  1. Hi there, video gamers! I'm Chester from the Knights of Bytes, and we would like to present you some teaser pictures and videos of Sam's Journey, our very first game for the NES. It's about a cute little hero called Sam who finds himself on an unexpected journey in a strange world. Sam's Journey (NES) · Title Picture Sam may look cute, but he is fast and swift! And with the proper suit, he can change his appearance completely and be a fierce pirate with a mighty cutlass! You can see this in our first teaser video! Just click to play: Sam's Journey (NES) · Sneak Peek #1 · "Here We Go, Sam!" You've already seen Sam become a pirate with a mighty cutlass, but in the hot desert with its ancient temple ruins, a special climbing ability comes in much more handy. Enjoy our second teaser, featuring Ninja Sam and an Egyptian-style soundtrack! Just click to play: Sam's Journey (NES) · Sneak Peek #2 · "Sam's Desert Dream" We're going to post more updates as the development progresses. So if you're curious to see more of Sam, stay tuned! 2. Hi! I hope it's ok to post about this here. For the past year or so I've worked together with my brother and our friend on our first indie game project, called DunDun VR. We've been learning VR gamedev at the same time. We just released the game a couple of hours ago and if anyone wants to check out DunDun VR, you can get it on Steam for free: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1695870/DunDun_VR/ Our main target audience are people new to VR, but hopefully it's fun for more experienced players as well. If you try it out and have time to leave an honest review, that'd be much appreciated! Thanks and I hope you enjoy DunDun VR!
  3. So. Let's play a game! 1. Think of a game 2. Read the title and pretend you're talking to someone and connect the title to something just crazy off base. I'll start! Example 1! Golden sun on the Gameboy advance? Yeah I've played that a few times, so the sun from Mario 3 is who you play as and you can either stick to your angry ways and speed up global warming, or make choices that eventually stop it so you don't burn so hard giving the polar ice caps a chance to freeze back up. Example 2! Conkers bad fur day? It's based off a very pretty girl named lilly who just can't catch a break and her hair keeps getting messed up, game mechanics include wind, a cameo from the yellow angry bird from angry birds who unfortunately flew over lilly while nature was calling and a missing hairbrush and the shortage of being able to buy another one due to a ship or something blocking a major Port channel that has made hairbrushes near impossible to find. Basically, The synopsis is to help Lily Conker fix her hair from various things that keep unfortunately happening so that she looks good for her senior pictures done that same day (being the last day they can be submitted before you get your stock photo from your yearbook) . There are 17 endings depending on the choices you make. Example 3! Mario 64 is a little different then what you are used to playing. Essentially, Mario gained enough coins to retire early at the age of 64 instead of 65. Your job is to keep Mario from having his super bar going down to 0, resulting in Mario not bothering to play tennis, drive go karts, or host any friendly parties with his friends and sometimes enemies. Basically make Mario not regret retiring and to feel "Super" about his choice to finally hang up that hat and overalls of his. Now, someone outdo me and win the thread. Most likes or reactions in a week will win for that week and i will keep track of each weeks winner in and forever memorialize your crazy, absurd, and possibly satist win by being in the first post. Do your best and keep it clean, ridiculous, but clean. July 9th- July 16th 2021 winner:
  4. I remember playing my gameboy almost every day when i was younger (back in the early 2000's). One game that I remember really enjoying was a racing game (I'm fairly certain it was a futuristic one, like wipeout) where, when you crashed your vehicle, sad, violin music would begin to play, and you'd be forced to restart. If anyone knows what game I'm refering to, please let me know what it's called. I've done the best I can to find it myself, but, as you might've guessed, have failed. All help is appreciated; thanks in advance.

  6. Always been a fan of Dragon Ball (though I have yet to finish watching Super) but I have not played much of the games aside a few fighters here and there, never played any of the xenoverse titles so figured this one was a good chance to try a non fighter out, so far its not been all that bad aside the flying around (not really liking all the damn orb collecting bits but I have noticed in doing such you sorta get a lay of the land in a way) but I have slowly gotten accustomed to, some of the battles with minor enemies gets a bit dull but also once you get a bit stronger you can pretty much just mow their asses over and collect orbs and exp, boss battles get pretty fun and messing with the "ultimate evils". The story does a fair job I suppose, but I have watched Z saga countless times over the years and personally to me it seems rushed in the game but I think in a way its supposed to be. All in all not quite sure if it was really worth the $60+ price tag but I have sunk in a good 20hrs in it so far and just now ended the Saiyan arc (which I did dick around a lot doing side quests and mucking about) but I haven't gotten bored with it yet so I suppose that is a good thing. Anyone else playing this, have some thoughts on it?
  7. Found this quiz online. Without cheating or practicing, from the top of your head right now, can you list all these games? You have 15 minutes. I got 58/73. I've been out of the NES game a little too long. https://www.sporcle.com/games/bowserjrdood/every-game-on-the-nes-published-by-nintendo?t=nes
  8. It can be for a game that never got a sequel, or the sequel wasn't localized, or it could be for a game where there has been an announcement that there will be a sequel, but not many details besides that. Really anything sequel related lol. My most wanted sequel that they haven't announced is advance wars. Last one we got was days of ruin and that was 11 years ago. It's been awhile. My other high want is a pocket card jockey sequel. Loved that 3DS eShop exclusive. Dragon quest monsters joker needs another entry, as does rocket slime, shovel knight, drone tactics, Pikmin, star fox, boktai, mega man battle network, cave story, ivy the kiwi, and witch and hero.
