  1. Yeah I grabbed some around there as well. If the price stabilizes, I'll continue to invest about 1k per week until I'm where I want to be. If we get some nice drops to 50k and lower, I'll move money out of stocks and buy bigger chunks. I still see 40k as the absolute bottom, but the stabilization of Bitcoin is very impressive in the wake of the recent tech stock rollercoaster. I moved to Voyager from Coinbase and I'm pretty impressed with the wider variety of alt coins, the ability to place limit buys/sells, and the fact they give amazing APR on held coins. I think their platform has a ton of room to grow, so I'm slowly buying Voyager tokens which should get a nice boost as they add more features. I also grabbed some Cardano since it's actively expanding into Coinbase Pro and Bloomberg terminal. I'm hoping for a big upswing when it gets to regular Coinbase.
  2. Yeah, $20 seems like a more reasonable price for The Pathless based on what I've seen. I really enjoyed CotM (more than RotN, actually), so I'll have to give the sequel a go as well
  3. Nintendo is a good company with stable financials, but they are a one trick pony. They do videogames and they do them well, but the console market is only so big. Best case scenario, you sell 10-15 million consoles per year for around ten years, then you start over and do it again. They've started to branch out with more licensing deals, television, theme parks, mobile, and other alternative revenue streams, but those things still only make up a fraction of their total revenue. The market values growth stocks, so if you're goal is to make a lot of money, Nintendo is not a particularly profitable investment. If you're looking for stability, they do pay a dividend and they will likely be a similar sized company with similar financials ten years from now. They just can't compete with other growth stocks in the tech industry that have a much larger potential for revenue.
  4. I started The Last of Us Remastered (PS4 on PS5) yesterday for the backlog thread. The production values are amazing and the graphics (I can't believe this was a PS3 game), music, and voice work are excellent. The same can't be said for the early story which feels like a cheap knockoff of The Walking Dead crossed with Children of Men. I guess that's pretty good for a videogame, but I was expecting a masterpiece based on the hype. The intro section is fantastic and really sets the tone for the world (reminded me of Telltale's Walking Dead), but the early gameplay is generic as hell. It's like they combined a mediocre stealth game (why does Joel have superhuman hearing powers?) with the clunky combat from a PS2 game. Whoever decided that all doors, ladders, and large objects require teamwork and a cutscene is on my forever shit list (I feel like Epic Games and Gears of War cemented this horrible gameplay concept as standard). I'm not trying to be a total downer, but those are my impressions after the first few hours. I've heard from a ton of people that every aspect of the game gets better as you go, so I'm 100% committed to playing to the end. But the opening few hours of the game are pretty damn weak.
  5. Can't say I know much about variants for this game, but I believe there have been a few console sets that included Minecraft, so there could be an NFR version out there as well. Although it was probably most likely a digital download code.
  6. How were Pathless and Curse of the Moon? I'm definitely interested in both.
  7. Looks beautiful! Still waiting on mine to ship unfortunately.
  8. My buddy was really big into Cardano a few weeks ago, but it crashed pretty hard. If it is gonna be a big thing, it seems to be at a more reasonable price right now.
  9. After a short break playing some Tetris Effect, I decided to start The Last of Us Remastered (PS4 on PS5) as my next backlog game. Holy cow! What an amazing opening 15 minutes. It quickly devolves into more generic third-person dystopian zombie stuff, but I'm still interested in seeing where it goes.
  10. Yeah, I'm gonna hold on buying for now. I'd like to see at least a 10% dip before I resume.
  11. Also, is anyone using Voyager? I transferred my assets out of Coinbase and into Voyager. It pays ridiculous interest on Bitcoin holdings (6.5% this month) without even having to stake your coins.
  12. The same way that I don't care how many shares of a stock I own, I don't have a specific goal in terms of total number of Bitcoin I want to own. Instead, I'd just like to make crypto approximately 5-10% of my portfolio. Right now it's less than 1%, but I plan to get out of a lot of my day trading stocks and move that money into crypto. All my day trading stuff is more of a hobby than an actual investment since I have something like 5 retirement accounts that are more seriously invested into long term gains. But to be clear, I'm not planning to day trade crypto. I am very interested in Bitcoin for the long hold. I want to hold at least until it hits 100k.
  13. This is one I never played. Did you use that special Nights controller? If so, did that make it any better?
  14. It's too much! I've given up at this point.
  15. Can't say I know much about them. How have their earnings and growth been? Oscar Health IPO has treated me very well so far. Bought in a little high, but averaged down to $33 on the dip. Already looking at a very nice profit I could roll into something else. Alternatively, I may be able to hold, but their potential is unclear still. Anyone buying Roblox today? Or in the usual post-IPO dip? $65-70 seems steep. Also, this Tesla bounce is nauseating. I would have been happy to pick up at $500, but $580 seemed step. Apparently I was way off on that one as it's now approaching $700. I guess Cathie Wood really does know her shit.
  16. It's actually following or maybe even predicting the market now. It's moved into a very interesting spot.
  17. I bought in a couple thousand dollars at 47k. I would have loved to have bought more, but most of my investing money is tied up in stocks right now. I still plan to buy a bunch more even if I'm just dollar averaging. If it ever crashes below 40k, I'll double my investment.
  18. All were pretty easy for me except number four. I feel like you put two number one seeds against each other there. The 80s were just overloaded with awesome pop. Macarena, Lit, Tarzan Boy, and Simple Minds.
  19. Paper Mario complete! At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'll just say that people should definitely give it a shot. If you like the battle system, you're in for an absolute treat. If, like me, you don't enjoy the battle system, there is still a lot to love. So what should I play next? The world is my oyster, but I'm thinking The Last of Us Remastered (PS4)
  20. Very cool! I'd love to have all PS1 RPGs at some point! Just a reminder, if you use the @ symbol and start typing a username, you will be given a drop down list. If you choose a name from that list, the user you tagged will get a notification. Quoting or multi-quoting users will also notify them so they can see your response. For example, @Gloves will now see this notification and quickly realize I have no meaningful message for him.
  21. I never played much outside of Halo multiplayer, but the software lineup is surprisingly strong and many third party games play best on the system. Big points for introducing hard drives and online play as standard features. It did exactly what it was supposed to do and gave Microsoft a seat at the console table. Based on my limited experience, I'd say 6/10.
  22. I've always wanted to try Rocksmith out. I already play guitar pretty well, but I figured it would be a fun way to learn some songs and familiarize myself with some chords I don't use regularly. Glad you're enjoying it.
