  1. Thats a stud, I picked up a spare extra manual the other day too!
  2. If you've waited this long my recommendation would be to wait until after the election and winter time COVID panic has set back in. I see more downside risk than upside risk in the market at the moment personally. Otherwise, I recommend the same advice as arch generally. You want to max out the 401k match which you're already doing. Then put $6k a year into a ROTH, either through Vanguard or Fidelity would be my recommendation. Only after doing that should you even think about playing individual stocks. And in your case it sounds like a blended mutual fund set it and forget it would be better for you.
  3. I think if we're lucky, there may be 1 out there. Thinking there's more than 1 is wishful thinking IMO.
  4. I'm not a big Pokémon guy, but didn't prices double or triple in Pokémon Go phase? I want to say maybe like 60 to 70 CIB then 150 to 200 almost overnight? Maybe 3 years ago? Then cooled off back to 100 to 150 range but never the lows of before. Fast forward to now with CIB grading being a thing, Mint CIBs will always command a significant premium over worn. That looks like a nice copy so it'll get a price bump at auction.
  5. Looks aftermarket cabinet, depends on games and ideally you'd want a gun or a dual screen even. Price seems very high too.
  6. Run a dehumidifier? I have a big one down here. It fills up about every other day in the summer, sometimes daily if we're getting lots of rain. You'd be surprised how much moisture we get down here. But then in the Winter on the other hand, only fills up about once a month if that. Moisture hasn't been a problem for me in a basement at least.
  7. I've been sending in some stuff every couple weeks or so and they've been on time or darn close if counting business days.
  8. Backdooring is absolutely out of control these days. I got backdoored on two big items in the last 2 months, an SNES Fiber Optic and a NES Sealed Mike Tyson Punch Out. I do believe in karma and ethics (as I'd like to think most people do), but the price levels in the hobby have brought out the worst in people. Money is the root of all evil. Having said that, I'm amazed that's the going rate on a controller in that condition. This is definitely my favorite N64 controller though and I made sure to seek out a Mint one many years ago. Congrats.
  9. I expect it to have zero or negligable impact honestly. The unemployed crew aren't propping up the economy.
  10. I started reselling NES consoles and games around May 2008 on the side to help save money for a house. By August 2008 I found myself keeping nice CIBs I came across while moving NES lots and consoles. By November 2008 I joined NintendoAge and the rest was history. I do still have my N64 childhood games but my parents did purge NES and Genesis during my college years. Thanks mom and dad for inspiring me!
  11. I use them on cardboard but not disc stuff. I've always used videogameboxprotectors.com , it is ran by a long standing NA member. The promo code "NintendoAge" still works for 5% off.

Great update I think? Congrats if you knocked out what you needed!
  13. I sold a Starfox Weekend a couple months back and I still have one now. When asked about it I've quoted $2k for months. Not surprising price is catching up. In regards to broader topic at hand, I always sell and buy all along the way so I benefit on both sides. I wouldn't to sell out of everything at once ever. You'll have ebbs and flows all along but if you have something desirable, rare and in nice shape, it'll always perform better than you paid.
  14. This is the one I have on my work bookcase. Got 3 years ago maybe if I had to guess.
  15. I think it was in a Gamepro maybe? @acidjaguar would know.
  16. Ah sweet, thanks for sharing! I have the entire collection at my office and used to get some as a kid from the book fairs. Love Gary Larson.
  17. It graded a 9.0 and pics were posted in the show off your graded games thread.
  18. They're on time these days, but must remember business days not calendar days. So the 30 day tier is more like 6 weeks than 4.
  19. Hey what's up old timer. Got a Kirby 64 counter display if you're looking?
  20. I do think A++ is easier on N64, partly because they are newer and less years of wear and also just from style of the box. They're more prone to box dings though.
  21. I believe Dusty Diamond is @snk2d4ever 's favorite NES game. Havent played it myself but it gets some love!
  22. Remember, when you factor in shipping to and from plus the cost of grading, it's at least about $50-$75 to grade a CIB. Take out $50 to $75 of those prices and it's not nearly as bad.
