  1. The very last tournament took me a couple tries if I remember right. But no, the game never truly hits a hard-as-nails point. Some of the fringe side quests are a little tricky though. I remember I hit a rock on a course somewhere, and the ball bounced clear off the screen, into limbo and never landed. After a couple minutes of unresponsiveness, I finally restarted the game and had to restart that course. It was at least a bit amusing. Also, when you get to a place in the game where you can play Galf, you should know that you don't have to achieve a certain score in that game, it doesn't unlock anything or make any difference at all. It seems like there's something hidden there, but there's not. Galf itself is the unlockable. I was relieved to learn that. I'm pretty sure it was. I think I gave you Golf Story, possibly Tropical Freeze and/or Mario + Rabbids and some other stuff, for some Game Boy games and variants. Helped complete my set!
  2. Some stuff does come down, but it feels like the headliners that everyone knows about, those only go up. I'd be shocked to see something like SE come down. I'm waiting for Jack Bros and Shantae.
  3. In. I'm going to latch onto inactive people and request that the inactivity rules be strictly enforced.
  4. There's a Kirby's Pinball Land NFR?? Do you mean Kirby's Block Ball?
  5. Great list, I had no idea there were so many! Must... resist... urge to collect...
  6. Great to see you here, rlh. I mean RH. Be sure to make a thread (eventually) for GB label variants, so I can go there and be mad at you for finding a clean rev-3 Zelda.
  7. Under my name it says "Members" and that's a little silly. Obviously I'm a member because I'm on the site. I think it should just be blank. Under admins and mods it says "Administrators" and "Moderators." I understand it's the name of the group, but I think it should be singular. That person is a moderator. Under subscribers, it says "Subscriber." Perfect!
  8. Quaze has a better VB collection than the rest of us combined.
  9. What's the point of welcoming someone who isn't even Joel?
  10. I played through it a while back (if I remember right, it was the exact copy you're playing now) and I thought it was great. Some of the jokes are obviously aimed at people who are more familiar with golf culture, but overall I liked the lightheartedness of it and the golfing mechanics were very good. For some reason I lost it when they did the gag where you thaw out a frozen girl and then end up re-freezing her shortly after. And I like the lampshading at the very end where someone says something like "this kid just started golfing yesterday and now he's already the best golfer in the world!" I don't usually care if a game has a good story, but I loved this one. There were a couple of obtuse moments where I couldn't figure out what to do, and I ended up looking up hints just so I could keep progressing. My favorite course was the one where each hole is a par 1 and the holes are really big. If I'm remembering it right. Ok, all done gushing. Great fun. But be sure you download the updates, there were a few game-breaking bugs that I had to deal with.
  11. Legal. Do you find a lot of video game stuff locally or do you order from abroad?
  12. Are you still in Brazil? Você é de que lugar?
  13. Whoa, way too loud. Perfect! I'll look at migrating the N64 thread over in a little bit.
  14. I was looking at all the casino games for Game Boy to see if there was anything special about any of them. Casino Funpak and Caesar's Palace are meh. Vegas Stakes actually has a save battery in it and 3 save slots, which seems like overkill for a GB casino game. But then there's one called High Stakes Gambling, which has an open casino mode (practice mode), but also a story mode. You have to beat 5 "notorious mobsters" at 4 casino games, and you can buy "cheats" that let you swap cards with your opponent, pull out a joker, etc. I usually find casino games to be too luck-based and boring, but I'm really liking this game and the new strategies of knowing when to use which cheats. I'm on the 4th mobster now, and he's using cheats too, so there's another layer of strategy.
  15. Your'e talking about every worldwide variant of every game? There are no games exclusive to Brazil, right? Variants, yes, but not true exclusives.
  16. My history of Zelda games is that I'll get one that I haven't played yet (none left anymore, but it happened with just about all of them) and I won't like it the first hour or two. But I know that if I stick with it, it will become one of my favorite games. Don't know why I don't like starting Zelda games. I do feel like a sellout saying that BotW is the best one, but I can't deny all the time I've sunk into it, and the massive amount of content and replayability. Stuck on a desert island with only one Zelda? No question. Also, Spirit Tracks is better than Phantom Hourglass, easily.
  17. I've been delaying my annual playthru of Breakthru! so that it'll be worth more points in the future. But that sort of exemplifies the silliness of resetting every year.
