a3quit4s | 4,370
I saw three doors down in high school with my mom cause she won tickets from WRRV went to rock the bells on Randalls Island that had wu tang/Cyprus hill/ Rage against the machine which was totally awesome and nuts ive seen linkin park twice once at Madison Square Garden and once at Jones beach i passed up a chance to see Beastie Boys in Boston because I’m totally stupid i can’t believe I’ve only been to about 4 concerts even though I love music. I was supposed to see RATM again in 2020 but the pandemic forced it to 2021 and again to this year. Madison Square Garden again @Reed Rothchild jealous of Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters especially now with the passing of Taylor Hawkins Edited May 1, 2022 by a3quit4s

drxandy | 3,284
Nice lists! I dont think I could tackle one from hazy memory over the years but a good memory coming to me is one time I got to work the local date for the sounds of the underground tour in 2007, ended up handing out posters at the door and helping with autograph signings for acacia strain, shadows fall, amon amarth, number 12 looks like you and oderus from gwar. Oderus was the only one with a body guard and stipulations for beer during the signing, stayed in charecter the whole time, a real pro haha. Then work was done and I got to see the gwar set, and get covered in colorful fluids.
doner24 | 1,227 Moderator ·
I’ve been to so many that it wouldn’t be worth listing. Tons of alternative & metal stuff back in the 90’s. Mostly country, Americana, and indie rock since then, but I’ve seen something from pretty much any genre. I’ve seen Lucero and Tyler Childers the most. These days I only go to shows in smaller rooms, but I do have a Red Rocks trip coming up to see Turnpike Troubadours again. I also have a festival planned to finally see Willie Nelson in July. Some of my favorites were as follows: Pearl Jam, Tyler Childers, Lucero, Leon Bridges, Gary Clark Jr., Turnpike Troubadours, Merle Haggard, Britney Spears, Twin Shadow, Sturgill Simpson, Arlo McKinley, Buffalo Wabs, Ryan Adam’s, Mike and the Moonpies, Warrant, Slipknot.
RH | 5,227
I saw a bunch of Christian bands in college, some of which had their big moments but I got to see them when they were still playing to 100-150 people. Living Sacrifice Project 86 Blindside Five Iron Frnezy Stavesacre MxPx Reliant K Switchfoot Starflyer 59 Hopesfall Carmen… lol More but I can’t remember. My non-Christian list is short, mostly out of cheap/free opportunity. Coldplay Elton John (was cancelled, so missed) Bela Fleck (solo) Bela Fleck and the Flecktones Keane (legit, worst. Concert. DefaultGen | 5,726
I went to an Iron Maiden show a few years ago and am planning on going to another this year. Besides like a dozen MAGFests and a Bit Brigade show I think that's about it. I'm more of a student of live theater than music which is why I've been to many more professional wrestling shows. 1
Skorp | 387
Dang, nice list Reed. Some awesome bands there! For me I'd say between 20 - 30 bands. Most recent was the August Burns Red, Killswitch Engage and Light the Torch tour that I have been waiting since 2020 to atttend. Gosh darn it, was it awesome! To see Howard and Jesse duet together has made my lifetime complete really. Other bands on top of my head, All That Remains, Linkin Park, Pantera, Disturbed, Born of Osiris, Make Them Suffer, Code Orange, Between the Buried and Me, Buckethead, Dragonforce, Emmure, The Devil Wears Prada, Blink 182, Chelsea Grin, Nothing More, Palisades, Alter Bridge, Metallica, Megadeth, Breaking Benjamin so many more... oh and Killswitch Engage I have seen them 6 times now. Just waiting for a Times of Grace tour now for the new album. Edited May 2, 2022 by Skorp

twiztor | 919
a ton. all types of genres: country, classic rock, modern rock, rap, metal, punk, hip hop, blues. just a ton of variety. i've been to at least one major act concert every year since my first concert in 1998- except in 2012. i don't remember for sure, but i'd imagine it's because i got married that year. my latest challenge is trying to see as many big 80s Hair Metal bands as i can. the 2 biggest on my list i haven't seen yet are Cinderella (not together anymore, but lead singer/songwriter Tom Keifer still tours, and that's close enough for me) and Whitesnake. first concert: Korn & Rob Zombie, March 1999. latest concert: Warren G, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg (2 weeks ago!) best show: Motley Crue (2014). sounded great, lots of stuff happening on stage. the highlight was easily Tommy Lee's drumkit antics! coolest venue: Codfish Hollow. It's a barn. that's it, a barn out in the country. there's no parking lot- you park in a field. you can camp out in said field as well.
Nintegageo | 583
I am not really into the large stadium shows, though I used to attend punk rock and other alternative ones when I was younger. The smaller shows are awesome. Highlights: Pennywise Bad Religion Belvedere 1

Estil | 1,292
I went to a George Jones one in the mid 90s and my wife and me went to a Jodie Messena one mid-late 00s. If I could jump in a DeLorean and could only go to one concert, it'd be this one! And you know how the Beatles led the British Invasion of the US in the mid-60s? Well a way better band (bigger than the Beatles as Joe Diffie would say!) did a Swedish Invasion of Down Under in the mid-70s! fcgamer | 5,015
Famous artists / musicians? I saw these. -Ilse de Lange -Revolverheld (opened for Silbermond) -Silbermond -Sam Bettens (x 2 - first time in Frankfurt, second time in NYC. Actually I saw him when he was still Sarah Bettens) -Clay Aiken (Christmas concert) -Bo Bice -Tracy Lawrence -Mark McGuinn -Guns n Roses -Fire Ex. -Oak Ridge Boys I also saw a show at Branson and one in Nashville, so I saw several famous artists perform, though not a whole dedicated show. Maybe I saw some other famous artists too, these are just the ones off the top of my head. I also really enjoy seeing professional theatrical performances. Here is what I have seen: Broadway: -Lion King -Aida -Les Miserables (x2) Toronto: -Phantom of the Opera I know I saw Annie Get Your Gun, I think it was on Broadway too. Actually I am missing about three or four shows I had seen, this is going to bother me for awhile tonight. edit: Had tickets to see Christina Stuermer perform, but I overslept and missed the train the day of the concert, as I had been out drinking too late the night before. Even if I did get the train, I doubt I would have made it to the concert, as I think that the address where I thought the venue was, was indeed incorrect. Lovely thing about travelling abroad in 2007, without a proper phone. Edited May 3, 2022 by fcgamer

glazball | 176
Man, my musical tastes differ wildly from most of you! I won't type out a list, but can mention some of my favorite concerts: 1993 - Information Society and Anything Box at Astroworld - ABox has always been one of my favorites and they'll be playing again this July! 1994 - Nine Inch Nails at International Ballroom in Houston. This show was before Closer was released as a single and his/their popularity exploded. 1999ish - Morphine at Liberty Lunch in Austin - was tripping and this show was just incredible 2005ish - Muse in Austin - almost brought to tears. They are so damn talented.
