  1. 8/10 A top notch game, anyone who hasnt played it, if you like Ducktales and/or MegaMan and/or Castlevania this game is right up your alley
  2. Had this on Gameboy. One of the few games I would play with my sister and she would kick my butt lol A great game, the hallmark of Puzzle vidya 9/10
  3. I would say no, even though we've long since hit a point imho where it's all relative and nothing anymore is going to truly be "out of time" in a manner of speaking. Case & Point; considering that games like Skyrim are (for better or worse) perpetually relavent because of remaster/releases, HD up-scaling and endless mods, most if not all will probably never reach that threshold where they become truly irrelevant except when specifically designed as such (i.e. MMOs) Also not helped by the fact on the flip side games are being specifically developed/designed with "retro aesthetics" in mind (i.e. a vast majority of Indie Games)
  4. I always go back and forth between 9 and 12. I decided 12 cause it's the only one I've ever really went out of my way to truly, fully, 100% complete.
  5. Resident Evil 3 is the best RE game ever! No one can convince me otherwise lol
  6. If you're looking for a D&D vidya game then pick up some Dungeon Hack, an awesome Rogue-like https://www.gog.com/game/forgotten_realms_the_archives_collection_three If you're looking for actual D&D games, I would recommend getting into 5e. It's pretty easy to pick up especially if you're experienced with older editions. Roll20 is great for the tools and having a nice visual experience, but I also have just played it over voice/text chat like Discord. If looking for books & things, DriveThruRPG has been mentioned, DMs Guild https://www.dmsguild.com/ is also a good resource
  7. I'm also there. As much as I'm a GCN fanboy, I never got into Luigi's Mansion at all. One of my best buds in school loved this game, so I watched him play it a lot. Got more enjoyment that way then trying to play it myself lol
  8. Sonic 2 all the way I actually played & owned Sonic 2 before I ever got around to Sonic 1.
  9. 8/10 OG Castlevania is on of those games I'll sometimes plow through in one sitting for shits and giggles Castlevania 3 I like a bit more, is a top notch game and one of my favs though
  10. This thread in general just makes me think of the Hyperdimension Neptunia series lol. Speaking of... All this talk of Sega and no mention of the MASTER SYSTEM?! As far as names go that's like the super secret hidden boss of video game consoles respect on it's name! XxTurbogafxX would've been far superior, channel that AOL Messenger energy Not enough Z's for my personal taste anyway!
  11. 8/10 Man this is a great, wonderful game, but MGS2 and especially 3 did it way better. Still a testament to solid games that hold up more or less today. Where is a MGS1 4k 120 FPS remake when you need it? lol
  12. My Aunt and cousins had a pristine 5200 that I got to play a good bit when it was discovered during my Middle School years. Had some good times with it, though frankly if going this far back 2600 was better just for sheer number of games 4/10
  13. 9/10 easily. While there are entries to series I like more then their later counter parts (SMB3 vs SMW, Castlevania 3 vs Super Castlevania 4) I still overall prefer the SNES (and Gamecube) & games over it personally. Also thinking on it really not a fan of the degrade in the pins in an out of the box NES. Though man, SMB3 is one of my Top 10 favorites.
  14. Is it truly impossible? We need to get some speedrunners on it, they'll get it sorted lol Really though apparently the jump was fixed in the European release, so there is that lol https://tcrf.net/Teenage_Mutant_Ninja_Turtles_(DOS,_1989) Mega Man on DOS ftw. These are some of the best GDQ runs imo lol
  15. To the point of the topic, I thoroughly believe, unless the game is intended to be updated/added onto *signifigantly* post release (i.e. Minecraft) then a nice 0/10 F- or w/e suffices, cause at that point they deserve the rating. Too bad the current climate of video games, particularly Triple A games is in the habit of "release now, fix later" bullcrap. Even for stuff like Minecraft the games definitely need to be playable & highly polished. Ah well. I digress. First game came to mind for me with this was Metal Gear Solid 5. It's a real shame the game got released in the way it was, with some aspects of the story just completely unresolved. I'm also reminded of some versions severe memory leak issue where the game would imminently crash after so much time. Glorious. A classic
  16. God help us if they ever all join the same game of Werewolf lol
  17. In other news not AEW or WWE Kota Ibushi finally wins the big one! IWGP World & Intercontinental Champion! https://wrestletalk.com/news/kota-ibushi-wins-iwgp-heavyweight-intercontinental-titles-at-njpw-wrestle-kingdom-15/
  18. All this really serves to highlight for me is how unfortunate #2,020 is
  19. Always a fan of GDQ, haven't gotten to watch much of it yet but some good stuff there. Also idk if could be merged with this thread? (I bumped posted on it before I saw this new one)
  20. AGDQ 2021 going on right now, just started yesterday. Haven't had the chance to catch anything due to work, but there are some notable games on the list. In particular looking forward to the trash block lol
  21. I asked for D&D stuff, and was not disappointed! Thanks @0xDEAFC0DE (the book btw is a solid choice, as Curse of Strahd is by far one of my favorites!! Also can never have enough dice lol)
