  1. I thought that too haha but I could only think of those 2.
  2. DT as in Dream Theater? They're from Kings Park, NY
  3. I really dont like, like 99% of US metal bands. Id def lean towards Scandinavia. I mean they have Meshuggah and Opeth which are already 2 of my favorite bands.
  4. Giving a tad exposure to some old friends of mine. Even if this song came out in 2004 haha
  5. Thats plausible. My feeling is that it was but they weren't sure how big of a hit it was going to be in the US so there wasn't a lot manufactured at first. The fact that they were pushing Gyromite or Duck Hunt lets me think they thought they needed some gimmick to push Nintendo consoles. After seeing how favorably people responded to SMB they ramped up production. So I think they were available but not in large quantities, compared to those other releases.
  6. I believe my thread proved that SMB was a launch title that day because we found a copy with chips printed early enough to be ready by Oct 18
  7. I just wanted to ask from someone whos never done Box stuff, how common are fake boxes actually? I would suspect MUCH more uncommon than fake carts. And even those fake carts are usually obvious, not to be passed as genuine.
  8. Its really both companies. I also feel the wrestlers are so subservient to the audience that they need to do crazy spots in order to prevent them from looking at their phones. PERSONALLY, I wouldn't call a lot of that stuff wrestling, its really sports entertainment. It bugs me that people say how entertained they were watching the shows or PPVs because thats not what wrestling was. It wasnt a 'show' in that sense to be entertained. The WRESTLING was the entertainment. Vince made it that way and its now just become what we all think it was. If you enjoy that stuff, thats fine, but I just wouldn't call it wrestling, personally.
  9. Funny how different we are, because I thought it was so stupid and contrived. Its like they build matches around gifs they can make and over-reaction / facials for memes. I saw another dive in the mens war games. So stupid and predictable.
  10. Ah I remember that tour! I was at the NYC show. I think it was at Irving Plaza
  11. Thats a great point. Also should be relatively easy to do by downloading the rom, splitting the PRG/CHR and comparing the data between the gold/nstc. Didn't someone once make one of those programs?
  12. This is the Gold famicom PCB. The PRG chip has HVC and has PT-S-0 on it. I suppose the famicom MTPO have NES as they are the same as the US NTSC versions? Also does anyone know what Famicom versions of Black Box games use "NES" chips, instead of HVC?
  13. Oh im sorry they say NES. I thought every famicom chip has HVC on both the PRG and CHR. Maybe the famicom MTPOs are different?
  14. Its Nov of 87 but they're not the same because not only is the main PCB a 60 pin PCB, but also printed on the chip is HVC (for famicom) not NES. When you get it i'd like to see more pics because from those pictures I saw, the label just doesn't look right to me.
  15. Yeah. It looks like it might have been a rental because it had some etching in the side of the plastic. Also it was in a lot of like 20 other games so I didn't think it would have been fake when I bought it.
  16. Security Screws, Orange Dots, No number printed on back label
  17. Ah so I guess that Oct date is right! Maybe I got my info from bootgod, when they estimated first run production as Nov of 87 then. We should compare all the 5 screw MTPOs and see if theres a running theme with the date codes. Ill post mine later
  18. Oh interesting. Mine doesn't have white bullet points but orange, no product ID and security screws, not the flat head screws. The date code was nov of 87. EDIT, I should say that they should also be PRG-0. I believe there is a PRG-1 revision that came later too.
  19. Mine doesnt have a code stamped on the back either, but just the way that the label looks doesn't sit right with me
  20. Its a really gray area with some 5 screws if they were indeed first prints are refurbs. Theres one known 5 screw RC Pro Am... yeah its probably a refurb, but when you're in the middle between rare 5 screw and common 3, its hard to tell. In my research, as limited as that may be, just about EVERY rare 5 screw game has the earliest PRG date code. My 5 screw Mega Man has a date code of I think the last week of 87, and there are others with an earlier date code (I think 48th week). Is mine a refurb or true 5 screw? Who knows. At LEAST MTPO there are more of, AND labels to help. Am I the only one that thinks that back label looks fake? If so, its a good chance that front label is too because it shoudln't have the product ID. Sorry to the OP for buying this, but worth a shot. $500 might be the right price to sell it quick thinking the buyer will get a good deal, and still make a good amount of money on it. I just saw that the one from heritage (ick) went for 1300 last week
  21. I dunno, something isn't lining up. I'd have to see better pics when it comes. I dont know how the back shell can even fit without the plastic on the inside removed. Also I thought all first print MTPOs don't have their code on there, but then theres this: https://comics.ha.com/itm/video-games/mike-tyson-s-punch-out-wata-70-cart-loose-5-screw-cart-mid-production-nes-nintendo-1987-usa/a/7236-97115.s
  22. I dunno the more and more I look at it, the labels look fake. Who was the seller?
  23. I think the gold ones are missing Tyson. It ends at Super Macho Man.
