The liberal media did not accomplish this. Trump accomplished this by emboldening and supporting white supremacy, racism, and racists. Supporting Trump doesn't make you a racist, but it tells the world that racism isn't a deal breaker for you. Pretty shitty way to be.

People are around all over here. But the demographic of the type of person here stereotypically is a liberal.

Another reason being conservative leaning people usually dont feel the need to chat about their politics so much. Especially to a crowd of liberals

Nah.  It's an age thing.  Older = higher rate of Republicans.  Every football community I'm in is older, and leans heavily conservative.

And those guys never shut the fuck up 🤣

I would argue that he embraced Nationalism. The natural result of nationalism is distinguishing citizens and people legally working on naturalization from foreigners. If nationalism is racism then ok maybe he’s racist.

In general, excluding Europeans, non-US citizens are of different skin colors. I believe he was simply enforcing laws related illegal immigration that already existed before he became president. He saw it as law enforcement on non-citizens, the media reported it as an attack on non-white races.

Dont get me wrong. Racism is real. The attention that George Floyd brought to police brutality against black people is real issues. But those issues have been ongoing in this country long before Donald Trump was President.

I’d like to hear some of our non-US members thoughts on the topic of nationalism. There are nationalists in pretty much every country @Dr. Morbis

Over the past 4 years the liberal media has kind of accomplished making support for Donald Trump synonymous to racism. Nobody in America wants to be thought of as a racist, it’s quite a serious allegation over here. So many moderate Trump supporters have taken to hiding in the closet over the past few years.

Not everyone who supports Trump is a racist, but everyone who is a racist supports Trump. I think that is essentially pretty true.

Actually Tucker Carlson just got on last night and said a lot of what I said. He started off pretty moderately just saying we should give the allegations a fair look. But he gradually amped things up and by the end of his session he was full blown kool-aid man.

He spoke with a calm-sounding demeanor, but I don’t really think that is “moderate”, considering the allegations are rather out of touch with reality. But it’s no surprise that was his starting point, and he escalated from there. It’s what he does.

Hard disagree there.

Ignoring that the statement implies a prerequisite of racism is support of Donald Trump.

Also it implies that racism didn’t exist before donald Trump was born.

Here’s a straw man example:

The black community for example leans heavily Democrat, but there are multiple examples of racism from people of color.

In a recent example you can look at the current issue everyone is thinking about: Coronavirus.

There are news articles where people of color attack people who look East Asian unprovoked because “they brought the coronavirus to America”

So by using that anecdote and the logic above you can therefor say “Not everyone who is black is racist towards East Asians, but everyone who is racist towards East Asians is black”

...this is of course all UNTRUE because the POTUS calls Coronavirus the “Kung Flu”

Racism is an ugly, disgusting, repulsive but COMPLETELY NATURAL human trait much like how anger, lust, jealousy, envy, and pride exist and are perfectly normal, yet disgusting aspects of humanity.

Id argue racism is a spectrum. Akin to sexual preference.

Some people are nearly exclusively straight, but even they might compliment their same gender on their appearance...similarly, some people are nearly exclusively inclusive of all races but will have an unconscious bias towards people of their own kind.

Didnt richard spencer want/vote for biden this time around? Trump didnt create his ethnostate.

Thats a load of horseshit dude. I personally dont think trump is racist. If we keep repeating it maybe itll make it true. I dont know whats in his heart. You dont either. I do know Robinette has said some pretty racially insensitive shit. Nobody cares about that. People want to label trump a racist so its easier to pen him as an enemy. I havent seen really one definitive bit of evidence that trump is racist. Its always a word twist or trying to frame a policy racist.

While most people would agree with you here, this is NOT what the left considers and by even suggesting there are people who are exclusively inclusive you are a racism and need to admit it to right your wrong.

That is the progressive lefts ideology and it's why they didn't pick up more senate seats this time around. It's a message that resonates with the outspoken few.

I think regular folks are as abundant as ever, it's just now that kid who you wanted to shut up on high school has a Twitter and everyone who is like that kid also has Twitter and they just tweet each other all day long.

And we're supposed to think that's the pulse of the nation when really 95% of us are rolling our eyes wish they would just shut the fuck up.

I'm not saying I have the answers but I sure know what the answer isn't and they the progressive lefts implementation of intersectionality and making every issue in the country and issue of race, and of power, and of the oppressed.

Dudes comment clearly triggered a rapid, almost reflex type of response in a couple of us! Just saying 😉

Political threads are fun but so unhealthy for the mind!

@Nintegageo please don’t take my disagreement over your post as hatred towards you.

@RegularGuyGamer I don’t like pinning any extreme point of view on any one exact group. I’m a right leaning centrist for example, but even a “righty” like me will admit that America is more socialist than people think. We literally have a program called social security for example.

What about Karen??

You mean the park dog walking one? She was supposedly a prominent investment banker with Franklin Templeton so honestly, wouldn't be shocked that she's a Republican.

Btw I know I was generalizing and partly joking, so obviously there are exceptions to the statement.

But would you admit that even were universal healthcare successfully implemented, America would still be WAY LESS socialist than commonly portrayed by right wing messaging?  😛

Every Democratic candidate that said they wanted single payer healthcare won their campaign.

The democrats that lost were the moderate democrats.

70% of the country want medicare for all that is the center of the country.

delusional

Fist off you can frame poll questions to engineer a result. So I dont really buy those polls.

So this is saying that only if it means keeping private insurance. You see......right there that wont happen. Private insurance cant compete with tax payer subsidized healthcare. Thats like saying hey open a thrift store next to goodwill. See if you can compete. Everyone with a brain knows adding a public option is a trojan horse for wrecking the private insurance industry. To think contrary to that is naive.

Correction there will still be some private insurance. Supplemental that you wont be able to afford. Itll just go the wealthy that alot of you progressives hate.

Youll have healthcare. You're young, it wont be a big deal. Most of us here are still young or relatively young. But youll be left with dimenishing quality care. Quality care in this country is top notch. Once you go to universal healthcare you cant ever undo it. Its forever. So if it is a disaster then this is a very dangerous road to go down. There is a reason people come here from all over the world. I get it , there are some not so great aspects. There are several things you could do to make healthcare so much cheaper, and you can do that without burning down an entire system.

You want to give government all this power, but you do understand that means someone like donald trump could be in power controlling your healthcare.

Except it works in every other industrialized country and would save us trillions of dollars. Medicare works just fine.

There are many different polls that show between 67%-72% that want medicare for all. The results get even more positive when voters underatand when the queation is framed properly and voters understand what they would be getting.

Edit: Why did you grab a poll from two years ago?

I'm honestly not sure.

We're already the worlds largest socialist democracy as it is. I think something like a touch over half of the US Federal budget goes to social security, medicaid, medicare, chip, snap, and other various safety net programs.

As an FYI, but if you just add universal healthcare on top, then you're double counting with medicaid and medicare 😉

I thought it was implied that if we have universal healthcare we can phase out Medicaid and Medicare.

But as it stands today, those two things alone are already a massive part of the US Federal Budget.

lol. Then you’re not paying attention. Look up any of these phrases with his name and explain away the racism:

Central Park 5 New York Times full page ad

Obama birth certificate birther movement

“never heard of” David Duke KKK Grand Wizard

jews will not replace us blood and soil

Biden has said and done some totally racist bullshit. No doubt. The 1994 crime bill is the biggest example that people point at. I’m sorry, were you a very smart person 26 years ago? or the same person you are now? He has called it a mistake. Would you yourself now support the meat of that bill? I bet money Trump would. Back to us, would you and why or why not? Let’s chill with the accusations of others and get into personal reasonability.

And, idk where you’re getting this constant “Robinette” reference from. I’ve never heard of of it elsewhere. I read and watch a variety of local and national left/right news sources so I’m gonna say that’s some fringe shit you’re onto. Either way it’s an obvious attempt to feminize or demasculate Biden based on his middle name, which is laughable and pathetic coming from someone who complains about partisanship.
