  1. I think that Blockbuster theory was busted when numerous people proved they had purchased it elsewhere. That being said, I have no proof of that.
  2. To each his own, I suppose. I haven't had enough problems to make me do otherwise. And I don't ask people for feedback either. If they leave it, that's great and if they don't, I just move on.
  3. I've never heard of Slade's Run Runaway before but that's actually a pretty cool song. They're like AC/DC Jr from Scotland. Still, they had no chance against Come On, Eileen. I greatly prefer Lorde's Royals to Rolling in the Deep, but in terms of overall pop songs, Adele has to get the win there. Go West, Dexy, The Weeknd, and Adele for me.
  4. In general, I agree. But I think the system works best if the seller just leaves feedback quickly. Once the buyer has paid, the buyer has completed his/her part of the transaction and the seller should immediately reward that action with positive feedback.
  5. Yeah, I'm watching closely today. Could be some really good deals during this bloodbath. I really want to get more Square, but earnings report is tonight and the market no longer responds reasonably to good news. Also, watching CCIV crater is hilarious given how ridiculously bloated it was.
  6. The whole market is definitely looking rough today. Glad I got out of all my short holds last week.
  7. I jumped on the dip and added a bit more of everything at 46k. I suspect the big players have 40k as an auto buy, so I don't see it dipping lower than that in the near term (barring announcement of new SEC regulations).
  8. I think you're both right for two reasons: Playstation brand is more valuable than Xbox right now Regarding NA, 3rd party games generally sold worse on PS3, so there are fewer copies available Which is hilarious because almost every multiplatform game runs better on 360, so people would be shelling out more money for the worst version of a game. But them's the breaks.
  9. Did anyone check out the video yet? It's amazing!
  10. So, maybe? I guess if it becomes a recurring problem, you could always just close the software and restart to reset the memory. I'm pretty sure Battle Chasers had a similar problem when I played that back in 2018. Not sure if it's primarily a Switch thing due to the paltry memory or just a QA issue for certain games.
  11. Memory leak? When was the last time you rebooted the game? If you've been playing from suspend for a while, there may be a memory leak that finally broke everything.
  12. Yeah, anyone just getting into Bitcoin right now who is hoping to get rich quick is completely missing the point. Those people won't even be able to see the boat from their perch on the dock. I would love to see the price keep dropping so I can get more for less, but 10% up and down is not even particularly interesting for stocks, much less Bitcoin. But again, I'm looking long long long for Bitcoin.
  13. I will definitely let you know if I can scrounge up the settings. There is also apparently an entire subreddit devoted to Handbrake where people have trialed pretty much every variation in settings possible. I haven't explored it, but I've heard good things.
  14. These are some holdovers from my last large lot that I just got around to unpacking. I decided to spend my free time the last couple weeks doing a little bit of day trading and crypto investing, which was fun and made me money instead of costing me money, but doesn't fill the shelves. I'm definitely looking forward to getting back to my usual habits this week. Also, I'm starting to accumulate quite a few Sega CD doubles, so hit me up if you're looking to get into that system.
  15. It's worth reading up on Bitcoin since much of the logic for its value also applies to other forms of cryptocurrency which are gaining mainstream acceptance. You can find a ton of info on the "official" site: https://bitcoin.org/en/faq. A Bitcoin is actually more similar to gold than it is to a standard currency such as the US dollar. Some important points: Like gold, the supply of Bitcoin is limited so it suffers from scarcity and generally follows supply/demand economics. Like gold, it takes energy/time/effort to mine Bitcoin. The energy is the electricity required by computers/CPUs/GPUs to solve complex algorithms which produce the actual currency. Like gold, no single country or financial institution controls Bitcoin and therefore it is free to be exchanged at whatever rate the market demands. It is a decentralized currency that is only subject to regulation if your government chooses to regulate it. All transactions are recorded in a public ledger and the software is 100% open source. Every single Bitcoin ever created and traded can be tracked through this ledger. This makes it both easier and harder to use for illicit purposes (there are ways to remain anonymous through its use, but they require complex planning). Many businesses (including Tesla) accept Bitcoin as payment, so that alone gives it value. 1.5 Bitcoins = 1 Tesla Model S. It's possible Bitcoin is approaching bubble territory, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have value. Remember, stock markets often have bubbles which burst, but over time they regain that value. If Bitcoin crashes back down, I still expect a steady gain with time. So I will ride out any sort of crash and buy more at the floor.
  16. Considering how many banks and hedge funds have exploratory groups set up for it, 100k seems realistic later this year. It's also possible that when the news cycle turns over, we'll see a lull and drop. I think some of the current hype is holdover from the Gamestop get-rich-quick fiasco. Additionally, it's probably somewhat reactionary to the massive inflation caused by multiple trillion dollar government bailouts. I'm still long though. I don't think the potential for turbulence will stop the rise to 100k in the next five years.
  17. Handheld/console hybrid is definitely a better description. No previous Nintendo portables had a dock like the Switch does, so it certainly deserves to be recognized as something unique. Calling it a pure portable is misleading at best (unless you're talking about the Switch Lite, of course).
  18. Haha. While you're not completely wrong, the 100s of hours I've spent playing on my television say otherwise.
  19. The digital version of the Zelda guide is free today. The author seems overjoyed by the response so far, so go help yourself if you don't have it yet. https://twitter.com/heyphilsummers/status/1363352752907190274?s=09 Direct link: https://gumroad.com/l/BqyRn/35thcelebration
  20. Looks like the same repro expert strikes again, or perhaps the buyer realized he had a fake and changed up the contents. https://www.ebay.com/itm/324493147814
  21. 7/10. A few of the all-time greats sit at the top of the library, but the quality falls off fast. The lack of third party support almost led to the downfall of Nintendo. Thank God their portables carried them to the Wii which kept them in the game long enough to make the Switch.
