  2. Wargroove on the switch is absolutely incredible. I recently got this game basically for free with the coins I won from the Tetris maximus 99 cup. I told myself if I ever won, I'd use my coins to try out Wargroove.

Wargroove is a tactical strategy turn based game much like advance wars and fire emblem. It is very similar to advance wars in the style so for anyone who has been waiting for nintendo to make a new advance wars, this technically isn't it but it is pretty darn close. You can buy certain units, capture buildings, get gold, heal, etc. It has some new tactical elements too, especially with healing. You can stand next to a structure to reinforce your unit but it'll cost you gold and deduct the health from the building. And when you capture buildings they get half the health if the unit used to capture it. Additionally, buildings and your main person gain 1 health (out of 10) per turn.

I'm only about 10 levels in, but I was addicted after not even 3 levels. The gameplay is great, characters are great, the difficulty is perfect, and one of my favorite parts is the cutscenes are NOT super drawn out like they are in fire emblem. You can get to the next level within a minute usually.

Strongly recommend this game for those who love advance wars and/or fire emblem. It's only $20 for the digital version too. And there is a physical version as well (for $30-40) which comes with a cool map, stickers and guide book!

For those who have already played it, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

  3. Edit 12/18/2019: Holy crap I actually placed in the top 999 for the Tetris 99 Maximus 10 cup!!!! Just saw the 999 points in my Nintendo rewards account today!!!

The points showed up in my account 1 day after the tournament.

    Any of you place??

The 10th Tetris 99 Maximus cup ended 12/17/2019 at 2am EST. It was team battles this time instead of the usual single player mode.

    Points were awarded as followed for 1st-4th place: 50, 25, 5, 1.

The top 999 players in this tournament will get 999 gold coins for the eShop.

    How'd you all do?

I finished with 2,836 points. Really hoping that was enough but I was reading at least 6 people on Reddit had gotten over 3000, so I'm not super confident I got it.

I was NOT a fan of how they awarded points. They should've given bonus point for the people who survived into the top 25 spots to deter people from just farming points and not actually playing a full match. If you got out in 10 seconds and your team won, you still got 50pts, but those people who carried the team also only got 50pts. I read so many instances where people didn't even play. They'd just let the game go while watching TV and farming their points.

  4. Beating the same game multiple times - definitely Pokemon FireRed or leafgreen. I've easily beaten that game 10+ times.

Now if you're talking about games I can go back and replay tons of times over and over again, call of duty was up there when I played that online in college. Fortnite is also up there, but Yu-Gi-Oh world championship 2011 definitely wins. I've probably done over 200 duels and played it over the course of 6 or 7 years. I can't think of any other game I've ever gone back to as much as that one to pop in and play again for like an hour or so at a time. I haven't restarted it, but I have dueled the same in game people a ton.

  5. I was once mistaken for Michael Cera at Sundance by the paparazzi. It was pretty amusing. My sister and I were looking at a menu outside a restaurant and they showed up and were like "WE LOVE JUNO!!!" and I was like uh I'm not Michael Cera.

In hindsight I should've messed with them and given out autographs lol.

So I guess that counts? Also got to crowd surf once at Vidcon lol and met Philip DeFranco and Tay Zonday (chocolate rain dude) at an after-party.

This is going to turn out to be one of those "Black DIamond Disney VHS" fake hype stories.

I think you're probably right but heck if someone wants to pay me a grand or more for my curly, Erin, spangle, the end, hope, or the others ones I have, they're yours lol. eBay's prices are nuts right now. I'm seeing some listed for 10k

Oh I agree that latte is bad for you, or sugar with coffee, etc. I'd do a quick Google search and link a few articles that show the benefits of coffee, mentioning it's antioxidant properties, etc, but I'm soon off to work.

Black coffee itself though has health benefits for sure, though I will admit it can stain ones teeth.

I saw those articles. I have also seen the debate about whether it's healthy or not and all the effects it has. It is possible to have some healthy properties but also have some downsides (caffeine). Not saying it's one or the other, just saying there's stuff in coffee that isn't "good" for you (caffeine). And most times when people drink coffee it's not just coffee. It's all the additives too so it gets confusing when people say coffee is or isn't healthy. What kind of coffee is that person talking about? The mocabocafrocashoka or the decaf bland nothing extra coffee

What's wrong with coffee? Black coffee and tea are both good for you.

Mostly the caffeine but other stuff too.

And if you're getting coffee at Starbucks with all the extra stuff like the syrup, sugar, whipped cream, etc, then you're consuming a lot of sugar. A lot of their drinks have over 30 grams of sugar. A 12oz can of coke has 39 grams of sugar to give you a reference.

I'm not saying anything is wrong with coffee. I don't care what people consume. But don't tell me soda is bad for you but your vente caramel latte is okay.

Unhealthy for eating chipotle? Meat rice and beans? I’d hate to see what their idea of healthy is lol

my go to is carne asada brown rice and black beans in a bowl with cheese and lettuce I think it’s around 800ish calories and packs a good amount of protein. Definitely after gym food though no way I’m trying to eat that and run lol

I wish I was joking. They said Chipotle was unhealthy because of all the calories, fat, carbs, and lack of vitamins. The dude who said this eats out at McDonald's, Burger King, or Wendy's 2-3 times every week. I think he's just a Chipotle hater lol

  11. Healthy is relative. Portion sizes matter just as much as what you actually eat.

A salad does you no good if you drown it in dressing.

Just because it's diet doesn't mean it's better for you. Diet sodas have chemicals in them that regular doesn't.

I eat whatever I want in moderation.

People are so hypocritical. They'll tell me how unhealthy I am for eating Chipotle, and then I'll see them drink 6 jugs of coffee throughout the day or 3 redbulls.

If you really want to eat healthy, look at sugars, chemicals, alcohol, and fats to start, and minimize those intakes. Then cut back on snacking. Eat smaller quantities. Exercise. And for the love of humanity don't judge people. We all have our guilty pleasures. Why does what I eat effect you?

Thanks, entered in.  1 out of 10,000 chance, but worth a try.

Haha you're welcome! That's about the same odds of finding a shiny Pokemon (which can be done lol. Took my about 10k tries at the game corner of buying abras but I did it and that was my shiny outside of the red gyrados everyone gets). And still way better odds than winning the Powerball.

Ah too bad.. The ending was pretty great.. But eh, to each their own .. I have a ton of games I never finished either

It wasn't a bad game by any means but it was just drawn out too much. Same thing with Mario and Luigi dream team. Good game, just went on forever so I never finished that either.
