  1. I think those are classed as "no box" by most. The Action Set console and the Power Pad work with other games, so the game included is basically a bonus. You could make the case for Miracle Piano should be included as an oversized boxed game, since the piano is basically like the Arkanoid controller (just a lot bigger.) In both cases the accessory works only with the game included. But the piano does work independently of the game, so maybe not. Racermate is a tougher nut to crack. Also, did Super Spike V's/Nintendo World Cup have a separate box?
  2. We're not sure what is going to happen. GoCollect is going to revamp the other forum, but what that will entail, nobody knows. There's a lot of rumors going around and you probably got one of them.
  3. They are still available for purchase. Unknown if another run will be made once the current stock is exhausted.
  4. I have a few older games. Fallout, System Shock, stuff like that.
  5. Damn, congrats. Must be a relief, though your wallet is probably pissed off. Any insight on who owned it? Former Konami dude? Random collector?
  6. I know after Metal Slader Glory nearly bankrupted HAL, Nintendo stepped in to publish most of their stuff, but that was long after the Lolo series.
  7. I really wish I bought the Super Mario Bros 3 cart I found that had "FUCK YOU, ALEX" written across the label in sharpie.
  8. BTW, did they mess up on Adventures of Lolo? It sure looks like HAL Labs published it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adventures_of_Lolo
  9. Yeah, Capcom was like "we're kind of done with NES Mega Mans, we'd like to move on to SNES" and Nintendo was like, "Yo, dog, Mega Man will never die on NES! We'll publish it!" I did manage to get all the Black Box games, but I have a system to remember them. I'm shocked some of you got stuff like Super Team Games. I totally forgot that even existed. Must be a lot of Power Pad users here. Still kicking myself for Final Fantasy, DW and the Yoshis.
  10. I got 63. I missed some really, really obvious ones like Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, and both Yoshi games. I just blanked on them. Concentrating on too many obscure titles. I totally missed that Nintendo published the first Lolo game.
  11. Yeah, I wish he made it into an actual game. Even a short Blade Buster style game would have been awesome. I understand that he was just experimenting, it's all good, but that would have been legendary if it was realized.
  12. We have a feral population (managed colony) outside where I work. It's nice to see them there.
  13. Playing The Guardian Legend, which is half adventure, half shooter, got me thinking about other games that mix genres up. What games do you find balance their multiple gameplay elements well, and what games kind of fall short in that regard, despite best intentions?
  14. My department's name doesn't use the Oxford comma, and I got an angry letter onetime from some pedant rando who equated me with ThanosHitler.
  15. There are two types of people. One space users, and those who eat kittens.
  16. Depends on the platform, but for longer games (usually PC games), I'll play until I stop enjoying it. I'm choosy about games, so I usually pick well. NES games and those ilk I'll give it a go until I start to get tired of it (usually after losing my last life), but then give it another go a day or two later. I tend to not use continues, so I'll play until game over.
  17. Glad to see you make it over. I was wondering who you were when I looked at the mod list.
