  1. 1) you are under no legal obligation to announce that your product was created with NESmaker, however we hope you are proud of that fact, and it would be unethical to explicitly claim otherwise. That seems perfectly reasonable to me.
  2. If you're going to add such distinction, for interests' sake, I'd say let's toss on the tools used for as many games as possible. Is it not interesting to know that UserX made GameY with C# instead of straight Assembly (or whatever)? Let's consider NESMaker what it is - a tool. You're not making a NESMaker game, you're making a game using NESMaker; the verbiage here is important I think. Rather than putting baby in a corner cuz he used a tool, why not go the other way and simply say we want to have as much info on as many games as possible available and up for discussion? Looking at the list and JUST having "NESMaker" next to some games while the rest are barren of details is actually I think doing the OTHER games a disservice. Let's get something like this going: Doug's Cool Game NESMaker Visual Studio Code Mesen Some audio engine or something SoleGoose's Game Jam Sublime Text Editor Assembly gauauu's GBA Extravaganza VIM Literally just Basic
  3. Questions in my mind when considering buying a homebrew game: Does it look fun?
  4. Thanks for the heads up, I've been alerted to this, and put in a support ticket. They usually get back within a day. It might have something to do with the update that was pushed to the forum software (some of you may have noticed the other day an "update in progress" page showing up). Since it's not seeming to BREAK anything and a refresh seems to fix it, I'd consider it minor unless it keeps happening. I'll monitor and report back when I know what's up, and if I have to apply a fix what that is.
  5. Keep in mind that a Joker movie just came out. Are other comic games seeing similar spikes?
  6. I'll start 'er off. I wasn't actually aware of this until today when I installed the Epic Games Launcher to play The Outer Worlds, but apparently they actually give away a game or two every week: All you need is to download the client and create an account, and you can add the games to your account to keep forever.
  7. Share any free games you find online in here. This can include "currently" available free games and "ongoing" free games. For "current" what I mean is "get it free right now, before X date, on this site!". As for "ongoing" we can keep a running list here in the OP of sites that have games on offer for free. I'm not gonna list stuff where it's "free" as in like a week free trial, or Runescape where it's an online game you can play for free. Just literally - "Go to this site, maybe make an account, and you get this game for free to download and play whenever you like". Same goes for stuff like Nintendo Switch online or PlayStation Plus where they give you "free" games for being subscribed; that's not free, and you lose access to the games if you cancel your sub, so not what we're going for here. Since "currently available" games will change regularly, just follow this thread to get the latest in free games. Lastly, obviously - keep it legal. No torrents or anything else even slightly questionable. If it's questionable I won't toss out punishments but I will edit your post to remove links. Further, no offering to share accounts or anything to get around "family" rules on any service or anything like that. Just straight up sites and events with free games no strings attached. 8. It's really not mind reading, it's just showing a bit of care and dedication to your partner. When she says she's hungry do you not offer her some food? If you say your back is itchy does she scratch it for you? A good marriage IMO is built on wanting one another to be happy, and looking for ways to fulfill each other's wants and needs. That said, it's unreasonable to be mad at your partner for not picking up on hints. Disappointed perhaps, but not mad.
  9. Interestingly enough there's next to no information whatsoever online about this game in the form of guides or walkthroughs. A few people have done playthroughs on YouTube and there are some "cheats" (actually just telling you what you unlock for beating the arena mode levels, not exactly cheats), but no actual INFO. One thing I didn't mention in the review too is that the game is playable with two players! No way I was going to convince my wife to play so it was a solo affair for me, but it could definitely be really fun with a friend!
  10. It's a bot or someone running a script. I already looked into it. THAT said, we HAVE had a consistently high active user base. We are planning on doing some sort of "state of the site" update after a few months to keep everyone appraised of how things are looking, really keep everyone in the loop.
  11. I'm watching Jungle Book. One of my favorites.
  12. Lol what do I look like, a systems architect? Oh wait...
  13. Come to think of it, technically speaking, I did two or three in-person trades with people through NA. That said those interactions were purely transactional, we didn't hang out or anything afterwards. Oh shit Bert! I just remembered, I've seen Bert in person a few times. Good guy, again though pretty transactional meetings.
  14. Thanks, I'll toss you a pm! Prob not into the sealed game as I'd unseal it to play (assuming you're looking for a premium on it being sealed compared to CIB), but DuckTales at least I could go for!
  15. Yeah what yeu guys are talking about is purely marketing. We can disagree with company practices but let's not call a horse a towel.
