  1. Build your own Ugly Drum Smoker for about $100: https://www.instructables.com/id/Build-Your-Own-Ugly-Drum-Smoker-UDS/
  2. I had this game as a kid (Game Boy version) so last night played a little bit, the unbeatable play I used to do as a kid worked on the NES version as well but most of the time it's only good for 6-8 yards (maybe I need to pick a different receptor), and I had forgotten the quarters are a measly 1:30 mins each, don't know how you guys are racking up so many points in so little time, I was only able to do 10 points in a single quarter
  3. Just wondering if they could have a case here, so a former CEO had it and left it behind, are we sure he was the legitimate owner? Could Sony do something like file a stolen property police report and reclaim it? Or if something has been liquidated, whoever purchased it is now the legitimate legal owner regardless?
  4. I don't know to what extent this has been discussed, but is there any chance Nintendo or Sony sue the owner to reclaim the hardware? I'd be concerned about expending any considerable amount of money on something if there's a chance I'd be taken to court over ownership, or I'll put it in another way, are we sure the seller is without a doubt the legal owner and Nintendo and/or Sony can't claim ownership?
  5. I'd take a good freak show like Die Antwoord over most of what gets played on the radio these days, also I've been told they put on a great show live, sure they're way over the top but that's the point, their videos make me chuckle.
  6. I don't watch much anime anymore but watched a decent amount in the 90s, however not too long ago I watched High Score Girl and it was a nice trip down the memory lane.
  7. That's cool, curious if you'd like them and at least you gave them a listen, some people love this kind of music but it's no classic rock and roll, I'm no rockstar either but I guess I developed a taste for noisy bands and shoegaze in general (My Bloody Valentine is pretty much the shoegaze poster child).
  8. Here you go, these guys are legends, I would agree the name is a bit silly but their stuff is mind-blowing:
  9. I have a feeling this is absolutely bottom of the barrel stuff, the thought of clicking play on any of the videos causes me anxiety.
  10. Cleared the first quest as a kid with some schoolyard advice at some points, I remember a few instances: To beat level 5 boss you must use the recorder. I was told where to get the magic sword. To pass though the lost woods my mother translated to me the advice from the old lady using an English to Spanish dictionary. Access to level 7 you need to play the recorder in the empty fairy pond. To pass level 7 room with the enemy saying grumble grumble you must give him the meat. I'm sure a friend showed me where you can get the blue ring. I figured a lot on my own as I was always bombing suspect locations and burning down trees, particularly the entrances to level 8 and 9, and of course I passed on my discoveries to other kids at school, playing Zelda was kind of a collaborative effort back then
  11. Wow the crystal is crushed, does it still work correctly? I don't know how it works since I haven't played this one but I guess time should keep advancing in-game even if it's turned off.
  12. Sausages should cover just about every undesirable meat, other than that I've eaten all kinds of offal meats including brain, intestines, liver, kidney, tongue, etc, I've also had crickets, frog legs, and I can't remember what else, nothing really stands out as the weirdest.
  13. @scaryice ask for international registered mail or certified mail (don't know exactly what's the difference), I think you can use the cheapest option and add on the registered or certified mail option on top, you'll get a distinct tracking label in the same format used in EMS that works internationally.
  14. In addition to consoles I also collect arcade games, I voted Capcom in both.
  15. Yeah you're replying just fine here in the thread, you can quote too if you wish
  16. My guess is that the bottom one is a bit sun faded, it looks more bluish, especially the monster. I have a couple carts at home so I'll take a look at those when I get back.
  17. Not sure if we're debating this anymore, but Final Fantasy III is the official name in North America at least: https://www.nintendo.com/super-nes-classic/ Personally I have no preference but I tend to call it FF3 and usually when we're taking about SNES games, any confusion is usually sorted out pretty easily.
  18. I've been playing with my daughter and it has been great so far, the game is not action-packed but being able to explore more or less freely on a huge map more than makes up for that in our case, my daughter is able to explore on her own and there's so many things to do, when we play together we typically set our objective from a bunch of different things to do and go for it (go to a new area, do shrines, beat a divine beast, do secondary missions, find memories, etc.), then sometimes I play alone mostly exploring and discovering more things to do which I show to my daughter next time we play, I don't know, the game just keeps pulling us for more because we keep wondering what are we going to find next time.
  19. I love good arcade finds, nice job! Where are you located?
  20. I had a SNES copier called Professor SF so I played the fan translated ROM on it sometime in the mid 2000s, glad I did that version instead of the PSX as I couldn't stand how they translated the pirate girl, anyways I don't remember much about the game, the job system was fun but the game was underwhelming for me, particularly the last battle, I remember going though the final battle and finishing the game feeling a bit dissapointed, I probably need to replay it again so I can reassess my opinion.
  21. My oldest daughter and I are currently playing though BOTW, bought it after we finished Skyward Sword (I promised her I'd get the "new" Zelda game after we finished it), and man BOTW is pretty amazing, I don't regret getting it late, I'm just glad we're playing it at all and only because my daughter got really hooked into Zelda, now it's been more than 20 years since I last purchased any modern video game at retail and most certainly BOTW 2 will be the exception.
