The rogue idiot defense depends on how the group responds to said idiot. Are they disavowed and banned? or are they tolerated and defended with excuses ("they were just joking") with others even joining in. 

I've heard the "rogue idiot defense" employed when people call Comicsgate a hate group (the comic community's version of Gamergate), but a casual browsing of the comments section of any pro-comicsgate video with dozens of "Heil, Comicsgate!" comments, belies their proclamations of good faith intentions.

Again, I found out Goodyear's actual position on this in one Google search. He couldn't do that, or ask one of the hundreds of people that work for him to look into it? Or get Goodyear on the phone and ask what the hell is up with the policy?

It's extremely troubling to have a president do a knee-jerk reaction like that and damage an American company. And some of his supporters still believe that Goodyear is against them, even though they're not.

There's no excuse for this.

This guy is doing real harm to people, and for really petty reasons.

Let's be real -- he probably found out about this policy while on the toilet, and immediately responded on Twitter, mid-dump.

Anyone else watching the RNC? Jesus, I mean- after 1 night, ive already heard how California is all used heroin needles and human feces and Trump is the “defender of western civilization” 🤣🤣

 

Didnt even watch the DNC but read about the roll call and saw it compared to the RNCs sweaty parade of white men who were all trying to please daddy Trump lol

 

Any republicans want to say what they enjoyed about the 1st night? What policies you are excited about? I mean Biden only had a plan to stop the corona  virus, he definitely didnt have “celebrities” that are famous for pointIng guns at protesters.

I think it's laughable that the pundits on Fox News and the suits at the RNC are raging about how Biden and Harris will lead to a socialist apocalypse controlled by China. Anyone who thinks Biden/Harris are radical liberals have no concept of the political spectrum. Hell, Sanders/Warren/AOC aren't even extreme liberals, they are the very beginning of progressive ideals. Anyone who grew up in the USSR should be completely appalled and offended at the very notion that a Biden/Harris presidency would look anything like they experienced. I swear if Ronald Reagan were a mainstream politician today he would be considered a left-leaning moderate.

We are living in a post-fact world where the President of the United States takes pictures with Goya products in the oval office and 4chan could unironically impact the results of our Presidential election. The sky is my ass and the earth is my farts, any concept of normal is completely and forever out the window.

I couldn't bring myself to watch it for more than 5 minutes.  I honestly don't know who to vote for in this upcoming election.  I feel like my vote is wasted on the independents, but this two party system has offered mostly garbage.  I know I for sure can't vote for Uncle Donald again, but Joe definitely hasn't won me over yet either.

I think that how most people will vote is fairly clear by what they say in here, although as mentioned earlier there may be people reading and not commenting. I see the point that it could be interesting to see the demographics here. [EDIT: added]

My intention with the question was to drive the discussion in an analytical direction and avoid an argumentative one.

? Are you referring to Bernie Sanders? I highly doubt anyone thinks he will win, much as I wish he could, and think he would if the Democratic party would get their heads out of their asses. If you mean any of the Libertarian or Green party candidates, I’ve heard barely a word about any of them in person, social media, or in the variety of news sources I read.
