  1. Imports for sure. I love looking at other people's imports but have no desire to invest heavily into that market.
  2. Thanks for the kind words. I actually have considered putting some a spacer behind them to fill out the shelves a little better. The biggest issue with using other gaming stuff as a spacer is standardizing the distance so everything looks clean. I'm sure there is a way to do it, but I have spent enough time looking into it yet.
  3. Well, my massive Billy Bookcase upgrade is (mostly) done! I had to custom cut six large Billy Bookcases which added a ton of time, but worked out in the end. I got all the shelving that I could against the walls and moved the short shelves to the middle of the room. I don't plan on keeping those short shelves in that location, but they are nice temporary storage spaces until I accomplish my dream of finishing the walk-in attic. I also need to figure out what to do with all these damn Amiibo. I love them, but they are space hogs. They will probably get put into two rows up top. From the hallway door Down and to the left are the short shelves I had left over. These will go away eventually to make sure the room feels open, but they're being used for portables now. Looking to the left over the short bookcases reveals the Nintendo wall/corner I need to buy a bunch more shelves and move stuff around still, but I should be able to finish the Gamecube and Wii U sets on these two shelves. SNES and N64 shall have to wait. This shelf to the left of the attic door is the temporary Sega home base. Sony and Microsoft make friendly over here. Still need to buy a bunch more shelves for this area. Poor Quality GIF Tour #1 Poor Quality GIF Tour #2 Here is the secret room behind the door. My goal is to knock down the wall and make this one huge retro game room.
  4. Believe it or not, only 114 releases made it to US retail. Nothing seems to be as bad as the Global Defense you're referencing, but I'll probably grab a few imports to fill out the lineup. Any games you want me to keep an eye out for? I may stumble on something in a lot that isn't shipping internationally that you need.
  5. The Segapocalypse has begun! Thanks @edra9! No good stories here, just the beginning of my new obsession. New gaming storage area can be seen hiding in the background. Look for more pics in the shelving thread or my personal thread. I couldn't go cold turkey on cardboard, so I'm still torturing myself with the 32X. At least the library is small? Can you believe it's relatively easy to get Sega CD games that are still sealed?!? Check out these sweet ass copies of Kriss Kross and Panic! After spending years watching the sealed NES market explode, it's a weird feeling to just choose to buy a sealed game since it's not much more expensive than the CIB version. Also, condition! These things are mostly in VG+ condition! The cases may suck, but they do protect the content! And Master System! I can't compete with @Galdius, but you gotta start somewhere. Just going for USA versions, no variants. Unfortunately I haven't been able to play any of these yet because I don't have a 32X or a Sega CD. Anyone looking to sell for a reasonable price? As for the SMS stuff, I need to clean those pins so they don't defile my beautiful Mega Sg adapter. See you next week!
  6. There is a sealed copy owned by a member here and I've seen a manual. I've never seen a CIB copy or a lone box though.
  7. Good luck indeed. I consider that variant the white whale of the NES collecting community and there are probably at least 40 people here who are also looking. I'd pay a hefty sum for a cib copy, although probably not as much as it would fetch on heritage.
  8. Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I'll try to get to some of these this week!
  9. Stop using logic to prove that using logic is illogical. Hypocrites!
  10. If your console won't work, just keep jamming more discs in. Brilliant!
  11. At some point @ThePhleo will have scanned every insert and you could just build the entry for each game from the individual pieces. It will obviously be a while, but it should happen eventually.
  12. Welcome! You came to the right place. There are definitely a few NP afficionados roaming these halls.
  13. The funny thing is that almost every game in this picture is cheaper now than it was then.
  14. I haven't seen it in many years, but I remember it being awesome. 8/10
  15. Welcome to the community. The number one rule of collecting is to collect what you love, so it seems like you're doing great.
  16. I just started tracking again and haven't seen any particularly good prices yet. And the few decent prices were on games that were already opened. I'm sure I'll snag a few this year, but who knows when it will happen.
  17. Well, I may have spent some time in Ohio, but I'm actually a Michigander by birth and heart.
