MegaMan52 | 2,445
Visited my local game store again and bought these 3D printed Pikachu and mini Bulbasaur figures, both of which I've noticed several times in the last few months: The store also had a Charmander figure that was about the same size as the Pikachu figure, but I didn't see it there when I bought these. You didn't think I was going to leave the game store without buying more Airheads, did you? Not video game-related (then again, neither are the Airheads), but I decided to go Tim Hortons and buy some Candy Cane flavored Hot Chocolate and a couple packs of Hockey Cards. I used to collect McDonalds Hockey Cards in the 90's (and still have hundreds of them). The Cards were only $1 per pack, so I figured yeah I might as well buy some. Also downloaded the Wagan Land theme for Pac-Man 99. Edited November 27, 2021 by MegaMan52
Renmauzo | 1,201
Hi everyone! A few things came in today form SRG: Disc Room, which looks really fun, and The Talos Principle which I'm greatly intrigued by. As I'm sure has been the case for many, Pokémon was going to get purchased no matter what. Shin Megami Tensei V also arrived in the mail from VGP. I'm a fan of the series and wanted a copy, but my wife is a serious fan of the series and wanted her own copy. She's really looking forward to diving into the game once she gets back home next month, and I will live vicariously through her play-through I think as I just don't have the time right now to dive into such a heavy game in lieu of the other games on my 'to play' list. I'm loving these new Game & Watch releases, but the standout for me was finally getting an original Link's Awakening. What made this all the sweeter is that it was a local pickup, which, where I live is a monumental feat; the population on this island is so small and the retro community is virtually non-existent, so finding a mint and complete of this was shocking. I don't know what it is exactly about this game, but I prefer the original Game Boy release over the DX version. Is that weird? I don't know, but the original is just my preferred way to play. Thanks for taking a look everyone! I've got a few games coming soon that I'm really amped about. Until then, all the best!

RH | 4,904
The Epilogue to my Game Boy set collecting. Back when I was working to get mg GB set, I decided to buy large lots of games from Lukie Games for the games that were either uncommon or hard to find in excellent shape. I would buy 3-5 copies of each game, return all copies I didn't like the condition of. Generally, Lukie/JJ Games are more expensive than eBay but for some games, it was worth the bump in price if I could find mint carts. Anyway, I ended up making three different $300-500 purchases, and would return 80% of the inventory. This netted me a LOT of reward points. Well, I had forgotten I had some left over and a couple of weeks ago, I cashed out my last bit and got a free cooy of San Fransisco Rush: Extreme Racing. I think this is the end of all hanging responsibilities from that adventure, if you'd consider spending reward points a "responsibility".

Someone offered me the original art for those cards in trade for one of my games a few weeks ago.

Did you take it?! Please tell me you did. They could have practically anything in my collection for that stuff. Heck, if it's the right art, they could have ALL of my collection for it! 1

MegaMan52 | 2,445
Downloaded River City Melee Mach for Switch (huge fan of Super Dodge Ball and River City Ransom for NES): Also downloaded the YouTube application for Switch. I don't really need it, since I've had access to YouTube on my Computers for 15/16 years now. But I guess it's kind of cool being able to watch past VGS Game Nights, Japanese Mega Man commercials, and that obscure Bubsy cartoon on my TV using my Switch: I downloaded Super Amazing Wagon Adventure on Steam (love the Atari-style visuals): Downloaded Abobo's Big Adventure for PC (lots of cameos in this one): And last but not least, I downloaded Duck Doom Deluxe: I played this game in 2004/2005, when I had Windows 98 and Internet Explorer. I have Windows 7 and Microsoft Edge now, and the game still seems to work with modern(ish) Computers/Browsers. And you hook it to the internet?
