  1. PRGE, Midwest Gaming Classic and Too Many Games are the 3 that come to mind for me.
  2. Pic of pin? The stickers were randomly distributed in the sealed games. There are multiple variations of the sticker but not sure on the pin?
  3. Hey there good luck with the sale but you cannot require the buyer to pay the Paypal fees. Please update your thread accordingly, thanks!
  4. Some faves that came back from Wata as well!
  5. I've had a couple of VGA games fall off a shelf but eventually got them recased. In terms of unrepairable damage I can't think of anything specific thankfully.
  6. I have that but appreciate you asking at least
  7. Bump still buying NES CIBs send some my way! If you have extras then please let me know!
  8. Paid promply for a sealed NES game, very respectful and easy to work with. Recommended!
  9. As poor as that box is there is still some appeal in the print version. I'd also think around $100ish and a "friend" price should be less. I also would not pay that, but that is what I think it is "worth".
  10. Where did you read this? They are done being in spin off businesses, they are focusing on core games. Please share a credible link if you read that some where. In their financial statements, their philosophy is to consolidate / eliminate underperforming stores. They also want to turn their stores into a "hangout" for lack of a better term. I believe they have a small beta size (5 to 10 stores) that they have remodeled into this setup that are doing very well. I.e. you'd go there an be able to play games, they'd host e-tournaments, etc. Am I saying this is going to transform them into some money making powerhouse? No. I am saying that they have plenty of financial health to weather the storm until next gen. Next gen will also be disc based and backwards compatible so the demand will still be there for a lot of their inventory.
  11. Gamestop won't go bankrupt anytime soon. Maybe after next gen of PS5 but time will tell.
  12. Pretty happy with this one, I believe it is the highest graded on VGA 90s and up are truly special!
  13. I spoke with JJ and he said that he will be continuing PC and hopes to have more time to dedicate to it. It also confirmed that he turned down GoCollect's attempt to buy (probably back when they were aggressively buying GVN.) I'm very happy that PC will continue on.
  14. Or you know, the defense just comes to play, stops the run and forces Jimmy G to beat them. I'd expect a score in the 20s but GB could still win a defensive slugfest of 13 to 9 or something boring. GB doesn't necessarily need to score a ton to win that game.
  15. I think the problem was that him, LukieGames, DKOldies, etc. were used to pricing above market and getting tons of sales in the retro craze. As prices were increasing it made sense. Plus everyone wanted the original hardware and NES consoles were moving. Then the NES Minis replaced it and hardware demand dropped. Slowly but surely prices drifted down too. Pricing above market when prices are down and demand decreases is not a way to survive. But surely people have to see stuff like this coming at some point. There was a massive game store consolidation over the last 5 years and I would expect it to continue.
  16. So I collect 90s cards, mostly Ripkens. PWCC and Probstein are the eBay cosignors and their auctions hit absurdity sometimes. The high end sport cards are extremely volatile, usually in a bubble after news (HOF, last game, death, etc.) That Brady card doesn't even look that rare, there's tons of them on the market. That means everyone wants to be a seller of it. Last public sale of PSA 10 was $135k and the consignor (PWCC, who is a whole nother story) states 1 of 3 PSA 10s they've sold. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-Playoff-Contenders-Tom-Brady-ROOKIE-RC-AUTO-144-PSA-10-GEM-MINT-PWCC/352889265004 The PSA population on it (filter this to Brady) says pop of 157, 14 10s, 19 9s, etc. https://www.psacard.com/pop/football-cards/2000/playoff-contenders/43711 Based on your mobile twitter link above, it states a $400k sale in Feb 19 in BGS 9 Auto 10. Well you can buy a BGS 9.5 Auto 10 for $250k (OBO) right now. Pretty nice loss of $150k there. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-PLAYOFF-CONTENDERS-TOM-BRADY-ROOKIE-TICKET-BGS-9-5-10-HIGHEST-GRADED-EVER/174078412791 So, this card is clearly trending down and has a ways to go before the bubble is popped on it. Unless Brady dies today or something crazy then hype would go who knows where. But its clear that everyone wants to be a seller of it as there is no shortage coming to market, plenty on eBay. Likely because it probably experience an insane speculative bubble run recently. Pretty misleading an article would come out right now stating the $168k card value when last auction was clearly $135k and you can see what direction it is heading. Trades are hogwash when trying to prove a real value. It's all a shell game on those.
  17. Pretty amazing weekend for football. 49ers took care of business and I didn't watch the GB game, but I expected GB to win. For the 2 games I did watch every play, here were my thoughts: Vrabel should be coach of the year. He outcoached Belichick last week, vastly outcoached Harbaugh this week and he's one of the keys to success next week. Andy Reid is known for getting to Championship games and losing, as much as I like the guy. If Reid gets outcoached next week the Titans are gonna win. It's no secret what the Titans gameplan is going to be. Score first, win the turnover battle and get at least 150 yards rushing for D Henry. I said if they did that against the Ravens then they could win, and they did. That doesn't quite guarantee the win against the Chiefs since the Chiefs have the ability to play from behind (unlike the Ravens), but if the rushing game gets off then that's more time on the sidelines for Mahomes. If Henry can rush that opens the play action game too, and really all you're hoping for is at least 1 or 2 TDs from Tannehill with no turnovers. Should be a good game. As for the Texans, Bill O Brien is a HORRIBLE coach and he needs to go. I'm putting that loss on his ineptitude. He calls a FG on 4th and 1 when they've been dominating 21-0. You go for the throat there. He doesn't have the balls to go for that but then goes for a fake punt on 4th and 4 from his own 35 at 24-7? WTF you idiot!!! You could tell that was game there. Then in the 4th quarter down by 17 with about 11 minutes left, he actually was going to send out the punting team until Watson was chirping and they took a timeout to go for it. Game was clearly over by then but the dude is an IDIOT and that team will not with a SB with him as a coach, end of story. Harbaugh also had some questionable decisions in the Ravens game. At 14-6, after you already missed on a 4th and 1 earlier in the game, you go for it and miss again. You take the FG there IMO and go 14-9. A few plays later Henry goes off it's 21-6 and they were done. You don't coach by the book, you have to go outside the box with game flow. Yeah I get the Ravens were 8 and 8 on 4th downs all year but the Titans weren't having that shit and Lamar wasn't himself. You could tell he was uneasy in the pocket all game. Vrabel knew he was going to hold Lamar under 100 yards and take that away. Then he throws in a D Henry pass on the goal line for good measure. Vrabel is a difference maker on that team for sure. As for GB / 49ers, I really think GB can get it done there. But honestly I'm okay with any of these 4 teams winning the SB. Usually I find myself rooting against someone this late in the season (Pats / Seahawks / NFC East / Steelers / etc.) but I'll be happy for whoever brings home that trophy this year. None of these teams have had one in awhile.
  18. Still works for me. I did notice this issue last week on NES, couldn't get the full list to load but if I searched for a "Z" titled game, it would still give me the data for it. I think these are one time hiccups.
  19. As an adult? Absolutely never. As a kid? I tried my damnest! Sometimes I could sometimes I couldn't.
  20. I went back to my files because I remembered selling some sealed Zombie Nations in late 2011 right before they spiked (tripled / quadrupled) in 2012. August 2011 - Traded a Zombie Nation Sealed (MINT, VGA 90ish estimate) for a CIB Snow Bros (manual missing cover) + North South CIB + Talespin CIB + $55. Might have been to @BalloonFight if my memory serves me correctly? Sept 2011 - Sold Zombie Nation Sealed (MINT, VGA 90ish estimate) / GI Joe Atlantis Factor Sealed (not sure of condition) for $325 shipped to Mario's Left Nut. Yeah that one stings. Granted I bought the Zombie Nations for $125 each in August 2011 but man prices can move fast and in a hurry... Here I am trying to finish off a NES CIB set (less SE) and I still need Zombie Nation of course. Part of me is bitter at the price increase so I intentionally pass it over.
  21. Never happens to me. Gixen.com is free and 99.5% reliable according to their site. I never had any issues. I like the site enough that I pay the $6 a year fee for the mirror sniping service which is 100% effective (you snipe from two different servers in case one was down). Never have had a missed bid feeling in a decade plus of collecting.
  22. I was going to say speak for yourself but I did finally get a shipment notification today... on Speed Runs that I submitted before Thanksgiving. (They were 5 day turns then and now they're 10 day.) Needless to say, unless you do a Warp Zone +$100, you cross your fingers and hope that you get the grades anywhere close to your expected time, then double it and hope they return ship around then. That's been my experiences with sending in a Speed Run order about once a month anyway.
  23. Blowout City implies that the KC defense can also shut down Houston... don't see that happening. Looks like the over / under is about 50 for that game and I'll take the over.
