Like about a couple months back, local Swapmeet I went to had a huge laserdisc collection for sale. I picked up a couple and lucked out in finding laser disc games ( dragons lair ), those id keep a look out for also when looking for players, sega and pioneer have a combo device that is expensive ( totally look that up , can’t remember the model, and it actually has a module for pc engine games too ) Edited October 24, 2019 by Punkr13

Thanks, I collect passively and see I need about 30 yet. Mostly less common like '09 VDB, '09 S, and '09 S-VDB, but also a few silly commons like '14, '26, and '36 plains for some reason. I have a Geoffrey plush and a doll wearing a "I'm a Toys R Us kid" shirt...I was unable to find any info out on this doll. idk if she's a random doll someone put the shirt on or if it's an official doll. The shirt is a doll size and fits the doll well but past that idk. I’m mostly into action, sci fi, and mecha. Some of my favorites are Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne, Trigun, FLCL, Eva, Raxephon, Gunbuster, GitS: Stand Alone Complex, Samurai X, Banner/Crest of the Stars, Gurren Lagann, Gungrave, and Ergo Proxy. I collect all kinds of TRU stuff. I have a hat, sweatshirt, Geoffrey & family picture, some hot wheels cars, a store banner, a big customer pickup sign, a Geoffrey music plush for each of my kids and any future kids, and a Geoffrey plush doll with TRU gift card holder for my kids and any future kids. But I'm talking more exclusives, things that never got released on another format or are in some way different from other releases. 17 hours ago, Jono1874 said: VHS tapes. Found it in a thrift store for 50 cents. It's the whole movie, ripped from a British release I think...hand made label and all. 15 hours ago, ICrappedMyPants said: I’m mostly into action, sci fi, and mecha. Way, way back when I was a kid I watched some Cowboy Bebop and Trigun but never got into them and quickly dropped them. I'm more into horror/gore, drama/thriller, and the occasional slice of life/magical girl stuff. My tastes are all over the place sometimes. One thing I wanted to get from TRU before they closed down was some sort of signage or one of their hand baskets. Never did...our closest TRU shut down years before they all shut down so it was a bit of a trip to go to TRU and the only TRU left was a TRU/BRU combo. Estil | 1,272
I like doing complete sets of baseball/football/basketball/non-sport cards...I kid you not I have at least 100,000 cards all as complete sets and in binders/pages (including Topps baseball sets from 1974-2015, Topps football sets from 1980-2000, most of the other major sets in the 1980s-90s, and I'm also trying to get all the mid 90s insert sets, especially Fleer/Ultra). And I also like doing vintage reference books (especially World Book yearbooks; I again kid you not, I got all of them from the mid-1920s to 2013...ironically it's quite hard to find those! And i have the Britannica yearbooks for 1960-98 as well) as well as Peanuts books (I got all the Complete Peanuts, Peanuts Every Sunday, all the big anniversary books, both 1980 and 1990 Charlie Brown's Cyclopedia among others) and of course Kentucky Wildcats books, such as Cats Pause Yearbooks (I have 1985-2019) and basketball Media Guides (I have 1973-2010). And I'm also really into reading my local newspaper's archive over at newspapers.com -- I'm currently reading the 1990 issues because I turned ten years old at the time and I would live in one particular place for the next ten years before going on to UK right before the turn of the millennium (that would be 1999-2000 of course). If your local paper happens to be included there, get a subscription! It's worth every penny, honest. Edited October 26, 2019 by Estil

They had three cartoons each, and every one is permanently imprinted on my brain. They were SLP, so each cassette probably contained about ten feet of tape, lol. Dragonwarrior83 | 16
My next biggest to video games is firearms, I have stuff from flintlocks, WW1 to current military rifles, shotguns, handguns, ar-15s in 5 different calibers plus multiple different uppers. I haven't gotten any new guns in over a year though because my safes are full and realistically how many guns can you fire at once, the hassle of keeping them clean, storage, ammo prices. After that 80s and 90s action figures: star wars, GI Joe's, Ghostbusters. Video games are probably my second largest after the guns and I'm mostly going for all the NES games except stadium events, homebrews, and games from other systems I'm interested in. And gold, silver, and platinum, bullion and coins, I have quite a bit of that.
Ghost Soldier | 24
I collect quite a few things including multiple toy lines. I still collect Hot Wheels, MOTU, TMNT, and anything Jurassic Park. I'm also fond of collecting old electronics like boomboxes and computers. I've acquired my first Ford Mustang and have been restoring it. This has lead to searching out Mustang merchandise to spruce up the garage. Alder | 243
Textbooks and other technical nonfiction. I suppose that's the only other thing that comes close. I have about 200ish math/computer science books. I don't really "collect" them though, only stuff that is historically interesting to me or has useful information. I especially like the CS books from the 50s-70s when things were a lot different than they are today. And I've been able to use a few of the 6502 books when learning NES development

Strange | 1,706
I don’t know if this will be a thing I actively start collecting but I bought some casino chips. I found a booth at an antique store that sold coins and apparently casino chips are a newish subset of coin collecting. I just like the aesthetic of them I guess, which is odd to me because despite loving Vegas when I went, I didn’t gamble much because after losing $30 I wanted to burn down the casino in frustration.

drxandy | 3,251
I too am an elongated penny collector, hay guys!! Been since childhood, not very serious until I'm in some museum, theme park, etc and then I try to get all the cool ones but never every single design. Theme park merch: if I find any cool merch at the thrifts from cedar point or really any of the theme parks I've been to I try and snag it up. Shoes: mainly vans CDs: collected as a kid, sold off in the 2000s and then started back up. Always looking for music. Vinyl: mainly from shows I've attended, lots of memories in my collection for sure Started getting cassettes recently, probably have about 30/40 of em Those are it, I've dabbled with other things in the past but tried to limit to things I really love.
