  1. Hey @Gloves Can we make the eyeroll emoji thing look more eyerolly
  2. I don’t see why that’s considered special. We already settled this on the other thread. Everyone already knows it’s more correctly called PSX
  3. And 1 screw Zelda also. It’s the rarest, there are zero known to exist
  4. It was a part of my childhood but I’m so burnt out from CE’s. I hate CE editions, they make me feel sick now.
  5. If you look at the screw holes on the back shell, they are part of the injection mold pattern. They are not drilled. You can tell because the inner surface of the holes is smooth. If the holes were drilled, they would have a rougher surface with swirl scratches. I doubt Nintendo would have made another mold with either no holes or only one hole. Assuming there are no other molds, there would be no one screw Zelda like you described.
  6. I smell a new market for Queen of England edition homebrews and mods. Limited production of 10 units intended as tribute to the Queen. Unfortunately she did not accept them, so now they can be yours
  7. The article says the queen never even took possession of it. I have a regular Wii that the queen never took possession of. Mine is only $10k
  8. Haha I’m quoting myself here My vague memory proved to be correct.. Just picked this up on a local Craigslist sale. Unfortunately looks like the previous owner attempted to peel the refurbished sticker or something, it’s raised from the middle but not from the sides. But I’m not complaining, haven’t even seen this since it was for sale in 2016 and I’ve been looking the whole time.
  9. I used to think that there would be a crash in retro game collecting. But now I’m starting to think that it’s actually asset inflation caused by money creation. We are seeing inflation in many things: stocks, commodities, crypto, real estate, collectables, cars, you name it. Even consumer goods are beginning to see some price inflation. Everyone is busy “investing” their money into things rather than spending it in the real economy. Unfortunately, parking money into these investments means the money is no longer circulating quite as much through the real economy (ie. services, restaurants, tourism, consumer retail, staple goods, etc.) Indicators that the real economy is not getting the money circulation it needs (money velocity) means the government will just pump more money into the economy in the hopes that the additional money in people hands will stimulate more spending in the real economy. But instead people just take that additional money and invest it, which creates even more inflation in these investments.
  10. x2 A lot of employer selected 401k custodians will charge high fees. They figure most people aren’t going to pay attention to what they’re charging and won’t work with a secondary broker. When you get outside of the broker that your employer selected you’ll find there’s a lot more competitive brokers out there. Continue getting the maximum match from your employer as that’s free money, but put any excess cash into a secondary broker
  11. Your right, I’m not drawing down yet, so have thought all that through yet. I get that you should be in stable investments by retirement age. But assuming you got 1M by age 43 and if you can afford to work and extra 10 years after that (not touching investments) you should be able to stay in growth funds for an average of 10% another decade right? You may get a low return some years but averaged out over the 10 years, should come out ok right?
  12. I wasn’t criticizing anyone who may be retirement age. Just pointing out to the younger generation, there’s a lot of learning resources and YouTube videos nowadays. Dave Ramsey is an example. If someone has a modest annual income of $45k and they save 10% pretax monthly, that’s $750 a month or $375 biweekly. At 10% average annualized return (pretty easy to find with many mutual funds) that will get you $1M in 25 years (assuming no major collapse of the financial system as we know it) Anyone who is 18 years old right now, follow this and retire at 43. 10% annual return on $1M is $100k spending money each year.
  13. If you are the average working American and you don’t have at least a million by retirement age, you have not been doing it right and may not even be retiring comfortably
  14. Sounds like it was a reseal to me Ba-boom!
  15. Haiku time: Doge coin is a joke. If you spend money on it, The joke is on you.
  16. You should see if Wata will grade it
  17. I’ve had many chances to get these CIB over the years for less than $100 sometimes as low as $40. Always hesitated then declined because your essentially buying cardboard. Those old magnetized floppy disks just don’t seem very appealing to me, they might even be rotted out from all the years.
  18. Yea just wait until a major currency starts to fail like Euro, USD, Yuan etc and you’ll see bitcoin take all the blame. Then governments will fix the problem by putting out their own version of cryptocurrencies that basically copy all of the best features of bitcoin. Then they’ll outlaw bitcoin and they’ll start going after a few high profile bitcoin people to make an example out of them.
  19. There’s an Italian restaurant called Carrabbas over here, they give you a teaspoon of spices on a plate and pour olive oil over it. You mix this up and dip toasted Italian bread into it. It was so good I had to look up the recipe for the spice mix: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.food.com/amp/recipe/carrabbas-italian-dip-mix-140869
  20. Why are black people African American? Good intentions. It sounded more politically correct when people started saying it. Unfortunately it’s not accurate and it’s now out of fashion. Why do we call Chinese people Asian but we call Indian people Indian? Why don't we call Indians Asian when India is literally another country in Asia? It doesn't make sense to me. Some people do call Indians and Pakistanis Asian, just depends on who you are talking to. I have a Pakistani coworker who identifies as Asian. Fun fact: technically speaking Iranians and Afghanistani’s are also Asians. And Egyptians and Moroccans, although Arabs are technically Africans. If we're celebrating race, can we celebrate my whiteness? Can we have marches and whitelivesmatter rallies and treat me great because I'm so hardcore white? If I don't get a job, can I blame it on the fact I'm too white? Someone did this before. Didn’t go well for him: https://www.cnn.com/2015/05/09/living/colorado-bbq-restaurant-white-appreciation-day-feat
  21. Wow that sandwich looks amazing, but did you post this in the right thread?
