Whatever was there is gone it seems, that sucks, missed it by an hour...figures nice of them not to notify their buyers in email.

Ah maybe, but I hope not. Id rather take a chance on specific games

It's not all blind boxes is it?  I refuse to do those.  Given what I have to play on these days I largely have a large chance of getting a game I don't have a system for, or one I already had, disliked, and dumped.   There are a few games in those tiers I'd take a shot at, but not at a risk.

Agreed, I’ll attempt to “beat out” other people to get a specific game that I know want, once a year like this. But I don’t play the blind box gambling game

I think I've seen a few variants of VALIS being offered on the Switch.

What is the best route on this if you really want it?  I know Play-Asia has it, seems to be a ASI-(english) region one, and I know I've seen it elsewhere too.  I know LRG will have it in January, but I'm sure they'll pull their usual slow as snail shit stunt of making people wait probably until late Summer to get it, despite the fact it doesn't need any localization other than the sticker and box cover art and them printing on of those pointless trading cards too.

If you're fed up with LRGs slow grind and the game like this has an Asian release, what's the best path?

I played it on iOS and thought it was super good. It's like all the best parts of Rez and runners without the mind numbing repetition of endless runners. Best game I ever played in the genre at least.

Was late to the sale by 10 minutes, missed out on a chance to snag some heavies including Shadowgate which I still don't have. Let's hope the RNG is kind to me this year. 

Also fun to observe: there are 19 sealed copies of Grandia HD Collection sitting on eBay right now starting at $129 for the lowest. As of now this title is still available in the blowout sale. Feels like prices on the secondary market are going to crater soon.

Missed out on some of my most wanted (Polybius, Celeste and Furi), but managed to get Black Bird, which was actually the one I wanted the most.  Added on some impulse buys, some of which went out of stock during checkout (which was probably for the best).

Glad I have a new provider and phone, I was in the sticks in my car.  I got 2/3 of what I was hoping to, but got screwed on #3 because it was in my cart, I was in process and hit pay, then it went...NOPE and then it reprocessed and charged on the 2 without a hitch.

Kind of pisses me off having it in cart and under processing payment isn't enough, actually it does piss me off.

Anyone end up having a copy of or get a spare Curse of the Moon #1?  I do NOT want to pay a scalper like $100-120 on trollbay for it.  I ended up with the sequel so that's going to eat at me along with Tiny Metal.

 

@MiamiSlice Damn I hope you're right, Curse of the Moon I got hosed out of despite where I was with it as I just said. >:\  I'm sure Grandia is just being overinflated.  I tried to sell mine for about $100 last year (tried a be nice at $80 bit too at the end) for months vs other idiots paying over $100 for it and it never moved, so I put it back on my shelf.

I strolled in like 10:07 or so and grabbed a few specific games I wanted. But I also already had grabbed things like Shantae and the other really sought after ones when they were live. Which is pretty easy to predict which games will do that, so if your able to keep an eye on their store and pick up big names like Shantae or Castlevania I encourage that method. 

Side note. Anyone getting blind boxes, I think your insane, as it is something I would  never do. Id rather take money to a casino, and I hate casinos. But have fun with it, I’ll keep an eye out for various openings for fun.
