  1. I live in a very blue collar area which might have a lot to do with the clientele. They're basically cyotes that scavenge local sellers and try to get one over on everyone. Every time I put posts on what I'm buying, say Gameboy or 3ds games, I'll exclusively get messages about how they want to sell their shovelware for eBay prices. No one in any local group is a collector outside of the trash piles of wares they consider to be gold.
  2. Locally is a hassle. Everyone who wants to buy my shit at least a tire kicker. They wana meet half way and then haggle a new price on the spot. Every item I've sold IRL has been a massive time sink. It doesn't help that most buyers are people who seem to live in the sewers and only come up to make face to face purchases and eat dollar cheese burgers from McDonald's.
  3. How did the Wii U get b chosen to be the perfect emulator? Of all consoles..
  4. Modding a GBA and GBC is really easy. They're plug and play now as long as you buy a shell with it. Otherwise it's just a small piece of plastic you need to chip away. DMG and Pockets require some soldering. I have a $10 soldering iron from radio shack and it did the job for my first DMG. It was literally 2 points for the screen and 4 or 5 for the bivert. I prefer handhelds to consoles tho. It feels like a more intimate way to play a game.
  5. I'm really hoping BOTW 2 gets released holiday season 2020.
  6. What about the Homebrew game to follow? That was epic as well
  7. Woohoo! Just spitballing here but perhaps we could make a thread and each person who sends it reveals who will get it next and what is going to be in there with a pic. And the next person takes a pic of what they took and what they replaced. Just a thought. That way it adds a level of accountability and a way for people to follow along as the thread gets bumped.
  8. I play regularly online. It has a lot of the same mechanics as the original game. Things that changed and updated are There are now stadium cards that effect gameplay. Stadiums are removed by the opposing player laying down another stadium or by using a move a Pokemon has that gets rid of stadium cards in play. Trainers have 2 classes. Supporters can be used one per turn, items can be used as many per turn as desired. Every generations has a Big Card. This generations Big Card was GX, last Gen was EX. When a Big Card is knocked out, the player takes more than 1 prize card, it will tell you on the card how many to take. Every generation has a gimmick. This generation is GX attacks. Last gen was mega evolutions. GX attacks can be used once per game by one Pokemon only. When you do a GX attacks you flip a little thing so you both remember you used your attack already. Next generation (Sw & Sh) will have VMAX as the gimmick. Stay tuned. Tool cards are items you can attach to a Pokemon to give it extra juice. Like added HP, lower retreat cost, etc. I think those are the major changes from the original game. It's very straight forward. I would suggest going online on your PC or table and downloading the TCGO app to have it walk you through some tutorials.
  9. I prefer a new controller. I'm not much for putting a ton of wear on a controller so when I buy new they tend to stay in good shape for a v long time.
  10. Shout out to @0xDEAFC0DE for knocking it out of the park! I love the Sfc LTTP box art and can't wait to play through Metroid 2 which I've still never done. It was a great feeling to get such a great trio of games. I might even try to run through mega man before Christmas day is over Thank you for kicking off this Christmas with a bang!
  11. Man I have so many gaming Christmas memories but maybe the most epic was my first own console that was not for the whole family, just for me. It was getting the Nintendo 64. I got Shadow's of the empire and Mario 64. I played Shadows for so long, I didn't even get to Mario 64 Christmas day!
  12. Saw it again tonight. I looked it even more the 2nd time. Great acting. It was a shame Carry Fisher died through the shoot and we missed to see her character get played property.
  13. Nah Reddit is a cesspool of little kids pretending to be adults. It's really bad. I literally saw a comment about how the Chinese ppl aren't to blame for horrible things the government is doing. That's literally saying Nazi's weren't to blame for the hulacust. Seriously, mental gymnastics like that happen every day by children trying to sound grown. I hear them every day say stupid shit to make them seem insightful and different. Which is Reddit in a nutshell. A place where teens can say cool, edgy shit and get upvoted by ppl who fall for their facade. /end Reddit rant.
  14. With how fast rechargable AA batteries charge these days, I stick with a couple of sets of those to hold you over until you're ready a USB mod. 4 AA last me between 7-12 hours of play. Sometimes more depending on brightness settings. Gameboy color lasts 12+ on 2 AAs and they recharge in a hour or so.
  15. To the people complaining about the screen, just mod the damn systems. GBC IPS screens are plug and play now, no solder required if you don't mind fixed brightness settings. IPS screens for the GBA and plug and play as well and they're both under $50 shipped. Idk why anyone would complain about the screen and not spend the couple $$ to change em. Even DMG backlit mods are basically easier than the simplest *my first soldering* kit.
  16. I'm one of those people. If I'm going to play sf alpha 1,2 or gold it's going to be on the Sega Saturn.
  17. I think when he references that he did what he had to do oh that planet the female told him to talk about that you see he's only interested in killing when necessary. Also, he definitely enjoys killing droids while he is apprehensive about killing people. Even when he killed the storm troopers, he had to really commit to it and have a driving force which was saving an innocent child that *saved his life*. I didn't like rebels nearly as much either but I enjoyed the starting and endy arc of each season.
  18. Baby steps guys! Cut back from 12 slices a day to 6 You're right tho. I literally skip a meal and haven't gained a lb for 3 years and I eat w.e I want to a degree. Just not as much of it or as often. It's simple calories in math.
  19. People commenting on the lack of direction, have you watched clone wars or rebels? It's basically the same idea for the season just half as many episodes. The first couple start with 2-3 episode arcs, then 1 off episodes that introduce reoccurring characters into the series and then end on a 2-3 episode arc. Rebels and clone wars and rebels had the luxury of 20-25 episode seasons so they could have more short arcs built in surrounding interesting plot lines but overall the mandolorian has the same arc it started with. The past few episodes introduced potential reoccurring characters like the crew he locked up, the lady bounty Hunter from the swam world and showed the depth of how fucked his is since he kept baby Yoda. We're primed for a 2-3 episode arc to finish the season. Also, he didn't kill the new republic pilot bc he knew he would squeeze the beacon if he was shot or stabbed or w.e. He accurately read that guy and saw that he would need to convince him to put the beacon down before killing him. The beacon was essentially a bigger gun than any of them had and he knew he'd have to out wit the pilot to survive. He ended up out witting everyone to survive.
  20. PS3 is a hard pass for me. The dpad is all but useless and I need the joy sticks to be offset. SNES is in my top 3 along with the Xbox 1 controller and the Sega Saturn controller. But og Xbox is up there. I thought using the black and white buttons for item toggles worked well. I love the Duke too. It's a master piece!
  21. Worst controller ever??? It's in my top 5. Maybe top 3!
