We've not put anything into blood writing or lawyers hands or anything like that, but generally speaking, the idea here is that we don't want another NA happening. The information on this site is all of ours, mine and yours, his and hers. If you write it, it's yours, as far as we're concerned. That said, if anyone on VGS happens to be a lawyer and is versed in what we could do to get this written down in such a way that protects the users please reach out to me, I'd be very interested in getting something more official going. VGS will never be sold to a company, but may one day change hands as the "old guard" moves on with life. We're definitely interested in a group ownership kind of situation rather than an "evil overlord" sort of thing. I get a lot of credit for putting the site together, and yeah - I did that. But it bears mentioning that I'm honestly just a web dev who strolled onto the NA scene 2 years ago and wanted to see the community move forward in a positive way. All of this is impossible without the people who kept NA alive and honestly that goes to the mods and admins who held it together, some of them for over a decade. Please remember to shower those guys with praise as they 100% deserve it. All that to say - we agree. We don't like what happened and that's why we're here. Let's work together to make it not happen in the future. We're about the community here and I hope that is clear to everyone.

Now that I think of it, it'd not have to be forced, just a separate theme (Night & Day). That said, a fair bit of work more than likely. I might work on something in my down time but the truth is it'd be pretty low priority.

It's something I could technically do but it'd both be a lot of work, and go against my personal creed of "let people have things the way they want them". Consider that it'd have to be based on the server time, and that'd not align with everyone's clock either - people in Asia for instance might have Dark Mode forced on them during the day, and Light Mode during the night. I'd rather just let people choose the one they like more, or switch at will.

I actually like the light theme, but I'm also a man of the people.

Added. It's a basic theme that I've customized pretty minimally just so we have something in place. let me know how you like it and if you'd change anything color-wise or whatever. I'm holding off on making too many significant effort changes until we have a more fleshed out theme overall. We'll make it all together!

Is it possible you've hidden some generic classes or something for another site and it's transferred over here? Are you on any other forums that use Invision Power Boards? Or perhaps you have some custom stuff on your adblocker if you're using one? Try opening the site on another browser or in incognito mode and see if that makes a difference. I'm happy to help if you need it.

The icons should be there if there are unread posts; if there are no replies, there will be no icon. And if there are no unread posts (for you) the icon should be faded out. Can you provide a screenshot of what you see?

Yeah I'm really sorry guys, it honestly was starting to impact me emotionally, all the problems. I'm going to take a serious break from work to avoid burnout so I can bounce back better than before.
