  1. I've only sold things off when I needed the money to further my career. I figured, when I went to buy the games back, I could afford the mark up and I was right. There are only a few games I wouldn't consider rebuying like Resident Evil on Sega Saturn. I'm still working on getting some of the CIB N64 games back but I'm winding down there too. I'm more frustrated that I DIDN'T buy games than that I sold the games I had. I should've bought games like Bucky Metal Storm when decent copies would pop up for $40. Now they're just too over priced for what they're are for me to justify buying them over some childhood classics I've yet to pick up.
  2. I bought exactly 20 have off eBay. I'm sure I picked a couple up from yard sales to keep and my friend gave me a couple games he gone that I wanted as well so I would say it came to around 30-40 new additions to the collection.
  3. Why FF Legend II and not the first one or the third one? I've never played any of them so I'm wondering if I should skip right to 2.
  4. That game shelf looks awfully loaded with content. Great stuff there! Is that TV stand built into the tv?
  5. If you can download games and put together an Ikea bookshelf, you can instead custom firmware on a 3ds. With that said, you can buy a 3ds with custom firmware on it on that for $100-150. I sold a few for around $175 with 60+ 3ds games on it.
  6. There is no reason to have an external mod for a 3ds considering you can use the guide to install custom firmware in under and hour and then install the .cia files onto the SD card of your 3ds directly through the CFW By my count, the playable 3ds library is about 200 games and comes in under 300 gb of data so you can have em on one as card if you wanted. I'll add that installing CFW has no risk to you the consumer if you follow the guide. Consoles are never bricked by Nintendo for any reason no matter what game you play.
  7. Not me but I was cleaning out my best friends basement about 4 years ago and we can across his old childhood games. The man had Bucky O'Hare with the manual and a CIB Mario RPG. We fired Bucky up and he was clearing levels like a madman.
  8. Metroid prime 4 is not looking good considering they scrapped the entire project a year or so ago. I think we'll see an announcement of a Switch pro along side of BOTW 2 like we did with Majora's mask and the expansion pak.
  9. If you don't use a smart phone, then the 2010s were just like the 2000s. But if you were on a device, the tech changed your life. I know for me the second I got my true smart phone in 2009-2010, the whole internet opened up and the avenue to entertainment was so accessable. I stopped participating in social media (fb and the like) in 2013 and went to alternative anonymous message boards like NA all on my phone. Then snap chat came out and suddenly I was sending pictures with every message. When I met new people, I would FaceTime exclusively instead of phone conversations. Messages and notifications and seen and answered from my watch. Just the whole world has been shapes by tech. The 2000s had basically none of that and the 2010s was the decade of the tech. Maybe called it the tech-ade...
  10. It's more popular for it's double backlit screen and the rechargable battery than for it's form factor. But with the new screen mods, it has really started to take a hit in price considering for the same money you can have a beautiful GBA w a better form factor and perfect screen.
  11. Here's a review and install of the lastest display from a popular YouTuber. It blows the back lit / bivert mod out the water. And it's $50 for the screen, just a little more solder work. Skip to 6:10 for gameplay footage. Highly suggest anyone looking to play the DMG to check out this mod. Truly incredible. Here's a link to the screen from a US seller. https://www.retromodding.com/collections/featured-items/products/game-boy-backlit-tft-lcd?ref=97rnxwqscwf
  12. My buddy worked at a thrift store and they got to buy everything for the standard rate before it hit the floor. Granted, they never got a ton of video games in and when they did they were just OK lots, nothing rare or value. He ended up just getting a nice little collection for himself after about 6 months of working there.
  13. I'm gna vaporize some CBD hemp flower and watch star wars on the projector.
  14. I have every cell phone I've ever owned as well...
  15. People forget how great the game really was especially at release. I still enjoy it more today beside Odyssey.
  16. Perhaps studying the theology makes you only see a certain side of the holiday that is obvious to the rest of us. Like a tree, the presents under it, the far man coming down a chimney, etc. The list really goes on. Jesus' birth isn't celebrated by Santa Clause coming to town.
