  1. Well thats because I think the Capcom one is more 'exclusive' to Chile / the NTSC area, where as Brazil uses something else and I think Playtronics is exclusive to Brazil.
  2. Not ever company uses the year-week format like that. Sometimes its a single digit for a year, a letter for the month and I think another number for a day. A-Jan, B-Feb, etc. Even that isn't standard though. There was a good website that had a bunch of them to help date chips that use that format.
  3. Something seems a bit fishy here now. They switched from 3 screw to 7 screw in mid 87. So the rarest games that were 5 screw are very late 87. If RC Pro Am counts as a real variant and not a refurb (do all those date codes match?) then that would be the latest with VERY early 88. So that late into 88, I would find that highly suspect personally.
  4. Hmmm, for the first time in over a year I bought a gameboy game. Maybe I should replay all the GB MM games...
  5. If she actually gets naked i'll have more respect for her haha
  6. We all are agreeing or disagreeing but it just seemed to me he was getting a bit emotional over it.
  7. I think of it like how I feel about Kiss. What bothers me more, Gene Simmons for taking advantage of his fans, or the fans because they're silly enough to buy everything they put out? How about both!
  8. Yeah I always considered this an 'oddball' for the above reason. Amazing to find at least another one but I always felt with these things, if they were really 'in production', there would be at least a bunch more than just one or two (IE look at the amount of Jaws/Mega Man/MTPOs)
  9. Thanks for the update. Looks like @Code Monkey called it. The 5 screw Gotchas ive seen should have the date code on the PRG chip as 8748. This one is 8819. The rare 5 screw / 3 screw variants should all be late 87, Theres a small possibility maybe it was a refurb but I would suspect this isn't legit. Sorry! *EDIT* I also just now noticed after posting this, I can see the left side of the label is lifting. Didn't notice it before. Def looks like a label transplant now, just VERY poor.
  10. Thats a very healthy way of collecting IMO. I only had space for a large shelf and that was about it. So to me it was quality vs quantity. Prevented me from buying stuff I really didn't want unless it was a stupid deal or rare.
  11. WOW Thats incredible. A CIC date of 1992, a Ram chip date of 92, an MMC3 chip from 1994 and the mask rom from 1996!
  12. Well the date could would help significantly. 5 Screw Gotcha is the last 'big game' I would want but I refuse to pay a lot for a game I wouldnt ever play haha.
  13. i would imagine if someone was trying to fake one, they would try to fake one to a collector who would want it in good shape because who else other than a collector would want it? I think there are some more than 'single digits' but a date code always helps. Take a pic of the PCB
  14. I have no prob with porn stars, they do the world a favor. But something irks me for girls oversexualizing themsevles to a section of men who don't always get attention from women, and play into their fantasies for money. See, simp culture. But it exists and people capitalize on it if they're stupid enough to give them their money? I guess? But it still irks me. *EDIT* id also like to add, also done to gain attention. I def remember her getting Pat to sign THE LABEL of an SE. Is it her game and she can do what she wants with it? Sure, but was it done for people to talk about like how I am right now? More than likely.
  15. Hey, lets get some of these boxes, make them CIB, reseal em, send em to WATA and grift the money marks.
  16. But thats only if the release date is accurate. I think Nintendo implied it would be out by Jan 1994 but that always isn't accurate. Knowing what the real release date of the game would help a lot.
  17. The only thing about F2 being a blockbuster 'exclusive' is that the chip dates are considerably older than they should be for their release date. I think the chip dates were VERY late 93, and the 'release date' (if accurate) is like august 94. Could possibly be it was a rental only from Feb till Aug? Really strange but the only thing I can think of why the date codes are so far off. Usually its a month or two between chip production and release.
  18. Ah yeah. Which of course still makes me believe they were made for that area. MM6 was released by Nintendo because Capcom said (For whatever reason) they were not releasing in the US but everywhere else, to with Nintendo replied OH HELL NO, knowing Mega Man is a strong IP. I suppose Capcom thought because of the SNES, they wouldn't sell a lot and wouldnt be cost effective printing copies of it if they werent gonna sell. If it was on Nintendo's dime, they could afford it. So i would guess it was released everywhere else earlier, and the US last. Which is unusual. Im not entirely sure if MM6 was released in Europe though. It was in Japan Nov of 93 but dunno where the March 94 date came from for the US.
  19. You mean the date code? If I remember correctly, the date codes of the G6-USA's should be earlier than the G6-USA-1s
  20. Thats REALLY interesting. I can't say personally they were ever shipped in the US. If that was the case there would be more of them. Not a significant amount, but not like the 4 or 5 that have ever been found. My gut tells me they we're printed for most of South America, since they use NTSC. Playtronics also printed some as well, which is why I asked about the back but I believed they were based out of Brazil which use NTSC-M, or PAL-M. I personally feel the "USA" really just means "NTSC" and not exclusively the US. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTSC#/media/File:PAL-NTSC-SECAM.svg
