  1. RotJ is definitely an oddball one. No H seam and it has a slightly different back label on the cart. The box seems a little different as well. The foil sleeve does seem odd but if it was a very late print ('93-'95), then it's possible the sleeve is correct. Maybe Nintendo had an overstock of them and let Sunsoft use them? I dunno. Just throwing some thoughts out there. We still aren't 100% sure if some third party games did actually come with Nintendo sleeves. I am curious if the dates on the chips are a later manufacture date.
  2. Welp, time for my monthly video. This time about MK Mythologies and a very hard to find insert it came with.
  3. Don't think so. It's probably buried on Nintendo Age somewhere.
  4. 10 years ago or so I had one for Robo Warrior on NES but sold it.
  5. Drill Dozer was another game that was very common to find sealed and was cheap forever but now it's gone up.
  6. Back with another video. This one being about a movie ticket insert that is VERY hard find. Enough to where I consider it rare.
  7. They probably thought it was something unique like I did.
  8. This SMB3 guide has a spiral spine and looks professionally done. It doesn't look like someone made it. If they did, I'm not sure why. I wonder if this was a NOA version that was used by a game counselor or was a promo piece. https://www.ebay.com/itm/275577294773?epid=1600612787&hash=item4029afcfb5%3Ag%3AHp8AAOSwpnBjCtsb&nma=true&si=tk1lH7nH%2FjK4nD80wNHMzQ%2B7H7Y%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  9. The first print has the white UPC strip on top of sealed ones. The case should be the Memory card kind, the manual should be in color. GH version is B&W IIRC.
  10. After a long hiatus I'm finally back with a short yet interesting video.
  11. Sounds like you are not ready to come back to the collectors market anytime soon. Understandable. We all have our priorities in life. As for me, it's been over a year since I bought a sealed NES game but it seems like prices are slowly coming down on some games. So who knows, maybe I'll get lucky and snag one for under $200 and that will get me motivated to open NES games again.
  12. Same, I joined later so I missed out on most of the drama. It was almost comical to see the amount of banned users though.
  13. Was Pricecharting approached with an offer as well? From the same person?
  14. It would be awesome if Hogie could somehow buy the domain back but I doubt it's up for sale or if Hogie wants to run the site again.
  15. Both have been down for awhile now and I know they were bought by the same person. Neither site had been updated in a few years so it makes me wonder.
  16. The downside to releasing guides like this is that it gives sellers an excuse to make something seem rare. How long before we start seeing listings like "Rare 00000 Made in Japan Gamecube game" or "Rare First Print 83% Fiber Gameboy game". When Wata released their Black Box variants guide, all of a sudden that market blew up.
  17. Especially mint 100% CIB games. They still fetch a premium.
  18. Graded sealed has come down but raw sealed seems to be going up? It could just be certain titles.
  19. Sealed prices have not cooled and continue to rise which is to be expected. Grading hype BS plus there are far less copies out there. So for someone like me who opens them, the prices are still too damn high.
  20. Good luck with those. Some games like Bases Loaded 4, Championship Pool, and Motor City Patrol can be tough to find CIB.
  21. Update on my GC situation. After calling the buyers bluff they remained quiet for a few weeks and a few days ago requested to send it back. I get it back today and it works fine..... They never sent me pictures of it not working like I asked and the fact that they remained silent makes me wonder if they just played this for awhile, got bored, and sent it back. Either that or their discs that are supposedly in good condition are scratched to hell.
  22. Title says it all. And by Start/Select I'm also including buttons that aren't actually called that but basically function as Start/Select. Option button on PS4 controllers or the Back button on Xbox controllers for example.
  23. Yeah, looks like a reseal. I good one but still a reseal.
  24. Is there a guide anywhere that helps identify the many variants of Xbox 360 HHD's as well as how to identify what brand HDD is inside? As well as other things like the date code all without opening them up.
