  1. It's a shame his stuff gets ripped off and made into bootleg Famicom carts.
  2. Wait this is a real mouse? I thought it was for NES. Weird. Looks cool, but I'm on the ergonomic mouse train after Path of Exile wrecked my hand.
  3. I'm almost always disappointed a least a little by third party controllers. I'd like to say people's standards are too loose for controllers, but maybe I'm just too picky? I'm not familiar with The Ninja Warriors but if you need really precise 4-directional inputs you could try the RetroUSB NES controller. It's very clicky and slightly stiffer than most d-pads. I don't use it all the time, but I'm a big fan for very challenging/precise inputs like Mike Tyson or Adventure Island 8-3.
  4. Sub-Terrania is forever my answer, already posted in the other thread. Can't get enough of it. People also love Adventures of Batman and Robin which is very advanced, I like the cleaner ST tracks better. Streets of Rage 3 is such a mess, some people love it. I think it's a nightmare. Certainly unforgettable though.
  5. Wii U games are the bomb, which is why they were all ported to Switch. Odyssey^2 obviously "lost" to Atari but it's a pretty good console. Nearly every game is exclusive and it has some cool gimmicks like the board games. I'll take Pick Axe Pete over most of the shitty early 8-bit Donkey Kong ports. Lynx has a lot of great games, but has sooo many ports so it's not super interesting to me personally. Kind of my same deal with Colecovision and Atari 7800.
  6. Just in case you also thought you didn't care about the CD-i...
  7. It's Konami Laser Scope guys. For everyone wondering what the 678th game is Also Garry Kitchen's name has two Rs!
  8. Burn the remaining copies. I got mine. I need to put my kids through college.
  9. If not, that is some OCD organization! I need to get some cheap lumber for my Billy's so I can keep games pushed a bit more forward. You can also stack some spare Combat carts behind your games.
  10. Is Convention Quest available at shows or through secret back channels? There were a bunch of copies at PRGE, did @Ferris Bueller have some?
  11. The torch has finally been passed!
  12. The Act 7 timer is definitely the hardest part of the trilogy for me, except maybe the first Jaquio in NG2. Act 7 is super long! I always have to suicide at the checkpoint and I can otherwise beat the game without dying. One day I'll learn how to do it fast.
  13. Welcome! Way to sell and rebuy at probably the historically worst possible times. Haven't we all been there.
  14. Hi. Me, @Johnny, and @Archon 1981 do a weekly/bi-weeklyish show about collecting video games. Often we just talk about collectible aspects of some variants and sets we find interesting, sometimes we cover an aspect of the hobby itself, and sometimes we have interviews with video game people. I'd describe us all as "set collectors" but with different focuses. Johnny goes hard on CIB US sets and is a well of Sega and Nintendo variant knowledge. I collect a mix of loose and CIB sets and care more about unlicensed, homebrew, vintage, and PC stuff than the other guys. Stephan is known to knock out huge chunks of US console sets on one go, but his passion is internal Nintendo artifacts, clothing, and one-of-a-kind gameplay counselor stuff. Let us know if you hate the show or have episode ideas. Cheers. 15. I don't think I ever had that kind of realization directly but the rise in popularity of competitive esports Quake in the early 2000s showed me how utterly worthless I was at FPS. The rise in popularity of speedrunning in the modern era has showed me how worthless I am at every other game. When some guy has a timer on the screen showing he's been playing Batman and only Batman on NES for 500 hours to get a run that isn't even perfect, I know I don't have the dedication to one game to get real good.
  16. Latest game I bought because of that was this. I don't even know what the game is about but that cute kitty
  17. I'm on team Deoxit. Nearly anything will work immediately which is why there are so many methods. You can take 120 grit sandpaper to a cart, rinse it off in in the sink, and it will work. It's more a matter of the least damaging effective method IMO.
  18. There are 4 copies of Magical Chase on Ebay and zero Grooveriders for Gamecube. You Turbo people need to understand TRUE rarity.
  19. VGA has a Stack Up one if you're gonna pay the big bucks. VideoGameBoxProtectors has one for $1.50 and IIRC he's a NintendoAger (NintendoAge might even be a coupon code?)
  20. I meant in relation to Wawa. I love Sheetz. I can get a made to order, hot 6" sub at Sheetz for $2.29. Just to get to a dirty Wawa I'd have to drive 2 miles off the highway because they never buy prime highway real estate those cheap mfers.
