  1. This whole setup makes me miss the 80s/90s lol
  2. The Legend of Zelda is the perfect video game series. Super Mario 3 is the perfect video game. I’ll die on this hill
  3. Why not just post on eBay with a crazy BIN and accept offers? Way more likely to find a whale there to overpay for it. At auction one sold in late February for $5,300 so there is your market price. https://www.ebay.com/itm/134935554065?itmmeta=01HRTAC1JTPANM7DDA11T8CCM7&hash=item1f6ac92811:g:xhUAAOSwG0plzHq9&itmprp=enc%3AAQAIAAAA8NVVnFARwaaZDEBQiwKPCbgM7sXldkb0U%2FXenzsqAhJ5cYabBeWTkwmSOMXhEYR1jdR12TpMLMy5rsxW73utUFEqn7i1p2kvQFyIqaFumlc4jZKI8E%2BUCfus1ZvfKojEFzbqF17lsjKgt1QZB0wU%2BIs21yK704J0DL34I8oNrup%2F5l3ENcA9X%2FyVbJ94V0nOh3DmrAA2NyIfbhiOVvbIKccd%2BzcKw0bJyJhdn0i77xUa6xLbLVhDFyymS6lSp%2B5N43ExEnGRfittMVtZUpe9Qz3XRJOwQALfEYahii64mAmkL5JBuwKruDNFybb95rKb3A%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR7qZsMrGYw
  4. I’m hanging onto this until Thursday at the request of @wongojack
  5. Can I like sit in your booth with like a clipboard for awhile? I just wanna see how it feels on the other side
  6. You give me hope that out of my complete NES set (minus SE) I’m going to find some rare variant in there that actually has some significance in the history of games.
  7. My take from the box, it’s full as hell so good luck to the next person! I’ve sent tracking to @wongojack
  8. Gaming box has arrived at my house. Will add/subtract and get mailed out before Wednesday
  9. I think the worst part of this is trying Tetris pack the box back up for shipping lol
  10. Holy crap an eleven hour drive! You are a trooper
  11. Just booked up a hotel room and a Saturday only ticket for this event. Shit better be crazy cause $60 for a one day pass is expensive! At least I don’t have to fly for this one it’s about a 3 hour drive from me. Midwest Gaming Convention is less than a month away so I’m excited for that as well. I think next year I’m going to hit a west coast event. Anyone else headed to this one?
  12. Well that’s a bummer I went to play my new adventure island hucard and the shit doesn’t work. Goddamn 30+ year old games!
  13. Are there plans to get a US distributor? $85 for a CIB with shipping is a bit steep for me.
  14. Field of Dreams. Man Costner made great baseball movies ️
  15. Analogue Duo is the answer here edit: unless it’s that little gear that always breaks or a cable that needs reseating
  16. My only gripe with the NES weekly contest is all the rules. The TG16 contest was cool because the rules were easy. I blame Skinny with his turtle hopping bs
  17. My strat with this one since board pics on Famicom are impossible is to look for the ones that don’t have pristine labels. The other fakes have really obvious fake labels and some are missing the label on the back is what I’ve noticed thus far
  18. Based on the offers I’ve been trying to make Japanese sellers on eBay you got a heck of a deal lol
  19. I think @OptOut might be another overseas contact that may know of a local one for sale?
  20. I have noticed since I’m playing TG16 more that the manual scans are not as readily available online like NES or SNES are. Some I can find and others I can’t
  21. It’s definitely nice you have them all pretty much CIB. A lot of my set is loose and I had to store them in like card collecting binder so you can’t seem them in all their glory!
  22. Oh yeah 100% a follower but to an extent. I never got on the sealed or graded train but I’m fully onboard the homebrew scene. I didn’t get into the collecting game early enough to where there was still like a bunch of unknown things like variant collecting. I like to think I got in before everyone and their mother was on the scene hitting up yard sales and what not and buying up every single game someone was selling. I like to think of collecting in eras like pre 2010, 2011-2016ish, 2017-2020, 2021-present. Pioneers to me are pre 2010 for sure and the 50/50s are 2011-2016 and everyone else that came onboard is a follower, which isn’t a negative term for me it just means a lot of history is uncovered at that point and all the weird stuff has been documented. I came in around 2014 so I’m probably still mostly a follower but early on the homebrew scene lol
