Yeah. I haven't bought anything in a while that would get me big ebay bucks but it certainly helped. When I bought my F2, it was when they had a 10% ebay bucks promotion. I then used part of the ebay bucks to buy a copy of Kid Klown when it was $90.

Well thats because I think the Capcom one is more 'exclusive' to Chile / the NTSC area, where as Brazil uses something else and I think Playtronics is exclusive to Brazil.

Not ever company uses the year-week format like that. Sometimes its a single digit for a year, a letter for the month and I think another number for a day. A-Jan, B-Feb, etc. Even that isn't standard though. There was a good website that had a bunch of them to help date chips that use that format.

Something seems a bit fishy here now. They switched from 3 screw to 7 screw in mid 87. So the rarest games that were 5 screw are very late 87. If RC Pro Am counts as a real variant and not a refurb (do all those date codes match?) then that would be the latest with VERY early 88. So that late into 88, I would find that highly suspect personally.

Hmmm, for the first time in over a year I bought a gameboy game. Maybe I should replay all the GB MM games...

Yeah I always considered this an 'oddball' for the above reason. Amazing to find at least another one but I always felt with these things, if they were really 'in production', there would be at least a bunch more than just one or two (IE look at the amount of Jaws/Mega Man/MTPOs)

Thanks for the update. Looks like @Code Monkey called it. The 5 screw Gotchas ive seen should have the date code on the PRG chip as 8748. This one is 8819. The rare 5 screw / 3 screw variants should all be late 87, Theres a small possibility maybe it was a refurb but I would suspect this isn't legit. Sorry! *EDIT* I also just now noticed after posting this, I can see the left side of the label is lifting. Didn't notice it before. Def looks like a label transplant now, just VERY poor.

Thats a very healthy way of collecting IMO. I only had space for a large shelf and that was about it. So to me it was quality vs quantity. Prevented me from buying stuff I really didn't want unless it was a stupid deal or rare.

Well the date could would help significantly. 5 Screw Gotcha is the last 'big game' I would want but I refuse to pay a lot for a game I wouldnt ever play haha.

i would imagine if someone was trying to fake one, they would try to fake one to a collector who would want it in good shape because who else other than a collector would want it? I think there are some more than 'single digits' but a date code always helps. Take a pic of the PCB
