Yeah, getting back in the groove and getting over those initial DOMs has really been the toughest part for me. I do have a basement setup so socialization isn’t an issue but with limited equipment I lose a lot of time having to rearrange my setup for different exercises. Bench to incline bench to overhead press to upright row for example is a total time sink. I think if I get back in my best bet will be body part split. I’m not above picking one movement and just hammering away at it for a whole workout.

I’m so out of shape. Before the kid I was lifting 4 - 5 times a week. Now it’s more like every 4 or 5 weeks. Was working on pull/push/legs split. I liked being able to hit my pull/push 2x a week but I was kind of struggling to keep the workout length reasonable. I’d started working towards lower weight w/ more reps (the heavy low reps was starting to really wear on my joints anyways) which helped with rest periods but that damn push day is still unwieldy. Anyway, I’m currently struggling to get back on it. The old lady keeps telling me I should just try doing 20 min sessions to get something in and I agree but I have a hard time doing that once I get started.

Honestly I only open games that are worth a bit. I clean contacts but I’m not sure I see the point usually or have the nerve to hose my boards down with 409. There’s no profit in faking games below a certain price threshold so I don’t worry about it.

So, my little boy got ahold of the PS4 controller and I came home from work to this purchased and downloaded on my system. I definitely didn’t intend on buying this for full price but I guess sometimes you get surprise Xmas present. I’m only a couple of hours in but I am enjoying it. It’s pretty excessive with the cutscenes. Just let me play the damn game. It is finally starting to open up and let me explore a little. I like it so far.

I don’t know about that. I never had an issue just warping to whatever level I left off at. It’s not like there’s any real sort of personalization of a given playthrough other than what items you happen to collect. And real men don’t need those. Other than tanooki and hammer bros suits. Everyone needs those.

More or less assume that any clean cases you find online have been swapped out lol. Yeah browsing through some used cds is probably the cheapest way to replace them. I’ve had to Frankenstein some of those double cases with the PlayStation logo in the one section though. Just hope that panel isn’t cracked. Those long box cases are a son of a bitch though. They make the standard jewel cases look like tanks by comparison. Broken hinges, broken front, cracked spine, busted cd holder teeth, it’s enough to drive a guy nuts. If you’ve got something pricey with a cracked case the best you can really hope for is to find a cheap copy of Gameday or something.

So my thing has always been drunk posting so now seems like a good time. Pardon me if I’m out of order. I hate what those douchebags did to NA and what they hope to get out of the hobby in general. for 99% of us their actions are mostly irrelevant. Want to jack up the price on a sealed Golf? Go right the fuck ahead. It doesn’t affect me. With a few notable exceptions everyone is here. The fine folks running this site have created a beautiful new home for us with all of the modern touches. GoCollect didn’t actually kill anything. Why is it that when people list Lightspan stuff they just post a picture of the box and then one with the lid open where you can’t see any of the titles? Would you do that with any other game lot? ...why yes I do think I’ll spend 30+ dollars on a box that I have no idea about the contents. Ugh.

Gotta be SMB3. I’ve played it more times than I can count. Although it’s hard to discount the original SMB. It’s so simple and perfect for what it is. Everything about it is unforgettable. I also get a little bit of a chubby for the color scheme in world 3. edit: oh yeah I almost forgot, super Mario 64 sucks.

SMB3. There really is no need for battery save. Perfect controls, perfect level design. Improved on previous iterations in every way and set the standard for everything that came after. i can see the argument for Tetris as well.

The princess‘ floating definitely makes the platforming easier. Love this game. I always loved riding the ostriches. It’s been a while since I’ve played it.

It would have been Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt that came with the NES. Other early games would have been Pinball and Ice Climber. If I remember correctly and I can’t be sure that I do, Legend of Zelda would’ve been one of my first as well.

I went down the middle. 5/10. It’s ok. I’m not sure I understand the strong reactions to it. It’s pretty unremarkable. They basically are Godsmack.
