  1. I have a ton of these... Pretty much all the stuff they released in the first 4 or 5 waves before the branding changed. They're sealed sitting in a few totes somewhere with my amiibos. #regret
  2. Imagine Mario dies at the end and the Game Over screen comes up.
  3. It seems like there is a bit more on the market around here lately and also some places sitting for more than a few days. Let me know if you have any more specific questions. Big difference about living on the water and by the water and you'll have to think about being on septic vs. city water once you move outside the main hub of Halifax/Dartmouth/Sackville/Bedford. Heat pump is probably the way to go since it doesn't get cold here for extended amounts of time and heating oil is very expensive. Lots of provincial and federal grants in place now including big loans with 0% interest (up to 50k maybe?) for green improvements if you do get a somewhat older place with a furnace. Cost of living is rising here and taxes are high but a really great place to live to have the city/nature mix and a slower pace of life.
  4. God damn.. broken record here but Canada Post... $35 to send a small parcel to one major city to another. Criminal.
  5. NES - Mario SNES - Zelda N64 - Mario Game Cube - Mario Wii - Mario Wii U/Switch - Zelda I will note that Windwaker HD was significantly better than the original due to the fast sail feature alone.
  6. No, I don't think so. I'm definitely Turtled out for the moment.
  7. Fully completed this game.. maxed out all the characters in story mode, got all the achievements, no-deathed the game on normal. This game is pretty brutal on Gnarly difficulty though... massive damage/energy boosts for the enemies/bosses.
  8. Yeah, definitely seems to be slowing down a bit on here, especially after the domain change - I don't drop by nearly as often as a result, so maybe a little bit of a snowball effect. I'm likely bias as I don't collect as much any more (The WTB/Selling forum was my go to on NA but don't think I've even clicked on it here), but I also feel like the collecting scene is pretty stale in general. We still get blips of excitement and drama but far from how active things were 5-10+ years ago in general. Less finds, discoveries, debates, people wrapping up collections etc. etc. Even NA seemed to be falling apart near the end with way more shenanigans and a few members stirring the pot daily, but less about actual collecting and such. The Switch thread/newer gen stuff still seems to generate a lot of discussion and the Everything Else still has consistent participation but things have slowed noticeably from my perspective. I still plan on making a listing on here eventually to try and move some of my better stuff as I gradually gut my collection.
  9. Ross Chastain increased his speed and 'rode the wall' through the last turn to pass 4 or 5 people to just qualify for another race. I don't follow NASCAR, but I'm guessing this is relatively unprecedented and in the post-race interview he quotes that he used to do it on NASCAR 2005 for the Gamecube back in the day. Pretty hilarious. The interview (the clip of the pass is also early in the video):
  10. My favourite/best achievements are probably: 1/ Beating Ninja Gaiden 3 with no damage/deaths. 2/ No death Contra 3 on hard (done that quite a few times since though). 3/ Beat my Mario Maker level before they introduced checkpoints or anything (not a big fan of the 2nd half of the level in retrospect).
  11. Really liking the selection of used Switch games compared to Wii U. Actually bought some decent games for significant savings.
  12. Marian shows more skin on the Famicom box art for Double Dragon 2... and the game is more challenging than the NA version.
  13. The CGC ones kinda look like old school blister packs that were impossible to open... like the Tiger Electronics games.
  14. I also think if you have spread and spam fast enough you can kill them before they even have a chance to spawn/create a hitbox. I agree though, pretty cheap part and I've never had a strat to get by this 100% of the time. I typically play this with my brother these days and on these top-down levels we typically just move as one and spam. Works 95% of the time I'd say.
  15. Love this game. A beat em up with a little bit of skill involved without being super passive. Just got the achievement for beating the last boss(es) without taking damage with Mikey. A little sweaty beating Super Shredder but got it done. This game handles really well and super fun to play multiplayer. https://i.imgur.com/cHuSiUh.jpeg
  16. journey - dont stop believin'
  17. Yes. I like when a game rewards you being good at the game. I think you should only get the BEST ending when playing on the hardest difficulty. I also liked the cheat system in Goldeneye, where you must beat the target times to unlock the cheats. It was like a badge of honor back in the day to have all the cheats on your copy of the game. I am not a fan of time wasting endeavors through that are required for 100%. A lot of achievements are that style these days and it's just an unskilled time sink.
  18. It is what it is. You're always going to have things to complain about in a hobby, especially when that hobby was your job for a while. I'm sure Ian saw some negative changes over the years working in his store and now it's just a topic of discussion on their podcast. Is it any different that the majority of people who used to bitch about resellers when the vast majority of collectors have sold or traded games for profit?
  19. And it comes with an art book and stickers! Been a while since getting any meaningful content with a game.
  20. Walked into Walmart and they had a few copies.
  21. I just ordered this game this afternoon from amazon canada (prime) and it said it'd be here by friday.
  22. Very well done! A game worthy of number one, no doubt! I will give a real reply tomorrow.
