  1. The biggest and most important difference is that you can easily start and stop service for the various streamers. No setup fee, no waiting for the tech, no early cancellation, no contracts, etc. That alone makes the current streaming environment heads and shoulders better than the old cable days.
  2. Here's a shot of what I have. I've only watched about half of them, but I'm happy to give feedback on any you're interested in.
  3. Super Mario 3D World is officially out! Make sure to register your copy if you purchased physically. My Nintendo account recognized it in less that 24 hours. Good luck! Wave 2 reward codes will be available Feb. 17, 2021, at 12:00 PM PT. Last time reward codes went up about 30 minutes prior to the official time, so be ready!
  4. Congrats on the win. You 100% nailed it when it comes to the time bonus stages. My biggest reason for low scores is waiting until time nearly expires on those stages. Boring as hell but effective.
  5. 100% agree. But if I've learned anything recently, it's that retail investors are just as capable of pushing value as big institutions. I'll take my profits no matter how they come.
  6. Anybody tracking Bitcoin Cash? It had an all-time high of $2800, but crashed in 2018. It's hovering in the $700 range right now. I think it could run back to $2800 for a few reasons. Crypto is getting a ton of interest right now, particularly Bitcoin It is a Bitcoin fork and has name recognition, while being way cheaper than actual Bitcoin It's one of only four currencies offered on PayPal, making it a accessible to a lot of people Its been going up a lot the last 6 months and the last few days. May be a good choice for those getting started with relatively low downside.
  7. Agree with all of you. I've only got a couple runs left in me. I can only tolerate getting my cranium exploded by the sniper dogs on 7 and 8 so many times. Also the music is boring its way into my soul.
  8. I've had a 4K player since the Xbox One S launched in 2016 and I have a moderate sized 4K collection. If I'm going to buy a movie and there is a 4K version available, I almost always spring for the upgrade. So is it worth it? Is the upgrade even noticeable? For most people, the answer is a definitive no. First of all, if you do not have a high end TV (OLED, QLED, etc), then you will most likely not see the difference. Without the huge improvements in color that perfect blacks allow, it's tough to see the finer details pop. And if you do have one of those high end sets and a good player, 1080p Blu-rays actually still look fantastic. But the biggest problem with 4K is that it's kind of a scam. 35mm film resolution is probably somewhere in the 4-6K range, but almost every film is digitally mastered at 2K. That means most of your 4K discs just have a 2K copy of the movie upscaled to 4K. Some transfers are better than others and I'd highly recommend checking reviews before buying. In a lot of cases you can save money by getting the Blu Ray instead. Well known awesome transfers are Blade Runner 2049, Alien, Jaws, Aquaman, Planet Earth, Blue Planet. Horrible transfers are T2, Fifth Element, Batman Begins, and a few others. Also film grain tends to become even more apparent, so if you don't like it in the Blu-Ray, you won't like it in 4K. Keep us updated!
  9. I guess if I was taking this seriously I would use save states to practice the later levels, but that kind of ruins the spirit of the competition for me.
  10. I remember some distant family member having one of these with a few of the storybooks. It was lame even as a kid.
  11. This game has taught me I could never be a speedrunner. Playing through stages 1-6 over and over again just to get to 7 and beyond is the definition of tedium.
  12. Ugh... By the way, I finally made it to stage 8 and I can definitively say that the sniper dogs in this game are my all-time most hated videogame enemies.
  13. I just had a fantastic run going into Stage 6 and then died four times in a row. I also noticed that the RNG changes once you set a high score, so it's probably worth a reset at that point.
  14. Now that the work week is over, somebody will finish it. I like having the alternate motivation to add some more interesting strategy.
  15. That could be a really good pick. They're down over the last month, but have a big $25 million investment coming on Feb 25th. They also have good analyst recommendations. I doubt they'll end up being the biggest, but could be a good short hold.
  16. Ahh, okay. That makes a lot more sense. Interestingly, they also seem to have reset the redeemable limit. I'm able to re-purchase items I already have.
  17. It's funny that you posted this. I had literally the same thought. It seems like the quick cash Redditors have all exited and we're left with those who actually want to hold GME and AMC long term. Prices have settled out at $50 and $5.50 respectively, which is about double the actual expected valuation of each stock. I decided to take a small stake in AMC at that price since there is some potential upside as the economy opens up with vaccinations. I have a stop loss in at $4.90 and a limit sell at $10. I still think GME is dead in the water and I won't touch it. Novo Nordisk and the weight loss drug I talked about in my last post didn't catch fire like I thought they would. It is up a few percentage points and definitely being traded at a higher volume on the news, but outside of the NY Times, no media outlets are carrying the story. I decided to double down in hopes it goes viral next week. If not, I still plan to hold until they get FDA approval for a new indication (should be relatively fast considering they've already done all the safety trials for use as a diabetes medication). This is one to watch. I sold my initial stake in Cresco for a small profit and then rebought on a dip. The speculative meme marijuana stocks got hammered after their big spikes this week, but Cresco is holding pretty strong and up slightly again today. It could be a money maker over the next year.
  18. I have not seen them. Such a weird choice. I can't imagine there is nostalgia for the Wii U like there is for older consoles. I'm gonna pass... Also, I can't believe how many rewards they are adding. It's kind of losing the novelty. Maybe Nintendo was on to something when they were just drip feeding us stuff. I kind of just stopped looking and am no longer actively gathering coins.
  19. @Jeevan, I'm ready to finally admit that this was a good idea for a contest. NOT because this is a good game. I still think it sucks. But playing for low score makes it WAY more interesting and competitive. So.. good job.
  20. 20K seems reasonable (not to me, but to the market). If you had it switched over to Wata and sold on HA, the sky's the limit.
  21. Easy 10. One of the greatest video games ever created.
  22. You sure talk a lot of trash for someone in fourth place.
  23. If you die at the stage 3 boss, the respawn point is on a ledge. So if you're holding right and not paying attention, you will fall and end up in the dungeon.
