  1. A resume feature is a must. I've seen my favorite Xmas movies 100s of times. Yet, if I'm watching it for the first time this season and I fall asleep in the middle, I want to resume and pickup where I left off. I don't want to watch the first hour back from the beginning just because it's a great movie and I enjoy it. The lack of save states in SMB3 is a big knock, yet it is easily remedied if you play the SNES version or the NES classic version.
  2. That deal is dead and this deal isn't switch, but I saw the PS4 big box bundle is on sale somewhere at $5 (shipped I believe?) today: https://www.newegg.com/ubisoft-starlink-battle-for-atlas-starter-pack-playstation-4/p/N82E16879807028
  3. At the time I played thru it I considered SMG2 to be the best Mario I had ever played. Of course I don't remember it nearly as much these years later due to nostalgia goggles, but I do remember being wowed by that game. It was damn good.
  4. GTA V and not even close. I look back and that game and can't believe it was so long ago in 2013.
  5. Mostly signs / merchandise / promo items / display boxes and that sort of thing. Not much games, just lots of items that are unique from NOA employees an such.
  6. Yup popculturerelic has been listing cool stuff for probably a decade at least. Every couple of months another wave, amazing the things they have unearthed.
  7. Only one I remember is that @attakid101 guy. Almost banned him for saying Saturn was better than N64. We had already met our banning quota for the month though, so I let it slide.
  8. As much as I love SMB3 I have to agree it should get docked for not having a save feature. Zelda came out in 1987 in the states as the first battery backed NES game (I believe?) and SMB was 3 years later in 1990. The technology was there. However, SMB3 made SMB1 obsolete, at least to me. You look at those two games and it's hard to believe they are on the same hardware. SMB3 really wowed everyone back then and it is still a good game to pick up and play. At least the NES classic added the save state (or SNES Super Mario All Stars.)
  9. I like the Pac-Man nomination. I can't get behind Tetris but I see Pac-Man casting a pretty wide appealing net.
  10. Interestingly enough the most recent "top 100 video games of all-time" post I could find from IGN: https://www.ign.com/lists/top-100-games/3 It has Super Mario World at #1, Breath of the Wild was #5, Tetris was #7 and my lowly off the cuff Diablo II pick was #42.
  11. Man I've never liked Tetris, hope I'm not missing out on the greatest game ever created. In seriousness, are you trying to do this objectively? You'd need to define great (most sales? highest ratings? most influential? etc.) first. Or if we're just looking for off the cuff nominations I'd throw out Diablo II. Not necessarily my favorite but boy did a lot of people play that in some capacity even if just casually. The the replay value keep it going a long time.
  12. Ugh, after the way you responded in this thread I'd say lukiegames made a very smart move. You admit your willingness to file claims, so yeah, sellers block people that seem like a hassle. I'd take less money from an easy buyer than more from an entitled one with issues any day of the week.
  13. I got about 50, never would have got Adventures of Lolo. I did get Mega Man 6 so I'm happy there. I brain farted a lot of Black Box titles sadly.
  14. Welcome over! Let's see some pics of your NWCs
  15. The plastic hangtabs pop right off with finger pressure, not hard to do. Receipt and such add negligible value. I'd send it in to max the value and you should expect at least a few thousand for it. Plenty of upside if it grades well.
  16. I also doubt it. I have a CRT in the gameroom for retro consoles, but the casual gamer is fine with a emulation device on an HDMI TV. Not enough demand for companies to put significant effort into making or marketing them.
  17. NES Deja Vu CIB with Hint Book for $30 Shipped. Hint Book worth $25+ alone. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Nintendo-Nes-Game-Dejavu-Complete-In-Box-CIB/303388979713
  18. But the thrill is in the hunt, owning the collection isn't as fun unless you continue to interact with it on a regular basis. That said, if I was one game away from a set I would also just buy it. I get being patient while building the set but at the end just reward yourself!
  19. Happy Thanksgiving! We have to walk down 2 driveways for a 25 member family feast at my grandmother in laws, then go to my parents later in the day and back here. Good times with family hope everyone enjoys it!
  20. What about a VGSer, do they get discounts too? For the record I think that X-Men looks legit but I'm just a casual Genesis collector. I wouldn't bet the house on it or anything.
  21. Hate is such a strong word.... But Navi from OOT was the first one to come to mind. Not only does she bother you a lot but the annoying "Hey!" jingle is repetitive too. I'll also nominate this guy. I hate water levels in games in general and this damn dude always seems to find a way to bounce into you.
