  1. I only display my NES games, but as I said, they are in some serious need of reorganization. Hopefully I can pickup some cheap shelves tomorrow. I have about 700 NES CIB, but many are multiples. Still missing about 100 unique titles.
  2. Thanks! My custom shelving has space for about 500 games but with all the variants and multiples I've acquired, that's no longer enough. Hence the triple row underneath R.O.B. My plan is to buy some cheap shelves to hold the extras in a different area so I can get things back in A-Z. Then eventually I'll put up some pics in the collection thread.
  3. I think it could've gone as high as 7 or 8k, but wouldn't have been very profitable for a reseller at that price. I pegged that Zelda at $1500 (couldn't tell if it was a TM or R from the pics on his Facebook page, but it had a tear in upper back corner of the actual box). If you look closely at his pictures (https://www.facebook.com/DadWithTheToys/), essentially none of the boxes had stamped hangtabs (maybe Kid Icarus, but it's hard to tell), so I didn't value them much over $100 each. I put my high bid in the 4k range and I would have considered that a good deal. That being said, having the plastic wrap doesn't mean much to me as I usually just take it off, so I didn't want to push into the 5k range. No clue why a first edition (TM, 5-screw) Zelda would go for $4200 since multiple have sold for less than $2000 in the past month, but sometimes bidding goes crazy on mint copies.
  4. Obviously the value depends on the rarity of the individual games, but you could easily cash out at $100+/game for a mix of commons/uncommons. I was recently watching an auction for a bunch of CIB games in great condition with plastic wrap still intact and it ended up at about $100 per game, even though there were a lot of commons. I say do what you love. Take the Marie Kondo approach: if you look at your sealed collection and it doesn't bring you joy, it's time to cash out.
  5. $3 million? No thank you. Not even if I had $3 billion to spare.
  6. Almost every Sega system except the Genesis/Mega Drive which was quite dominant.

  8. Just finished Headlander (Xbone). It has an interesting combination of Metroidvania exploration with a 70s retro sci-fi style. Unfortunately, it's just not that fun and the story is not interesting in the slightest. I wouldn't recommend it unless you really can't get your hands on anything else. Now on to The Outer Worlds! I've been looking forward to that one for months.
  9. I really enjoyed it. Not quite SotN, but close. And the fact that almost every single enemy has a unique shard is awesome. Didn't love the grinding and crafting, but those aspects were pretty much optional.
  10. Some recent NIBs, CIBs, and a really clean R.O.B. from a Deluxe Set that I picked up.
  11. Have had multiple great trades/sales with Austin. Trustworthy user and always a smooth process. +1 feedback for our most recent transaction. Break Time (NES) CIB + cash for Jeopardy 25 (NES) NIB.
  12. Personally, I thought New Colossus was a bit of a letdown after the amazing New Order. Don't get me wrong, Colossus is good, but didn't knock my socks off. The Old Blood was a bit meh. Especially that final boss.
  13. That steelbook art actually looks pretty nice. The cover art on the standard version is sooooo bad Let us know how it goes.
  14. Yeah, I'm always a little torn with this argument. In the end, they don't create the demand, they meet the demand. But at the same time, they are not what I would consider "consumer-friendly." They seem to believe that they are doing some righteous work and that paying customers should be grateful for the opportunity to make a purchase. As far as I can tell, they they are more than happy to let people buy up supply and artificially inflate prices. This is good for their business as it artificially increases demand. And then there are the wait times and inconsistencies, which are unacceptable. Bottom line: I think they have bad customer service, shady business practices, and only pretend to care about collectors to make money.
  15. I'm not a fan of the artificial scarcity business model, so I'm not a fan of LRG. That being said, it seems like their stuff is quality, even if their turnaround is sometimes horrible.
  16. Welcome! Let's play some time! I don't even remember what my Steam ID is, but I'll figure it out and update my posts. If you want to share your Steam ID, post it as well and I'll create a topic for IDs.
  17. While I agree that Taiwan should be recognized as an independent country, this may be out of @Gloves capable hands.
