If I was a parent I certainly wouldn't hesitate to let my kids play NES/SNES games. Build up that hand eye and reflex skill. Modern games not so much, more because the online communities are pretty toxic and offer nothing to a kid.

Just finished Links Awakening on Switch. Not bad, it should have been priced at a 3DS game price though.

I've become way more picky, rather than full sets or games for every single system, I just stick to collecting as I go. Grabbing the big AAA games as they come out, and grabbing other stuff i'm interested in once they drop in price. Ideally i'd love to have only a shelf or two packed with the best of the best. I do prioritize some franchises too, i'll always buy every Dragon Quest and Zelda game that I can, for example, almost collections within a collection. There's just too many damn games coming out lately to be able to play them all, so I gotta have a bit of patience and control over my wallet.

I enjoyed Diablo 3, but it felt more like an arcade game where you wanted to beat stages as quickly as possible, there wasn't much atmosphere or any sense of caution. Sounds like they're trying to fix that for 4, so i'm excited.
