  1. 1. Rating explanations down below

    • 10/10 - One of your very favorite artists of all time.
    • 9/10 - Killer fucking band. Or artist.
    • 8/10 - Great sound, great songs, great albums.
    • 7/10 - Very good, but not quite great.
    • 6/10 - Pretty good. More than a few songs you like. You'd entertain the thought of seeing them live if they were in the area. Or still alive.
    • 5/10 - They're okay, but maybe not something you'll go out of your way to listen to.
    • 4/10 - Meh. There may be a song or two, or an album that you dig, but you'd rather listen to other stuff.

    • 3/10 - Not very good. You will more likely than not turn the station if they come on the radio.
    • 2/10 - Not your cup of tea at all. Some people might like this, but you are not one of them.
    • 1/10 - Horrible in every way.

    • 0/10 - In the running for worst artist/musician of all time. You would rather take a cheese grater to your face than listen to this.

9.  I kind of wanted to give him a 10 based on the fact that the man did a killer tune about Perry Mason.
He’s always surrounded himself with phenomenal musicians and it shows.  Awesome album after awesome album until what, No More Tears?  Which by the way has some of my favorite stuff.

BTW Cheers on picking the crackiest picture of him you could find 😂

Notice that I dropped Mastodon from the slate.  I figured we needed at least one name brand this month 🤣

I did.  And solid replacement.  Well I wasn’t sure if it was that or the other that got replaced.  Glad if it had to be one of them it was Mastodon.  Never really got into them.  I remember Blood Mountain was super hyped up and I was totally underwhelmed.  Tried Leviathan too and same thing.  Never went back to them even though I’m sure if I gave it a chance I’d probably like it.

3/10 I like Randy Rhodes, Jake Lee and early Zack Wylde, but Ozzy’s voice it grating. Replace ozzy with a better front man and it would be a 7.

What, how dare you.  lol

Ozzy's voice is awesome and he made those guitarist who they are.  Rhodes was in Quiet Riot before Ozzy made him a star.  C'mon man.

Never been into his music at all. Pretty much hate "metal" music as a default (even though I'm always open to good stuff of any genre).

But I saw a concert he played a few years ago. He was in better shape than I had expected, but the show was mostly carried by the bad-ass guitar player, who I think was someone famous too.

Being unfamiliar with most of the music, yet recognizing quite a few of the hits, I really did enjoy almost all of it. It was classic 70s style rock, and much tighter than the "brainless" heavy metal most fans kind of tend to make it out to seem like.
Not that I really believed that of course - Ozzy and Sabbath obviously earned their fame and reputation!

I don't think I'm familiar enough with the music to give it a fair rating, but I'll give him and his co-musicians the respect they deserve.
