I have a handful of those I bought to convert. Just haven't had motivation to do so. I also have 100+ other various donors idk what to do with They're still not cheap but they've fallen off from when the patch was first announced

The noac could be redesigned to fix the various issues but Chinese pirates aren't selling on quality. They're all using the same 20 year old design because it's available and good enough.

I'm taking another crack at GameStop's retro stuff since some items still have very favorable prices, assuming they are real. First order was "delivered" but I never saw it. Unlikely it was stolen, I'm just assuming ups screwed it up. Refund pending. Second order has not moved out of "processing" after 10+ days. It's currently available to buy on the site, like I could go order it again. This is still retro, and a rare item at that so they shouldn't have a bunch. Going to have to call back and prod them tonight. The interesting thing about the second one is it's not listed on the site. Like it doesn't show in the console category and you can't search it. But if you have the direct url to the product page you can go there and order it if it's available. There are a ton of high dollar games like that, and a bunch or dirt cheap commons too for whatever reason. I just assume they have no idea what they're doing.

I don't remember who specifically was doing it but there was a trend of someone grabbing a topic from Reddit and starting a thread on NA over it. It very quickly became redundant for anyone looking at Reddit with any frequency.

Man I never said anything on NA because the crowd had anointed him Lord and savior but I read him as a troll. Apparently if you were tight with him he was cool but his "stadium events coming soon" bullshit and some other things I don't remember came across as someone trying to get a rise out of people for their own amusement. Plus his 1998 era personal website railing against some local government entity did not paint a picture of a reasonable person. If he wasn't sitting on a motherlode of sealed games he would've been swept aside much sooner.

Fallout 4 in vault 81 when you get to the hidden vault portion I got stuck under some stairs and couldn't get back out because of the terrible collision detection system. My only real attempt at playing earthbound, I was several hours in and got attacked by some bees or something that would endlessly put me to sleep and then do like 1hp damage. I turned the game off and never went back.

I know I've played my buddy's everdrive on my avs. I don't recall anything that didn't work. GenerallyI would be aware that the avs or everdrive may have compatibly issues individually but at this point putting them together shouldn't be a concern.

HD TV's have to do some processing to put the old nes composite video in a modern screen. Good TV's will do it faster, and game mode helps, but it's still more than what a native HDMI signal takes. Your nes classic is laggy likely due to the limitations of using software emulation to reproduce NES hardware. Avs and nt mini are direct hardware implementations, so they don't have those limitations. Avs and nt mini are comparable products, with nt mini having more features. You can't buy those new anymore though. Im very happy with my avs but it does have some compatibly issues. An original nes with the HDMI mod is probably the best case scenario at the moment.

I mean I get it, this is what I do too. But at the point I reached out to him it's was very obvious he was doing the bare minimum to keep things running. He didn't owe me anything but it would've been in both our interests to let me fix things if he wasn't going to.

I use this all the time, it's great. I'm pretty sure postage is cheaper this way too vs in person.

I'm still mad about it and I'm gonna be a for a while. NA was my internet home for 10+ years. To have someone swoop in and absolutely destroy it in a matter of months is extremely frustrating, especially when they could have done the bare minimum to keep it going and just refused to. Fuck them.

It's possible but rare. I think I've opened one cart that might have been a leaky battery and it might have been exposed to liquid, idk. Everything else was fine enough and a new battery would been minimal work.

i'd suggest starting with comp sci. i would expect it to be useful in more situations. cyber security sounds narrow. maybe look into that as a minor. comp sci is a foundational thing. you'll end up writing programs as part of your learning process, but software development is its own skillset. if you pursue a software job, comp sci will give you context for what you do like "which sorting algorithm is appropriate in this situation".

The Tetris Effect thing is glaringly dumb. That game is still widely available new. I want to like them for the idea of producing physical copies that aren't otherwise available. The star wars stuff was a stretch but whatever. I'm still bitter about the night trap shitshow. Doing a "limited run" of something that is currently available is laughable.

i don't know of anything that short. if you want want to do any cutting maybe look into a 3d printed replacement connector surround?
