  1. The issue with ambassador 3ds is that you only get to keep the ambassador games as long as the original Nintendo account is linked to that device. If the buyer wants to buy eshop games on that device then they have to link the device to their own account meaning they have to wipe the data including the ambassador program
  2. I read online some people will use Remote Desktop on chrome books to connect to a pc that’s always online in their closet. That’s how they get their windows fix. sounds like a good idea. I’m a straight pc guy though
  3. Unfortunately I’m not in IT. My manager wont see the value in Python as it relates to my current role, as there is none, and our IT dept isn’t much of an IT department. Typical solution is to tell us “yea that’s a known issue” or “we can’t do that”
  4. Is it possible to have a poll that users can rank a whole list of poll items. Then the poll can sum the scores assigned by everyone’s ranks and rank all items based on their score? For example if I wanted to find out the best-to-worst ranking in a list of 10 games, and everyone ordered them from best to worst, then we could get a consensus of everyone’s feedback based on some mathematical averages. Could this be done??
  5. Ha ha ha.. while all you suckers were paying hundreds of dollars for an NES, and hundreds, maybe even thousands for a modest NES library in the late 1980s, I waited patiently and didn’t play NES until the early 2000’s and got to play NES for pennies on the dollar. Ha ha ha. Hopefully I can live another 20 years so I can rip you all a second time with the Nintendo Switch!
  6. I am learning to code Python. Have only been using my company issued laptop for the past 5+ years. I am not allowed to install apps on my company laptop, so will need to buy my own NEW personal laptop as my personal laptop is from 2007. What do you all recommend for a $500 budget? Need Windows. I am more interested in build quality and ongoing support for the hardware... not so much on the high end specs.. I know theres a lot of Chinese gaming laptops these days that boast high end specs, but are poorly designed. Would like to stick with HP, Lenovo, Samsung and the like..
  7. I love when I am losing hard and then I get a star followed by a bullet bill and it launches me into 1st place for the win
  8. You should send them the shipping quote. A sensible seller would look at that and make things right. Especially in their case since their costs are significant less than the games price. Add that to the fact that shipping from them to the US is significantly less than the other direction
  9. I like Gamestop and hope they could stick around. The employees can be socially challenging, but I’ve only had good experiences with prices and quality. That said, Gamestop currently has no vision. How can they operate like this? The new ceo said they will be redefining their strategic direction due to the new industry trends, but they still have not outlined how. I see cost reduction measures like share buybacks, store consolidation, headcount reduction. They sold Spring Mobile for $700M, but now it looks like they are trying to build another cell phone business, (presumably so they can sell it again for another several hundred additional millions??) The fact that they don’t have any major announcements for refining their core game business and their loss of focus (getting back into cell phones) tells me they don’t have a clear vision going into the future.. That’s not good because the market has changed and they can’t keep doing the same thing and expect it to work.
  10. Will the disappearance of Gamestop cause more people to sell game stuff at garage sales? Or will people just start selling stuff online or through apps more
  11. They don’t appear to be colorized. Looks like there was an unfinished attempt to colorize at one point. The ones on the reprocart look to be original black and white roms all merged into one cart
  12. Just picked up a Megaman x buster cannon for my brother 70% off. Also a genesis classic mini for $34. Chatted with the guy in this store who I’ve chatted with on and off for the past 5 years. He’s not going to relocate.. said the writings on the wall for Gamestop. He’ll be learning new skills to get out of retail
  13. If it’s the only one available on eBay and someone who really wants one, has the cash and doesn’t know anyone in the inner circle... it could end up bought
  14. Dos games: Abuse, Johnny dash in monster bash, jazz jackrabbit
  15. Yoshi island is a tough one to 100%. I only ever got 100% on the first world. Then beat the special stages but couldn’t 100% them.. then I quit... Still wondering what kind of special stages there are in the other worlds. Ah well
  16. Just wanted to get on here to express my dissatisfaction. Nintendo had a sale for 50% off their NES controller joycons on the 9th and 10th. You had to login before it would let you place an order. I clicked on the login button probably 30-40 times at various times between those two days and every time I did it, I’d get some 800 error page. Now that the sale is over, the page is working again. Cmon Nintendo, if you didn’t want to let them go that cheap, just don’t advertise a 50% off sale. That’s lame
  17. This chart is a strong case for not releasing a switch pro right away. Tapering console sales would trigger a system refresh. That said, new consoles are announced from Sony and Microsoft. If Nintendo is to rely on ports that were primarily developed for the more powerful platforms, then they’ll need a more powerful console. I guess the question to ask is how much do Nintendo console sales depend on PlayStation/Xbox ports?
  18. Haha no I don’t think they’d do that again. At least not with a “Switch pro” Just had to take that jab at your comment.. couldn’t resist
  19. Wii = 101.6 million systems sold Wii U = 13.5 million systems sold This was the story for pretty much every single Wii U title
  20. Too bad we skipped the 16-bit sage. Maybe that one stayed in Japan
