  1. My favorite it's the club silencio scene in Mulholland Dr., I'm hesitant to post the clip because it's the climax of the film and it won't make much sense out of context, instead I'll put some other scenes from films I love.
  2. This recently happened in Mexico, I can't find the original pictures but remember seeing them on Facebook, here's a video a youtuber did talking about the find: Apparently these were found in a famous flea market in Mexico City called Tepito, a seller had a big quantity of these and these are just part of the original lot, which has been said that originally these were impounded by the Mexican customs, they sat there for years and somehow ended up in the hands of the Tepito seller. EDIT: Here's a picture:
  3. Played the Special Edition a few months ago, I liked it but overall I was hoping to enjoy it more, overall not bad at all, virtually my only problem is the occasional cryptic puzzle designed to make you want to call the hint line (or so it seemed to me), but thankfully they provided a hint system to sort of ease the need of the hint line, I had to use it a few times when I ran out of ideas and wanted to move on but of course I didn't get any satisfaction out of those puzzles by doing that.
  4. Thanks, the song is nice but too clean for my taste, I liked how King Gizzard sound is kind of dirty and I like it haha, maybe it's an acquired taste but yeah I tend to like noisy bands. I forgot to mention this band, absolutely love this song:
  5. I've been curious about them for a while, judging from the few songs I listened so far they're very good, thanks for bringing them up @Gloves and @Reed Rothchild, as far as modern psychedelic/space rock bands I basically only knew about/listen to The Cosmic Dead and Darker My Love, and King Gizzard is a welcome addition
  6. You can cancel the sale but selecting "buyer asked to cancel" could get you in trouble, most likely result in negative feedback, and basically any other reason you give will affect your seller rating and it seems that buyer is able to leave feedback anyways. I'd suggest you take the normal path of the non payer claim, buyer might fail to pay and you'd be off the hook, and if he pays I think you can still cancel and refund assuming it will result in negative feeedback and affect your seller rating, so only do it if your item worth more than the burden you'll have to deal with, especially troublesome is the seller rating since you have to keep monthly cancellations below %5 or something like that, if you're a low volume seller this will be very difficult to deal with.
  7. That's really unfortunate for everyone around him, at least his customers can refuse to set foot at his store but his employees are in a very tough spot, not to say his family who he's putting at risk. At least he should see a financial impact of his actions as a fraction of his customers will refuse to do business.
  8. I don't think this will do good with that game selection, any version of the Neo Geo Minis has much better game selection, seems like they were trying to get to 50 titles with the least amount of franchises possible (34/50 in just 5 franchises and 4 of those are fighters), there are good games there but not even a single SHMUP which is borderline insulting, no puzzle games, sport games nobody wants to play (maybe Baseball Stars but that's it), and they're asking $499.99, that's a tough sell.
  9. Seems that what happened is that a lot of "investor" type collectors jumping in right now, perhaps people with a decent amount of extra money and enough interest in video games are fueling all this money into the hobby, and we have more than 10 years of sales data in Price Charting suggesting there's enough stability in the market, so seeing things selling for crazy amounts doesn't surprise me all that much. These collectors are essentially betting they're going to come out ahead when they sell, a lot seems like dumb purchases but this stuff is being bid up so there are other buyers willing to spend just about as much. Will it work out in the end? Who knows, if you know what you're doing and avoiding trash I can see this might work nicely, but the market can crash anytime, then again they're willing to take the risk. Personally I'd take my money elsewhere, maybe if I had more than enough money invested in more traditional options I'd start looking into this kind of hobby investments, but that's my two cents.
  10. I'm going to go with an 9 overall, the albums from the post-punk era are my favorites (Seventeen Seconds, Faith & Pornography), but basically that band is long gone, I enjoyed most of what followed, especially Disintegration, Wish and Bloodflowers, after that I gradually lost interest. Saw them in 2004 and it was great, they played songs from all eras, not sure if they'd still do that but they would typically play for 3+ hours with multiple thematic encores which was pretty epic. I'll list some songs from the post-punk era:
  11. Thank you @fox, @TDIRunner & @Aguy, I should be able to compile a list from here, maybe even expand a little beyond the original 20-30 I had in mind. Yesterday I started talking to a local seller and he has tons of PS3 games and seems motivated to unload them, I basically copy and pasted him your suggestions and he's telling me he should have the majority of these, so time to trade in my spare consoles
  12. Hello everyone, title says it all, semi-recently I got a PS3 and after messing with it for a while I've have been thinking about building a small, 20 to 30 titles collection mainly for playing purposes, and seems to be a good time to pick them up relatively cheap (at least AAA titles). Basically I'm looking for solid titles I might want to play sometime in the future, any genere as long as the game is good, in the end I want to narrow it down to about 30 titles and start actively looking for them.
  13. Haven't noticed your reply, sorry about that! Right now with the pandemic the postal services are under severe strain so I've stopped shipping altogether until things get somewhat back to normal, I'll keep you in mind when I resume shipping activities.
  14. You know, been thinking I haven't replayed it in years so I think it's time for me to begin the adventure once more. I can only hope one day we get to see a remake like FF7.
  15. Chrono Trigger has a very cool special ending that is the cherry on top of an already outstanding game, even the standard endings are pretty awesome. Final Fantasy VI the whole final battle and then the long epic ending, just beautiful. Zelda games have great endings, in A Link to the Past the epilogue is great, Link's Awakening is a bit cliché but satisfying, Ocarina of Time is also stellar. I haven't played & finished all Zelda games so I'm sure I'm missing some others with great endings. I like some simpler NES era endings, Super Mario Bros 3 I can still hear the ending tune in my head and recall the ending sequence, I also recall Mega Man 3, the music and the ending sequence is about as good as it gets on the NES.
  16. I take a look here whenever I want to semi-objectively measure the popularity of an artist, DM comes up at 195 and while there are a lot of long time pop artists before them they are without question the most popular synth-pop band: https://www.songkick.com/leaderboards/popular_artists
  17. You took a good photo of the inner ring and it seems that there are 4 different ones, the one you sold is #2 so compare to the one being sent back to you (it's not clear in the photo the buyer sent to you): http://redump.org/disc/5169/ You could tell the buyer you expect the inner ring to match and that might deter them entirely from sending it back but could result in negative feedback, or wait for the return to compare and initiate a counter claim if the rings don't match.
  18. Games are made to be sold at retail value to as many buyers as possible.
  19. 1943: The Battle of Midway Adventures of Lolo Bionic Commando Contra Double Dragon II: The Revenge Earth Bound prototype Final Fantasy Guardian Legend Hogan's Alley Ikari III - The Rescue Journey to Silius Kirby's Adventure Legend of Zelda Mega Man 3 Ninja Gaiden Operation Wolf Punch-Out!! Q-bert River City Ransom Super Mario Bros. 3 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III Uninvited Vegas Dream (haven't played Vice: Project Doom yet...) Wurm: Journey to the Center of the Earth Xexyz Yo! Noid Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
  20. Some of my favorites that I'd consider 11: Mulholland Dr. Amélie Lost in Translation Pulp Fiction 2001: A Space Odyssey
  21. I hadn't heard or seen this one before but I got to admit it was very nice for what it seems to be basically a karaoke version.
