  1. I've been on managed payment since summer and while I thought I would absolutely hate it, it hasn't been that big of a deal at all. What I did though was set up a new checking account to just take care of it all. I didn't want eBay payments hitting my normal bank account and wanted to keep them separate. You can set it to pay out in a day or two, or do it once a week (what I do). Cash flow thing isn't a big deal at all. Fees... more or less the same. They are slightly cheaper but not enough to notice the difference really.
  2. I'm doing a video game ornament tree in the basement this year and looking if anyone has some laying around they'd like to move. Open to about anything, Zelda, Mario, Sonic, Pokemon, etc. Not looking for Mint in box stuff, loose is fine if in nice shape. Reproductions / handmade stuff is fine as well, as long as it is related to video games. I've bought a handful of stuff off eBay but seeing if anyone could help with a bunch. Only doing a 4.5 foot tree so I don't need a boat load, but definitely could use some. Thanks!
  3. The numbers are going to do what they are going to do. Don't be so focused on placing blame. You can go outside anytime you want, its all in your head if you decide you must stay inside.
  4. If you're at risk, stay home and don't interact with others. Your risk tolerance does should not impact how someone else lives their life. It's one thing if someone wants to walk about in public being brazen without a mask and coughing on people. It's another for someone to live a normal life yet still respect masks and 6 foot distancing. If that person just got back on a plane from China, there's nothing you can do it about it. In your case, I would just assume everyone is infected and treat life as such if you are mortally fearful.
  5. Why are so many other people worried about what others do? Masks in public spaces, I get that. Limiting the amount of times you need to go out in public, I get that. But if someone wants to have a small to medium sized gathering at their house with friends or family, let the them do so. No one needs to be living in fear at this point. This is the new normal, everyone has a different risk tolerance, and you choose your lifestyle that fits your risk tolerance.
  6. GME surging past $15, $15.50 today. Hype knows no bounds of course.
  7. Most of those were reseals though.
  8. Ocarina of Time for me... though probably as a teenage kid. I'm not sure if playing something for the first time as an adult would have quite the same feeling.
  9. Is loose is too easy and sealed is too hard, why not just CIB Mint of your favorites? That's a nice medium.
  10. I haven't even seen a 10.0 component. Don't think it is possible as a manufacturing flaw could still be dinged. Just like every time you open a pack of cards you don't get all PSA 10 cards due to offcenter, corner dings in assembly, etc. I have a 9.8 CIB with all 9.8 internals and that game was as mint as it could possibly be.
  11. Cart grading is by far the hardest part to me. I have a good eye for box and manual but man oh man any single microscopic flaw dings a cart. A cart with a "perfect label", no stains / discoloration, no marker, no rental stickers, etc. was generally "mint" to me. That however is no guarantee of a Wata 9 or higher. You have to look for any type of subtle identations in the label or any types of scratching / scuffing at all. Take the cart and hold it at various angles under the light, you'll likely see at least some superficial scratching... and that knocks it down. If you have something from a CIB that was in a bag and looks barely handled at all, probably think of it as a 9.4ish, plus or minus if you're lucky. However, if you thought this box was nice, then you may be in for a surprise based on how "nice" you thought the cart was. The only real advice here is to start grading yourself and take a bunch of pics of your stuff before you send it in. Then when you get the grade compare to your photos and improve your eye.
  12. Likely an 8 box based on a quick look from my phone. Way too much edge and corner wear for 9. And if its got a crease on the inner opening flap 7.5 at best.
  13. You guys can't look at these sales through the lens of video game collecting anymore. Comic investors piled in and comic games shot up overnight. Pokemon card collectors coming in and Pokemon games went from $500 mint to 5 figures and even much higher went mint in 2 years. Now sports card investors are coming in and sports card games have taken off too. The bidding got to almost $2k in the first days it was up so you knew it was going to get nutty.
  14. Sadly that's all the stock market is. Pile in, post hype articles, increase your target estimates and try to recruit more people to buy into it. Remember, GME was buying back stock in the $6-$8 range themselves to the tunes of several millions. They're doubling their investment there alone.
  15. GME flirting with $14 for anyone paying attention. Intrinsic value and worth doesn't matter, it's all hype and sentiment. And this thing went from getting pummeled to new hype piling in every week. Still has a ways to run with the amount of hype piling in. Add in an earnings beat or a good winter selling season and it'll really get crazy!
  16. Thanks, were you refreshing minute by minute? Haha.
  17. Okay not just me, at least calms my mind then. Thanks!
  18. Worked fine yesterday but haven't been able to print all morning over the past few hours. Tried different browsers, wanted to make sure it wasn't just me?
  19. Hey I'd been watching this on eBay for a few months just to see where it goes. Figured it had to be a veteran collector. I'm not sure your reasons for selling, if you really want the cash or if it would just be nice to have, but at least parting out by system may get you more luck. Sure no one wants to sell game by game but if you did "All NES" or "All Gameboy" or even the Pinballs as a lot, you may have more luck. The pinballs are cool, if I only had more room myself! Played em both at Pinball hall of fame in Vegas, good luck with the sale.
  20. I haven't really been following Coronavirus much, pretty tired of it at this point. But all along I figured the "spring season" would be easy and I was worried about the inevitable second peak coming during the Fall Season. Seems like that's exactly what happening, combined with a Flu season, and people are probably going to be even more of hermits this Winter. Pretty sad... I'm still expecting to trick or treat but I assume there's no shot of seeing Santa this year with the kiddos. At some point people have to accept that there is no return to normal, ever, and that COVID or strains of it are probably going to be around for the rest of our lives. I suspect it'll just be like Flu, recurring every year, we have some vaccine that does maybe 50-60% effectiveness and we just live with it. Any expectations of a vaccine that magically cures it are woefully unrealistic and people will need to determine how much "risk" they are willing to live with.
  21. Some of the candy mentions are good ones. What about these Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cream Soda Pumpkin Pie
  22. I own some FDX when I bought in during the COVID mess expecting shipping to surge, but I can't recommend them at these levels. I'm in 11 shares at $122.17 and they're sitting at $271 now. Wish I bought more of course but I just was dabbling in some $1-$1.5k positions across the board in a variety of stocks. The reason I picked FDX over UPS back then was due to FDX having much lower debt levels while UPS is debt ridden. I have much better "personal experiences" with UPS than FDX (nicer delivery guys, see more UPS trucks than FDX, etc.), but I liked the FDX fundamentals much more. Owning a shipper is a no brainer in COVID, just not sure how much higher they'll run. I also expect significant stock market uncertainty around election time. I personally am not initiating any new longs between now and election time.
  23. Yes the short squeeze is real. It was something absurd that 90% or even closer to 100% of the stock owners were holding short positions. And GME had bought back several millions in shares on their own. When 9 of 10 people owning a stock are only owning it with the sole purpose of selling at a cheaper price then what do you expect when the stock reverses? Short squeeze is real, you don't want to short against a trend. Even when a stock seems way too overvalued like Tesla, you don't go against the trends. Thousands of other opportunities out there.
