I'm good for.
