Got Sonic & Knuckles Collection for PC. It includes Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Blue Sphere (the Sonic 1 "lock-on" version). It also has a Screensaver.

Like Sonic Origins, some of the music in Sonic 3 (such as Icecap Zone) was replaced with music from prototype versions of Sonic 3.

I've had the PC version of Sonic 3D Blast since 2000 or so (and sometimes put it in a Discman and listen to its soundtrack). Maybe I'll buy the rest of the Sonic games in the Sega PC Collection sometime.

Edit: By the way, Sonic Gems Collection for GameCube has pretty much all of the images from the Screensaver included in Sonic & Knuckles Collection, including the ones that are missing in Sonic Jam:

It also has the Desktop Wallpaper from Sonic Jam.

I had that first one as a kid.  Trying to play Sonic with a keyboard was not optimal.

edit: Actually, now that I think about it, it was a cheap cardboard package that held cases for Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic CD, and Sonic R.  I had forgotten about that.

double edit: Found it

Those music boxes are fun, for a time I had considered a few, one would have been the primary theme (crystal) that tends to play on the title screen of many Final Fantasy games, easily picked up off FF4(2 US) from the get go.

I should have mentioned this to @avatar! (-> instead of giving him both a wrong reaction and a bad joke <- 😅) is that I chose to get one from Square Enix's line because it is small. With the only downside being that it only plays a fraction of whatever song was chosen for it. But I am fine with that since I only plan to display it once I managed to buy my own place.

No worries, I knew what you meant and it was all in good fun and humor 🙂

Few items came in.

2 DS variants I needed and Full Quiet. Very excited for it!
Also found a very cool used 25” TV. It has all the old school connections and HDMI. It is only 4in thick (still heavy though). I can hook up any system to it. Old and new!

I've slowed on gaming buys still, so what we have here is a mix of gaming and anime.  The oldest item below is from around a week and a half ago I guess now, remembered I was missing #52 of NP so I paid up $15 for it shipped, it was the only one I missed from 1-76.

Next one would be Lufia II there, grabbed that for $110 as it needed some label minor repair up on the flap (see VGS repair shop) given what it costs now, and the $1.50 the manual I'm pleased, so far, it's a great game.

A few days ago I looked around my usual close by stuff, almost nothing, but I did find that nice Arwing, fox, and the 2 add-on pieces from Starlink for $7.  The game got boring, but the ship is fantastic, shame they never did starfox toys so I had to get it.  The same time that was found, I got Chiki Chiki Boys in the mail, came from another forum for $35 (costs $50 on ebay) so it was worth it to me...hard game, fun game.

And then finally the rest...today I went out late morning, found Strider for $10 and GTA for $40, good grabs, that GBA is an underrated fantastic title (GTA3 on the go.)  And then on the way back hit another shop, and found one thing I had hoped to find eventually Claymore complete, and boom...memory jogged there was a Goemon anime, and it's all there too, $40 for the pair.  Super happy to have those.

I was cleaning up my Amazon wishlist and noticed I'd never pulled the trigger on Jake Hunter, so I'll add 'new 3DS game' to the list of things I didn't think would happen in 2023, and I finally got around to picking up the 2 Bitmap books I've been meaning to get; a book about all things KoF and a book about beat 'em ups, sign me up all day!

7C3BHhXGSquD-I4W4KWC-Q.jpg.baa21a5c9c132d4ad85e84d5471071ba.jpg

Other than that, I got VGP to split an order that was holding up Cuphead, Sophstar, and The Callisto Protocol so that I could sneak some play in between Symphony of the Night and Tactics Ogre play sessions. I'd missed out on the order window for WIndjammers 2 and couldn't find it a couple months back at PRGE, but luckily, I discovered PNP in Winnipeg carries all the LRG and Signature Edition releases, so I was able to right that wrong.

As for Atari 50, I haven't played an Atari game in over 30 years, but this package is the one that finally roped me in, in large part due to historical component that Digital Eclipse integrated into the package. I find gaming history absolutely fascinating and could read books on the subject all day if I had the time to do so, so things like this are really captivating to me; very much looking forward to spending some time with Atari 50.

And that's it for now. I will have some more Japanese Saturn titles on the way shortly, so that is going to be super exciting for me. Until next time!

New year, new me:

image.jpeg.1ca35c637d85876326f772ad974e9c1d.jpeg

Snagged this R-Type arcade marquee off eBay. Sun faded pretty bad, but I couldn't beat the BIN price of $34 shipped.

An out of state friend gifted me a gift certificate to Gorilla Games up in New Hampshire. Had a lazy weekend last week so took the two hour drive to check the place out. Chatted with the owner for a bit, cool guy. I was able to knock another hard-to-find game off my NES checklist.

Probably my best pickup ever. Huge Vita lot that came in at $6 per game. Includes special editions, a Goku statue, art prints (I'm going to frame RE Revelations, Attack on Titan and DBZ), a One Piece manga (no idea why this was included but I've always wanted to read One Piece) and also the guy accidentally left an 8GB official Vita memory card in one of the case which normally go for around $25.

Went to The Salvation Army and got Big Brain Academy with case, manual, and inserts for $5.

Also at Salvation Army, I found a first-party Sega Genesis Controller. It works.

Last month I got GoldenEye on VHS. Recently, I found The World is Not Enough on VHS. I've already got nearly all of the James Bond movies on Blu-ray so I don't really need them on VHS, but it was only a buck.

I also got the new Halloween movie on Blu-ray. Yeah yeah, I know it's not a very good movie (watched it in the Theater a few months ago). But I needed it to complete my Halloween collection.

I'm not so sure if I'll continue in my own thread, as it's more fun to post in here.

As I've mentioned in a bunch of threads, I've been enjoying Bandai Namco's games for the Wii. The next barrage of arrivals will be centered around them, but here's some stuff from the last few weeks. 🙂

1731845767_3DSGames.png.6f582f1fe88f7d8a45de43b4e4bbae69.png

I've been slowly rebuilding my collection of 3DS games, but I'm mostly sticking to first party releases this time around. Miitopia is genuinely great, and one of my favourite 3DS games.

2012063070_WiiGames2.png.d6f7d982cf3b4428d47271d88772bd4b.png

The Wii has been my main focus lately, but I won't sit and talk about every game in a ton of detail. Here are some bullet points though!

  • Lost in Shadow: I bought it when it came out, but never got very far. I thought I'd revisit it.
  • Wing Island: A mission based piloting game by Hudson. I've been enjoying their Wii games lately too.
  • We Love Golf: A Camelot golf game without the Mario characters, so basically Hot Shots Golf.
  • A Boy and His Blob: I also bought this when it came out and never finished it. I remember it being great.
  • Cooking Mama World Kitchen: The best Cooking Mama! Mama is extra cute due to the 3D models.
  • Tamagotchi Party On: A port of a Japanese exclusive Game Cube game.
  • We Cheer: An awesome motion control cheer leading game. It has a high learning curve and skill ceiling.
  • We Ski: An awesome skiing game with a high learning curve. I've already finished the game 100%. ☺️
  • Active Life Extreme Challenge: This game uses a power pad-esque mat, but I don't have the mat yet.
  • Active Life Explorer: Same deal as Extreme Challenge.

1669741184_WiiSystem.png.0bf7eb080cf6929b63fa7e402825c171.png

This was a $90.00 system, and it came with an extra Wii remote and nunchuk, and a copy of Wii Sports. 👍

I needed to buy a Wii because the Active Life mat plugs into the Game Cube controller ports. The entire series is incompatible with the Wii U. 😞 On the bright side I'm going to save a bunch of time not having to bounce back and forth between the Wii U and Wii menus anymore. 🙂

I don't think much will arrive for me next week, but the week after that should be pretty exciting. 🤩

I accumulated some mail in and local goodies over the last 2-3 days.  Honestly shocked, one of the mail-in came from australia, and wow I was led to believe the start of next month and ISC  O'Hare for once didn't want to keep stuff for 2+ weeks for sport.

That item is a @fcgamer level of crazy with the largest ever made SACHEN cart for gameboy, the 31-in-1 Mighty Mix which has all but like 4-5 of the games they ever made.  There are some really good titles on this thing and it's in excellent shape, converted from roo-bucks was $45 shipped which is cheap.

Also in the mail below, Mezzo complete, got it for 1/2 the price half price was grifting for in town, and the figures were thrown in free (bonus!)

Up the street a couple days ago persistence won out, Gauntlet Legends for $25 (vs $45-50) which is a solid win.  Part of the three best last arcade games Midway did that went to the home too, n64 version is amazing.

A few hours ago I had free time so I went looking and it paid off too.  A couple months back I found Ah My Goddess, and found there was a season two, sells for $75-80 online which I persistently refused to do, and half price paid off, $35 and the discs are excellent.

And then there was $30 (slight savings) getting Cotton for Switch, I had this before, but after having got (longer story) the Cotton Fantasy collector's box free and deciding to open it, I wanted the other back so I grabbed it.

Finally on the way back home, went into goodwill, found this gem here for $5, The 7th Guest, complete, discs are spotless, it's the original release for DOS-CD and even has a version upgrade 3.5" floppy inside from the maker and it's all complete in the box.
