  1. That we all took this so seriously just proves how crazy some of those clone console names are. My personal favorites are the FR202 Thunder and the GB TURTLE. Super Jeff would have fit right in.
  2. I would say it's definitely a possibility since production carts didn't come with eproms, and that has eprom silkscreened onto the board.
  3. I love that game. I wish the GC had got the sequel. The Champions of Norrath and the sequel Champions Return to Arms for the PS2 are also worth picking up if you like this kind of game.
  4. Is the password a swear word? I think that would be funny.
  5. I have a strange feeling this isn't the last we've seen of Super Jeff.
  6. Honestly I can't think of a NES game that I used to like that I no longer like. If anything, it's the opposite. I'm finding more and more games that I do like and/or enjoy more as I get older. For example I was really digging Defender II today.
  7. 10/10 If you think it doesn't deserve it, go back to 1985 and say it.
  8. This just shows how secretly popular this site is.
  9. It's because I forgot to click the option to ship everything separate. They're holding it till my other stuff is ready to ship. @TanookiI'm getting Loddoss War with that one too. I just checked and it looks like it shipped today.
  10. I'm sill waiting on Playasia to send me my copy of this. It's kind of annoying because I bought the Japanese version since I could never get an answer from Natsume USA if they were going to bring this one over or not.
  11. Nice, I bought the digital version. Really cool. There were several homebrew I hadn't heard of that look awesome.
  12. I finally got this in. I wasn't a kickstarter backer so I had to wait for it a bit longer. It's an awesome game. I would highly recommend picking it up.
  13. Or maybe the real Nurse Joy was their trainer. Also, supposedly Joy is their family name, so that takes care of not having to come up with a first name. I also would have classified her as a fairy type. I've also noticed that a lot of fairy types tend to work in the hospitals with the Joys. Scroll down this page to see them. https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Nurse_Joy
  14. This one goes beyond 10 for me. It's one of the greatest gaming experiences I ever had.
  15. I have a Pokemon theory today. I believe Nurse Joy is actually a Pokemon. She and all her sisters spread out over the Pokemon world all look and talk exactly alike. This doesn't make sense, and is impossible if they were human. If they are pokemon, however, it makes perfect sense. I believe Nurse Joy is a hyper evolved pokemon capable of mimicking human appearance.
  16. I think quality flash carts have also put a dent in repros also. One of the first reproductions I ever had done was a translated Final Fantasy III, and that was about the only way to play it on the original NES. Now chinese multicarts sell for less, and I was even providing the donor in that case. These days you can get a bootleg everdrive for just over $60 as well. That kind of takes the wind out of the sails of expensive reproductions when the only other thing they have to offer is some fancy packaging.
  17. I can't choose. Squaresoft rocked all throughout the 90's.
  18. I'm glad we've got new stuff coming out, but I'm with you on the quality issue. As things are, it's just cheap product in fancy packaging being sold at a premium for collectors. As much as I roll my eyes at Analogue an their manufactured scarcity, I can at least applaud them for the quality of what they put out.
  19. Florida man makes beer run with gator in hand A man made a beer run to a Jacksonville convenience store carrying a live alligator with its mouth taped shut.

  21. The new old site still doesn't redirect to "videogamesage" yet. Is it supposed to?
