  1. Also its not just about the profits and who cares that they don't make money on consoles. They make money on the industry as a whole. Here's the analogy. You just got laid off, you have no income. Oh, but you got $1,000,000 in your bank account and $1,000,000 in video games in the basement. Are you going to panic or be screwed by not having income? Of course not cause your cash flow will be fine for quite the foreseeable future. Same here, Gamestop has at least another 5 to 7 years before I'd be worried about anything.
  2. You guys are overthinking it still. Its as simple as low stocks go lower and high stocks go higher. Nothing more. It should have never been as low as $3. It was severely oversold as everyone piled on. It probably shouldn't be 11 or 12 or whatever it is now either, but hype knows no bounds. Now that the upward momentum is here this will be one to ride for months. Plenty of pull backs will come along but we are no where close to where highs will run.
  3. Yup Gamestop to the moon, haha. Still have close to a thousand shares so I'm happy to finally be positive on them. Was way too early but it was a no brainer it would take off at next generation when they were backwards compatible. Dont overthink the news, really was just as simple as that.
  4. Well turbo has been running closer to 45 days anyway. So they didn't extend the timeline because they've been overrunning 30 days on Turbo for awhile. Small increases are what they are, they'vee been flooded with demand as it is. I expected a bigger jump to be honest.
  5. Its a joke no one wants that junk. When you have to try and convince people to buy your item then its artificial and has no staying power. From the Wata perspective it sucks though. But what are you going to do when pepole are subbing everything under the sun to make a buck? You're going to get stuck authenticating some borderline stuff that isn't in your swim lane.
  6. Don't sell yourself short on the Amazon Fire tablet. I got two HD Kids 10 Editions for each kid. My 6 year old uses a school issued laptop for herself (a bit easier with keyboard) but the Fire tablet still works. All you have to do is sideload Google Play and it's easy enough to do. Then you get access to the full Android apps without any restrictions. You can use Chrome instead of Silk, etc. https://www.androidpolice.com/2020/07/11/install-play-store-amazon-fire-tablet/
  7. First party = Nintendo, 3rd party = black. They don't discriminate on textured vs. flat black as far as I'm aware. Mega Man 6 is one that may have confused people because they associate Mega Man with Capcom but it was published by Nintendo. I don't think there's any other confusing games offhand.
  8. Yeah my thoughts too, Mega Man 6 was a Nintendo branded sleeve. That holder doesn't read right.
  9. Man I must have missed this, I had a Dick Tracy sealed on eBay for a week or two until someone bought it. GL!
  10. I think the entire stock market as a whole is way overvalued at this point and will correct come election time. So I've already pulled out about half of my COVID dips that I bought. I always max out Roth and 401k into stocks (mostly 90/10 or 80/20 regardless), but in terms of my personal side money, I'm still mostly cash at this time. Don't really care about the opportunity costs, just like having a lot of cash in case once in a lifetime type deals present themselves. The high end video game collecting market has vastly outpaced any traditional investment I've ever made.
  11. What a wild roller coaster ride Gamestop (GME) has been too anyone following attention. I first made an entry at $13, cost averaged in mid $10s now and held through lows of $3. People cried they would be bankrupt, that $2.50 was overvalued and to dump em. So many short articles. They bounced around $4 and $6 for awhile, then saw a strong surge up to earnings at $8.50. Earnings were "bad" (underperforming) but not that bad for the pandemic mess, especially on the eve of new consoles. Dropped them to $6.50 the next day and they have been surging ever since. Surging to $9 and shorts are feeling the squeeze. All Gamestop had to do was weather the storm until the next gen, which they've done and have aggressively cut costs all along the way. Here's to the brighter future and I hope the shorts all cover, GME is not going anywhere.
  12. I have seen some crooked games in cases yes.
  13. I assume someone just trying to make a profit too, but it isn't always that way. Sometimes you just send in stuff to see how it will grade and learn the scale. If I were a "rookie investor" in video games and trying to learn the scale, what better way than to send in junk titles (probably bought under $10) and under the select tier ($25 or $35 a game?) and see how it grades. Then just send it to an auction and hope to break even. I'm not saying that's what's happening here (it's probably someone looking for a quick buck off Spongebob), but there could be a rational explanation at least.
  14. I'm excited! I like mindless hack and slash games, add a Zelda skin on it with a bit of tactics and sign me up. First one was solid and I expect nothing less here.
  15. Also preordered as well. Funny how I always own the games physical and never play them, but a re-release will get me spun up!
  16. Remember the limited edition of Mario 25 on Wii got reprinted at least once or twice and the scalpers complained. They'll meet the demand on this.
  17. Goldeneye and Lolo 3 are still showing for exactly the same price as when I made the post. Maybe at midnight their algorithm busted again, wouldn't surprise me. I don't know why you support these guys and then act condescending when the community has had enough of their bullshit? They don't care about collectors they care about money. They made that clear with NA and they've made it clear by removing VGA sales to promote their own Wata interest. They did a Beta for months, and still can't get it right when going live? And these are paid experts?
  18. Yeah but a price site is supposed to give us data based historicals, not some bullshit algorithm that is predicting future theoretical value based on the highest recorded sale. What crooks, and of course, just sweep it under the rug instead of having the balls to call it out.
  19. They aren't even week to week! Why I'm noticing this, I priced out a list last week that I wanted to buy, was around $3500 from a seller. Seller went on vacation and got back today, priced out the list at $4600!!! Now I gotta try to explain this manipulation, ugh. What a joke man.
  20. Yeah I try to give people a benefit of the doubt but no way here. They have modified the algorithm to heavily skew towards the highest sales point in the history of the item. It's a complete and utter joke.
  21. Gotta call this to attention, something I've noticed over the last week. Their Complete in Box prices are bogus on almost anything. Literally, pick any title you want and look at the price for CIB that it is quoting. Then go into the details and all of the recent sales will be much less. Complete manipulating, as if they are trying to implement some new algorithm that blends cart and Sealed prices. Complete example at random. NES Adventures of Lolo 3 CIB, shows as $121.94. Click into the details, last sales were $59, $69.99, $105, $74.99, $100 and the finally a $145. Bogus N64 Goldeneye 007 CIB, shows as $118.82. Click into details, sales were $59.99, $60, $68.24, $20, $75, $65, then finally a $220. Bogus again. They are completely manipulating the market here now. Do not trust this site anymore unfortunately. What a joke and what a shame.
  22. Luigi Mansion 3 release date, 10/31/19. A year ago that game wasn't out, now the refresh of the series has caused people to buy the first.
  23. Just here to test the angry reaction! Nice work all around.
