Tanooki | 4,937
Kind of seems senseless doing an image, could include it later, especially with the bombs dropped in here this week. Today I got TRAX for the Game Boy in the mail. It's fun. It's very short. It's not hard. A perfect pick up and play accomplishment if you have 30min to burn and want to feel good about your time. HAL really made something special there, a forgotten one off that has few copies oddly enough ever up for sale at any time.

The Trax tank actually makes a cameo as an enemy in Kirby Super Star, so Hal didn't completely forget about it.

I only ever played it in emulation, rarely ever seen a real copy between 3 different states going back to the 90s, and even then not the 2 here but back west. I was in on the ground floor of the birth of handheld/console emulation in the mid 90s and an early bundle of the first GB games copied using special tools before kits existed was bundled with an emulator just called VGB for DOS and it was in that stack of around 50 titles and I got to liking it back then. I just never came across it, so yesterday was the first legit use on hardware which was nice. I probably should have taken an image though, because I also have that retro-bit Avenging Spirit cart package too sitting on my desk.
Tanooki | 4,937
Well I had a reason now to put Trax and Avenging Spirit in a picture, a year and some day or so later and a solid on Fedex delivering a day early too, Analogue Pocket and its accessory friends arrived. For those (and best not in here) who have it, what's the deal with it (the dock) not being cool with wireless or even most wired controllers? I wasted some hours yesterday with that mess. Even the switch pro that does work, if you can get it to link up, once you shut down the pocket and come back forget it which is really handy. MegaMan52 | 2,450
Christmas goodies: Got a Gaming Chair. I've seen this Chair at Walmart a few times. I needed a new Office Chair, which I neglected to buy for several months. So I was given this Chair. Not an Office Chair, but a Gaming Chair. Fine by me. My brother painted this Mega Man picture. Took about twelve hours to paint, apparently. I'm glad he based it on other, better games in the series like Mega Man 4, instead of the most overrated and frequently talked about game in the series. Got a Super Scope with Super Scope 6, box, manuals, receiver, and inserts. Now I can play Yoshi's Safari, which I bought at a retro game store a couple years ago. Got the new Sonic the Hedgehog game on Switch. A month or so ago, I joined the Sonic Frontiers newsletter and got a code for Sonic's shoes from Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Also downloaded the Holiday Cheer Suit DLC. Mario Kart Hot Wheels toys and a track. I saw the Hot Wheels Mario Kart goodies @spacepup was offering for prizes. Even though I didn't win any, it looks like I got some anyway. And rightfully so. Also got a Mario puzzle. Some Mario and Sonic Calendars. I got the new Top Gun movie on Blu-ray. I watched it in the Theater earlier this year. Of all of the movies I watched that were released this year, this one is my favorite. Well worth the wait. And I got a Christmas Lantern. I was told that I'll be getting another Christmas present but not until January, due to the fact it's being shipped from the U.S. and shipping is slow right now. Video Rental Store Stuff: I did some travelling earlier this month and visited a video rental store. While there are still 200-300 video rental stores in Canada according to Gloves, that is a small amount considering there used to be several thousand. For more info and pictures, check out my blog. Though I couldn't rent anything since I don't live anywhere near this store, I bought Dick Tracy on VHS. It works. Chuck E. Cheese: I visited multiple Chuck E. Cheese restaurants earlier this month, both different than the location I visited a couple months ago on my Birthday. The game selection was different at both. I used this Chuck E. Cheese Sketchbook Machine. It takes a picture of you, then plays an animation of Chuck E. drawing the picture. It then prints it in black and white. Kind of like the Game Boy Camera. Downloaded the Chuck E. Cheese App and got 500 E-tickets for free, which I used to get Cotton Candy (half and half). At the other location I went to, I only played two games (well, technically just one) because it was getting late and it was a long drive back home. This location had a Photo Booth machine. Sort of like the Sketchbook machine, but prints in color and doesn't have an animation of Chuck E. drawing. The boarder around the picture differs depending on whether you took the picture inside or outside of the Booth. I wore the blue Play Band I got on my Birthday a couple months ago, which still had points on it for playing games. This location had a Mario Kart Arcade game, one of the few Mario Kart games I hadn't played. Anyone who's played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on VGS game nights (or looked at pictures and/or videos on my social media pages) knows I'm good at Mario Kart, so it is no surprise that I got 1st place on 150cc in this game. The Salvation Army pickups: Went to the Salvation Army and bought The Green Mile and GoldenEye. I didn't really need GoldenEye on VHS since I've got all of the James Bond movies on Blu-ray (except for the newest one), but it only cost a buck. Other stuff: Downloaded Pinball FX3. It's a little disappointing that the Back to the Future game that was released ten or so years ago hasn't been release for Switch. But at least this compilation includes the Back to the Future Pinball game. Bought some Minecraft cereal. Noticed it while getting some groceries. Code Monkey | 2,011
I found a copy of the second rarest North American licensed NES manual. Along with some other variants I didn't already have and some cartridges to fill empty boxes I've had for years. And also some controller overlays I've never seen before.
Renmauzo | 1,202
As I wind down, I'd decided a few months ago that I would finally start my J-Saturn journey. My wife rocked my world yesterday with some amazing games she got on the sly: I'd mentioned Gundam Wing: Endless Duel for SFC (and she loves Gundam WIng, so I thought it'd be fun to play together) and she knew I still had one more FFT figure to go. But then she hit me with a couple of consoles. We were watching a Sega Lord X hardware video for Saturn not too long ago, and so she got us a V-Saturn and a Hi-Saturn which is just awesome! I just signed up for KidShoryuken's Patreon in November for the fun of seeing what he'll send game-wise, but me wife set us up with an instant collection of awesome games. We played some X-Men vs. Street Fighter last night after the kids went to bed and family went home...what a trip! ******************************* I hope all of you had - and continue to have - a wonderful Christmas and holiday with family, friends, and happiness! 6 2

The Japanese SS library is amazing. Some fantastic shmups and fighters. Not sure if you’re going for a full set, but once you get past the shmups and fighters most of the rest of the library is pretty cheap, besides a few rarer titles. Tanooki | 4,937
Today i went out over the river as it has been at least 4 months or something, and while what I found was light on variety I'd pay for (and kind of in general post Christmas) but also was light on price, but heavy on whoa. At one location in the back corner of this huge place where there is this one dude who pegs up usually old and not so old toys, a few random games, and not much else my eyes did a double take on a bag, I thought it was the first game, but no...it was #3, and then flipping it over there was a manual I'm happy to own again...and what's this? $3?! Why yes I'll take that. The anime dvd pack is the full series, that was $18 at another shop across the way. Lufia II there is in fantastic shape, but MMX3 was destroyed big time. Cover detached, cover nearly tore in two, ink damage, hole, other crap wrong... I did a VGS restore post if someone cares to check as that took some time to get it as good as it can get at this rate to stop the decay (which surely will trigger some collectors, so be it.) If you don't believe the price, check the bag, I left the label on it for the image. https://www.videogamesage.com/forums/topic/315-vgs-restoration-shop-/?do=findComment&comment=322660

Galdius | 1,515
The last games of 2022: Switch, GC, GBA and Mega Drives (I'm missing 4 games for the Tectoy fullset now) games: The GBC games are doubles. Got lucky and found this CIB PC SMW for US$80 and bought all the Brazilian Switch games that Nintendo released here: Finally managed to add the Brazilian 24 Hours of Le Mans for the GBC to the collection and found a Playtronic Castlevania III that I already traded for some games: Traded Castlevania III for those 3 Brazilian GBC games and a box of Quest for Camelot (not pictured). For the Brazilian GBC set now I'm missing the Quest for Camelot manual and 1 CIB game. 11
