  1. You gotta remember grading a CIB is more expensive than Sealed and $50 to $75 at least. Someone is not turning $12 into $170 it's more like $60 or $80 to $150ish after fees. I agree that $170 is still ludicrous for that but it's not like the flipper is making a killing there.
  2. Breaking it up by system may be the easiest. Selling all at once maybe gets a game store to bite at 60 to 70% of value if you're lucky.
  3. There's not a big market for the sealed games. Most of them are collected as toppers or games. I wouldn't pay much of a premium for a sealed one at all.
  4. No, people will lose a lot on them if they bought anywhere near the peaks of the initial hype a couple months ago.
  5. Nice lot. You've already identified the hangtabs which all have a good amount of demand, value varies on condition. The two other major variations you should check are Super Mario Bros 3 (if "Bros" is oriented to the left it is worth more) and Mike Tyson (if bullets are white it is worth more). If anything for sale let us know, I wouldn't mind grabbing some myself.
  6. No, some were plushes, shirts or figures. I have the DK one up on my eBay it is a plush: https://www.ebay.com/itm/174310690492
  7. Damn very nice studs in here! Any game that came with as specific post like Puss or T&C2 too is not easy to find sealed or even CIB with poster these days. I assume those weren't dupes for you but if they were I need to upgrade some
  8. That's not a game variant, those are the Target preorder exclusives. I know @adler_0 and myself both had the set of 5 at one point but I sold most of mine off (Donkey Kong, Zelda OOT, Glover, Kobe Bryant Courtside, Banjo Kazooie). If I had to rank the rarities from most common to rarest: Glover, Zelda OOT, then DK / BK as a tie and Kobe as the rarest. They are very cool to collect and do have solid value but never quite took off like I expected them too.
  9. Hey welcome! I still remember buying a super mint Bomberman 2nd attack box only off you for $20 7 or 8 years ago. You always found cool stuff to sell.
  10. There are 100% fakes out there, I've seen out out of Canada. I owned the original version around release but sold. I was going to rebuy it back when I saw an AP version listed but when I did more research there were many red flags that led me to believe it was a fake. I don't remember offhand but it is naive to think there aren't fakes of it out there. That experience pretty much turned me off from the whole thing and I have no interest in owning one ever again. I'd even go as far as saying that an AP copy should not be trusted until proven otherwise.
  11. Is there even any money to be made from 380 to 420? After 6% in real estate fees it eats away a lot of that. I wouldnt move just for the money. I'd only move if you outgrew the house or wanted to get into a certain community somewhere.
  12. I do, but I don't specifically focus on Madden. I just have always enjoyed the franchise and have picked up nice sealed copies when I can come across them... which is not as easy to find as you think. And that would be me too. On topic, love to see more Madden collectors. I forget the exact username from NA but there was a busdriversomething from NY who had a very nice Madden collection too.
  13. Yeah that is pretty disappointing. At least it is very obviously marked as REPRODUCTION but history has shown us that the HA buying crowd isn't exactly savvy, paying thousands for games that have historically hundreds. You don't spend or sell counterfeit money and those counterfeit games have no business being sold anywhere, let alone graded and sold through a "reputable" auction house.
  14. What's sad about this? If you wanted the games you should have bought them in the past? You either adjust to the new prices or move along. Things have been very hot lately and you either handle the heat or get out of the kitchen.
  15. Yeah when I emailed them this week, they said still working on orders from mid April. I think you may as well add 6 to 8 weeks to that turnaround time.
  16. Ah you're correct its GP not BP. I'll blame that on pre coffee this AM and will update my post next time at a computer.
  17. I'd like to think this is a fairly big one for the list? I've always wanted a Sealed and Mint one, but if you get sealed, beat to hell and water damaged at a CIB price then you may as well document the contents! Only sucks because I thought I would be upgrading the internals of my personal CIB copy but the manual is wavy with a rusted staple. Did need the poster / reg card so those will at least be kept. Bases Loaded 4 Box: NES-BD-USA Cart: NES-BD-USA Manual: NES-BD-USA Poster: Jaleco Poster double sided featuring Jaleco games: JAL-NES-US-7 Jaleco Major Player's Club Membership / Warranty Card: JAL-NES-US-5 Read Before Using your NES: NES-DOC-USA Nintendo Power Advert: GP-NES-US Black Dust Sleeve
  18. I don't really collect modern generations, I only buy the games I want to play. That wouldn't change, so I'll be playing and gaming in an all digital world.

    PS5

How many users are on this board, 1500ish? How many 10s of millions of people buy a AAA new game? Physical games will be dead by next generation and people need to accept this now or later.
  20. My fave game of all time and unstoppable. But I pretty much agree with this. Maybe not a 4 today but closer to 6, just the genre has come too far in terms of controls, AI, options, graphics, etc. Its was and is a great game but nothing I'd want to play other than for a nostalgia kick.

Havent watched it but based on the titles I'm hearing, not that impressed. Assumed it was going to be a day one buy for me but not so sure. We'll see what the launch titles look like I suppose.
  22. Another bump, I believe the list is 16 now!
  23. Interesting trade! My most unusual was with @Braveheart69 many years ago. He traded me all that was leftover of his childhood Cal Ripken collection (binders / screw downs / etc.) for a few sealed NES games, and threw in some Black Box CIBs to "even it out". Don't find too many video game collectors who both collected Cal Ripken specifically in their childhood!
  24. Probably NES Contra. I liked lots of other games but this was one where you could just pickup and play in spurts without grinding like an RPG or Zelda. I remember bringing friends over to try and beat two player, and talking the cheat code at school made you a king on the playground. Just lots of good memories wrapped up in that one.
