  1. Depends on how much money is involved with the last 5 games. I have zero patience so I’ll likely just buy all 5 at once on whatever platform (probably eBay) and be done. If they are a lot of money I’ll spread it out over a couple months. Luckily when I finished most of my sets, down to the last 5-10, I had a good spread of game costs. It wasn’t like every game I need was $500+ Some people have really great patience and will take 3-5 years to get the last 5 games they need for sets. I envy them lmao
  2. Saw that this is on the list for the NES weekly contest this year and wanted to grab a physical copy. The going rates on eBay seem a bit high so I was hoping people could chime in and speak on if they thought $600-$700 USD was a good rate. Also, if anyone has a legit one they’d like to part with I’m always down to deal. Or if @fcgamer or @Tanookiknow of one for sale local to them. eBay filtering didn’t really help me out for sold listings as it seems most people aren’t buying these and pricing charting seems to think the current listings are way overpriced. Anyway, all thoughts appreciated! Edit: Or is it stylized as Summer Carnival 92: Recca?
  3. I’ve done all of them except order from Columbia House. I remember the first time using an always on internet connection (DSL) and being amazed on how you just launch internet explorer and boom internet.
  4. I’m always suspect of prototypes, something just seems off on all of them to me lol I leave it to the big guns like @Code Monkey who collects these regularly and even he wasn’t immune to catching a fake one
  5. Successfully recapped one I got on eBay today. Screen wasn’t displaying the game when loaded but it was on. Swapped mine out with radial caps. The old caps are pretty easy to remove with a reflow station. There were a couple that are hard to reach and that white insulation on those two caps is a pain to clear away partly to get to the caps. $325 for the non working one was expensive but a $6 cap kit from console5 and two hours of time probably saved me about $300 on a working one. Came with the OEM AC adapter as well.
  6. So it didn’t sell before but now you are back asking more than double the 2020 price?
  7. Recca is definitely a cool addition and going to seriously test my having to play every game on its legitimate physical medium ideology lol
  8. I’m not apart of the club but y’all should make chili one week
  9. Oh no it flew to me lmao I think it’s something like a 20 flight from NY to Japan haha
  10. 18,770 213,260 - man the person you are chasing really takes a beating. I was all over it and got him on fire but he still kept going lol 232,270 - basically if you spin out twice against the runner give up cause there isn’t enough time to catch back up. If you spin out twice before spotting him give up as well 301,850 - Select for the turbos helps but isn’t great. Made a bust in the first level and didn’t even get close in the second level so I’ll call it a day on this one I only played till the first time I run out time, I was considering that game over
  11. The best Zelda knockoff - Crusader of Centy! Is it worth those thousands of dollars?? Tune in at 6
  12. Ah you replaced the dead caps with SMD caps. I just made an order to console5 to replace caps on a console I got from eBay but went with the leaded radial caps instead to make the job a bit easier. I don’t plan on putting the shield back on
  13. Fresh off a flight from Japan! Even included the end label inside! This thread was clutch to helping me avoid fake/PCEworks copies: thanks to those who posted pictures and were helpful!
  14. Someone got Comix Zone already so Rocket Knight Adventures!
  15. Modern Warfare III Campaign. I know I know everyone crapped on it but I just had to check it out. Extremely lazy that the campaign now has like Warzone type open maps for the campaign with the same looting mechanics. I don’t think it’s terrible but it’s definitely not what you are used to. There are some of those linear missions as well but the whole thing just feels recycled. I did buy Helldrivers 2 but I returned it before I opened it, I’m a one man show when I play games so playing with other people isn’t really for me is what I decided once I got it in the mail. Plus I heard the community is already getting pretty toxic so I’ll pass on that. I might play some team death match on CoD but I definitely won’t play it in a group.
  16. They would have gotten all the help they needed from the pandemic. It’ll be great justice to see them have to pay back all that money in class action purely because they were so greedy about it.
  17. Yay! I was gonna say it’s a bit expensive for people to hate lol
  18. 9.8 A++ Sticker seal first print variant error has an exclamation point after DVD OMFG $2,000,000+
  19. Grind Stormer - if it makes the top 8 I’m buying it
  20. On the topic of other grading companies whatever happened to that dude that came around and was opening up his own graded game company and you had to like send your games to his house?
  21. Been awhile since I posted but I got this minty NES-101 complete in box on eBay. I don’t think the dog bone controller was ever used! It’s in great shape and no cigarette smell!
  22. I asked on both and got about a 5% refund on both. You are usually right about Ground Advantage and Priority taking about the same time but with these two in particular, they both have been delayed and I’m annoyed about it. Plus if you are gonna ship USPS Ground Advantage just set that as your default shipping service and don’t be a lazy ass seller Although the more people that know about and start using the cheaper service it’s bound to start taking longer and longer
  23. I’ve been battling with this myself, really from a civil perspective all they did was not meet their own SLAs for their grading tiers. Sure maybe the class action lawsuit gets money back for that and lawyers fees and damages or whatever the judge thinks is fair. Criminally, what real charges are there here? There are always people out there falling for the next get rich quick scheme and sure the people who are in on it and the early people who come in make money but someone somewhere is always the bag holder. It does look like it’s getting easier and easier to price fraud though so who knows. I dunno it’s all speculation at this point all we can do is follow along on the class action I guess. Here is a funny SEC filing that lists Mark Haspel as a promoter and Jeff Meyer as a director: https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1711064/000171106418000002/xslFormDX01/primary_doc.xml
  24. Nothing happening other than supporting court documents? Nice to see the WATA/HA media control team here using their fake online handle!
