  1. I meant I have a second Gameboy and that one has a dark area that rolls up the screen. I had heard that was caused by a capacitor that was going bad. Since I have two original Gameboys, I was thinking about having one backlight modded.
  2. Anyone recommend a good modder service to get my spare Gameboy recapped and LCD modded? It needs to be recapped because I can see waves in the lcd rolling up the screen and sometimes it won't power up on the first try. Since I need it shopped anyway I thought it would be nice to get my spare backlight modded too. So anyone have any recommendations and ideas on prices I can expect? Thanks in advance everybody.
  3. I just finished Sonic Spinball for Genesis. I hate myself for it, but when I do a review for my channel I make myself finish the game if possible. I swear there is an invisible rubber band in that game that keeps the ball from going where I want. It feels more like evil paddle ball than pinball. :*( Other than that, just playing through SEGA CD Lunar again.
  4. So is the scoreboard feature just dead in the water now? Has anyone heard anything about that?
  5. No, all I have is my Chu Chu Rocket counter top standee. I used to have a number of Dreamcast oversized box displays for different games like Skies of Arcadia and Shenmue, but the water leak in my old place toasted them. There wasn't literature for those things as I recall. The reps would just show up with them to the store and offer it to us.
  6. That is basically how it works. Its more useful in the early going. Once you're at floor 10 it stops being a big deal. I'll play through it again without doing that probably this weekend. I was practicing Sonic Spinball; don't know if I'll ever get that in one go.
  7. Hope you guys like my latest videos. Let me know what you all think. Hope everyone is having a great week!
  8. Let me know what you guys think. What are the best ones I missed? My criteria was to keep each game under 10 bucks loose.
  9. I've had this for years since I last worked retail. Just a cool bit of swag that I finally got around to scanning into a pdf. I hope everyone is having a great weekend! This is from SEGA's 32X/Saturn era with some retailer newsletters at the end that I though was kind of a cool snapshot of where SEGA was at in the early 90's. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ccF8eErMnpPV555pYBE23o1FBfI8g1tX/view?usp=sharing
  10. I'm contacting Retromags to see if they want to upload it on their database. I may try to delete some of the less consequential pages to get it under 14 megs so I can just upload it. Otherwise I'll just share out of my Google docs. On a side note... Finally beat Sonic Spinball for the first time today. What a SLOG! The final boss is infuriating!!!
  11. You can add me for Super Monaco GP. I've played that one quite a bit. Just ran through it again this week. I went through Fatal Labyrinth too, but I did use the bare hand exploit. I can do it again without that though. Not like I need an excuse to play Fatal Labyrinth.
  12. I've been teaching without a prep period this year and the twins just started school, so I hadn't checked in much lately and then KABOOM! So glad to see this forum here. I'm a full time teacher, full time retro toy and game collector, and a full time/overtime dad. I've been forcing myself to actually play my collection rather than just throw games in a drawer which is what started me making YouTube videos about my collection. The pride of my collection are my original arcade machines: Pac-Man, U.N. Squadron, and Power Drift. I just pdf'ed my SEGA SOURCE binder which is an old retailer info thing which is pretty cool. I can't get it under 16mb right now, but I'll get it uploaded somehow. If any of you like, please check out my videos and let me know what you think. I just reviewed Ghouls N Ghosts and Trouble Shooter recently. This year I'm focusing on SEGA, but I've been focused on Atari 7800 in the past.
