I'm guessing this is a label code variation only. Meaning the box and manuals are unchanged. making it very hard to identify which version you have unless you open it.

@MegaMan52 Are there any differences on the box that you can see? I'm guessing v1.1 must be the reprints that used to be so easy to find sealed a few years ago.

Yes, later release Acclaim and LJN games came in a cheaper white cardboard box. They downside is that they are more fragile.

Ok yeah, the gray ones are definitely a later revision. They are stamped in, start with letter A/B which is what DS lite batteries used, and have a -3 revision code. The A would most likely mean 2007-2008.

Does anyone know if a list exists detailing all of the GBA SP battery variants? Or what the codes on the batteries mean? From what I can tell the first digit is a letter and indicate the year it was made. There are W, X, Y and Z codes. W = 2003-2004 X = 2004-2005 Y = 2005-2006 Z = 2006-2007 The original DS batteries are the same and use the same lettering. For variants there appears to be 3 different colors. Gray w/ White Label, Black w/ White Label, and all Blue w/ Printed Text. I believe the gray ones were the very first batch off the assembly line as they don't have any codes on them. The black ones were next but I'm not sure about the blue ones. Obviously they are later batches but I'm not sure where they fit in. Did they come with some 001 models? Or only 101 models? Or are those the ones you could order from Nintendo's website?

Does anyone have the supposedly variant of Donkey Kong Land III version 1.1? Every NA version I've seen has been 1.0. The difference is with the title screen but I suspect it was only a PAL thing. v1.0 v1.1

Sandpaper is much worse IMO and should never be used. You don't need to use much force with fiberglass pens to clean the pins. Nylon pens (the green ones) however are stronger and can do as much damage as sandpaper if you use too much force. Only use them if nothing else seems to work.

They are a little bit stronger than erasers. It takes off a very thin layer of the gold plating.

I was going to suggest using a fiberglass pen as well. Just because the pins looks clean and no dirt is coming off them doesn't mean they are.

There is no rush. I hate to say it but the days of buying a bunch of sealed NES games for cheap and opening them are over. So why not savor the moment? That being said, yes it has been awhile since I opened a game. I've been very tempted to open some more.

Interesting to see how it came packaged. I had a hunch that the Encyclopedia was on the bottom. I figured the inserts would be in their usual spot. Tucked underneath the plastic bag flap. What's most shocking is there doesn't appear to be a NP insert.

It's not flat. It's just a regular sized styrofoam piece. It looks like the cheaper kind though that you find in USA assembled games and unlicensed games.

Did Battleship ever come with a poster? I don't recall seeing one before.
